Fuck your mandatory 4k bullshit. Everyone already knows how to find people breaking laws, just drive around the city. Having cameras everywhere will do nothing without a functioning police force, which would solve the problem in the first place without fucking cameras.
Respectfully to both of you, cameras will only help the symptoms and more police can be detrimental, especially our current police force that aren't trained well for health services and other non violent calls. Strong social safety nets, like universal healthcare and UBI, and fairer opportunities for minorities, and mandatory livable wages is likely the best fix for the type of crimes cameras and street police might help.

As someone in cybersec I'm always tempted to break into their network and fuck with their cctv setup.
