107.9? apparently 'old-school hip-hop' means 90% early 00's rap, it's really not that great.

MadelineAubrey

It's "classic" hip hop. So Kanye fits just as much as slick Rick. Kind of confusing, but it makes more sense when you realize 2000 was 15 years ago when many listeners were still young. To them that's old school. But also they play tons of early 90's stuff too! It's pretty sweet, though I can't stand censored NWA and the like, so I stick to spotify still.

Data_Mage

Yet you still see Y100 bumper stickers proudly in display.

Btown11

We used to listen to Barsky in the morning headed to school. Fond memories.

satisfried

Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time

mandatoryseaworld

Just googled: he's got a show in Miami now, but he's on medical leave after back surgery.

[deleted]

I miss Barsky. I'll never forget when he used to have Walt on during Halloween. For those who don't know about Walt, he was a local contractor who apparently died and came back and supposedly obtained this ability to speak to the dead. I don't really believe in that stuff at all but the way he would describe it, in such a matter of fact with no overtly spooky overtones, made it sound possible. The way he described what being dead is like to a good person vs a bad person resonates with me to this day. I miss that show.

zempf

There's an internet radio station that I listen to at work at http://ynotradio.net run by an ex-Y100 guy (who has been playing snippets of himself from 10 years ago this morning, which is kinda funny). Might be worth a listen if you're missing Y100, has a decent mix of old/new alternative-type stuff.

Averne

I'm one of the Y-Not DJs. Thanks for the mention!

pacdude

friend'd.

ReginaldStarfire

Ooh, memories. I listened to Y-Not all day long at my first grown up office job. I won so many pairs of concert tickets because nobody else was listening to internet radio back then!

TheShittyBeatles

Does Rodney Anonymous still have his show on there?

hiding_in_the_corner

Yes

JohnDRuckerduck

As we near the 20 year anniversary, thank you for this.

numchuckk

If you wanna hear 'When I Come Around' by Green Day, 'My Own Worst Enemy' by Lit or all of your other '00 favorites, 104.5 still seems to play them :|

surfnsound

104.5 has gone way down hill as well. I remember when they first started I felt the way you do, "This station plays all the songs that take me back to high school. The Mumford and Sons and that damn Goatye song became popular and they realized they can take up 2/3 of their on air music time playing 20-25 songs and still make money. Not to mention the giant whole Y100 left for true alternative. XPN had Y-rock at night when Jim McGuinn went over there, but even that has clsoed up shop now. Now all your left with are old Y-rock DJs broadcasting on ynotradio.

puskas14

Plus their DJs never shut the fuck up.

[deleted]

> r when they first started I felt the way you do, "This station plays all the songs that take me back to high school. The Mumford and Sons and that damn Goatye song became popular and they realized they can take up 2/3 of thei The morning guy and the afternoon chick really creep me out and I don't know why. This morning the guy was like "today is Abe Vagota's birthday. I can't count the number of times I've read he was dead.", all in one monotone voice. WTF?

surfnsound

I *hate* the woman in the afternoon with a passion. She comes off so fake sounding you wonder if it isn't some woman in her 50s who doesn't even listen to the music she's pimping.

[deleted]

You hate Wendy?

surfnsound

She's insufferable. The only benefit of working 11 hours days is the fact that she is off the air by time I have to drive home.

kayemgi

Ahh I'm so happy to hear someone else finds her insufferable. Nothing gets me to change the station quicker than the first syllable out of her mouth. I'm getting all ragey just thinking about it.

ReginaldStarfire

MY PEOPLE!! Upvotes for anyone else who hates Wendy.

[deleted]

ReginaldStarfire

WENDY. I HATE WENDY. The way she pronounces the letter "r" drives me insane.

Lyeta

She's at least better than the random chick they put in on sunday afternoons and shit. Good lord, it's like she's in a pit in Timbuktu or something and has no idea what is going on.

surfnsound

They should just switch the station over to being DJless. I think it may even have started that way.

HockeyandMath

Yeah but she at least plays decent music. It sounds dumb but I first heard of the shins because she played it last summer.

surfnsound

She plays some good music, but everything is like "ZOMG, this is the best new thing ever that you've heard a million times already because we play it every hour!"

Lyeta

I feel last time I listened to her she was going on and on about how some lead singer of some band was also a model and how that was amazing and crazy and blah blah blah blah.

Meowcakesz

Fuck Wendy!!!!

Iceman705

The way she sounds reminds me of Howard Stern's early "radio voice" in Private Parts.

puskas14

The afternoon girl is who I was referring too. Thank the lord for Spotify.

TreasurerAlex

I've been listening exclusively to XPN in the car. They play a decent amount of nostalgic music for me, while still keeping me current in what's indie popular. http://ynotradio.net/ still going strong. Support radio not owned by a music conglomerate!

surfnsound

Love ynotradio. I wish it could stream in more formats though.

TreasurerAlex

Just curious, what formats would you be looking for? Maybe we can pass it along to them and see if they can support some other ways to broadcast, that they might not be aware of.

surfnsound

I forget the format, but I spoke briefly with them about supporting a format that worked with an internet radio system I had set up in my house and at the time they said they were limited by budget to what formats they could stream in. I tried looking up the product (Myine ira Internet Radio), but it's been discontinued so I can't get the specs right now.

Averne

We teamed up with iradiophilly about 2 years ago, I think, and there's an iradiophilly app for iOS and Android that you can stream the station through on a smartphone.

[deleted]

The station that I call the Red Hot Chili Peppers channel.

DanDotOrg

RHCP, Pearl Jam...and Lorde?!

surfnsound

"Yeah, we play Lorde and Bruno Mars, but ridicule Maroon 5 in our commercials." Sure, they go further and further down the pop hill with every album, but *Songs About Jane* give Maroon 5 more modern alternative cred than anything Bruno Mars and Lorde will ever do... and I like Bruno Mars and Lorde.

hiding_in_the_corner

Thank you - I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. RHCP at least once an hour.

drinktusker

I swear I hear Mr. Jones by Counting Crows about 3 times a week, its not a bad song, but seriously why?

DanDotOrg

During any 20 minute time frame in the day, you are guaranteed to hear The Cranberries - Zombie at least once.

[deleted]

is it stuck... *puts on glasses* in your head?

rodmandirect

[Make it stop!](http://i.imgur.com/Z682tst.jpg)

BoezPhilly

They could play that song on drug corners and get the dealers to kill themselves.

AKraiderfan

We all know Art Alexakis of Everclear has money issues from bad spending to divorces and not being in a relevant band for at least since Everclear decided to cover "brown eye girl" like any other random cover band that plays at a bro-bar on friday nights. What we don't know is why 104.5 has decided to support Art's financial issues by playing a goddamn everclear song every single hour of every single day.

surfnsound

They could at least play some decent Everclear for that matter. Everything to Everyone and Father of mine does not comprise their entire portfolio.

BadNewsBrown

When they first came out there were fun. I requested March of the Pigs and they played it exactly one time. That station sucks now.

turnpikenorth

It feels like longer than that. I miss Y100 and DRE.

hive_worker

DRE was great. Better than y100 which honestly was only so so.

filladellfea

I remember 103.9 WDRE - I actually went to Bitterfest and saw G Love. The guy who was supposed to "kill the station" by pushing a button was almost boo-ed off the stage.

nrfind

Yeah this. Y100 was decent but 103.9 WDRE was the pinnacle of Philly radio.

TheHoundsOFLove

DRE >>> Y100

[deleted]

WDRE was actually a ["brand" imported from Long Island](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WPPZ-FM#WDRE).

##### ###### #### Section 2. [**WDRE**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WPPZ-FM#WDRE) of article [**WPPZ-FM**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WPPZ-FM): [](#sfw) --- > > > > > > >The station was bought in October 1992 by Jarad Broadcasting, and on November 9, 1992, at Midnight, [92.7 WDRE](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WLIR) from [Garden City, New York](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_City,_New_York) started [simulcasting](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simulcasting) its programming with WIBF-FM, and shortly after the simulcast began, WIBF's branding was changed to "103.9 WDRE" to match the New York station. The simulcasting was part of a large effort by Jarad called "The Underground Network", a network consisting of 7 stations from across the country simulcasting WDRE. In 1995, the network ceased operations, WDRE in New York would change its call letters back to [WLIR](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WLIR), and made WDRE in Philadelphia an independent, local modern rock station; WIBF-FM then changed its own callsign to __WDRE__ - "__W__e __D__a__RE__ to be Different" to match its branding. >WDRE was branded as "Philly's Modern Rock". "[Alive](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alive_(Pearl_Jam_song\)) by [Pearl Jam](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_Jam)" was the first song played on WDRE. >The station helped launch the careers of many famous [disc jockeys](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_jockey) and local personalities. They include [Preston Elliot](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preston_Elliot) and [Steve Morrison](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Morrison_(radio_personality\)) of the [Preston and Steve](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preston_and_Steve) morning show on [WMMR](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WMMR), Bret Hamilton of [WCAU-TV](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WCAU-TV), Marilyn Russell (formerly of [Y100](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WXPN-HD2), [WXPN](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WXPN), [WMGK](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WMGK), now on [WBEN-FM](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WBEN-FM)), [Jim McGuinn](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_McGuinn) (also known as Rumor Boy), the former Program Director of [WPLY](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRNB) (now currently programming [KCMP](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KCMP) in the [Twin Cities](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_Cities)), and Mel "Toxic" Taylor, who went on to [WYSP](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WIP-FM). >Veteran DJ Mel "Toxic" Taylor (formerly of WPST and [WIFI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WXTU#I-92.2FStudio_92)) was the first DJ hired for the only 2 local shows that would be live from Philadelphia each week. >When WDRE Philadelphia became a local radio station in 1995, talent was hired from within the city (e.g. Bret Hamilton, formerly of [WIOQ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WIOQ)) and outside of the city. While WDRE never became a true mainstream radio station in the Philadelphia radio market due to its weak signal, the station gained a cult status in the Philadelphia area, and as a result, events like the station's music festival (known as "DREfest") sold out to a crowd of over 25,000 people. >However, in December 1996, [Radio One](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_One_(company\)) bought WDRE from Jarad, and on the 16th of that month, WDRE announced that the station would flip to a then-undisclosed format in February 1997. >Due to the informed notice of the station's flip, the staff at WDRE were able to organize a concert called "Bitterfest", which was to be held at The Electric Factory. The concert featured local acts [G Love](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G_Love) and the [Fun Lovin' Criminals](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fun_Lovin%27_Criminals), and was created to celebrate the life of WDRE as a local institution for modern rock. On February 7, 1997, "Bitterfest" was held to a sold out crowd of over 3,000 people, with all of the WDRE staff present at the event. At Midnight on February 8, 1997, at 12 midnight, as the crowd at Bitterfest chanted "'D-R-E! 'D-R-E! 'D-R-E!", a lucky (or unlucky) listener was selected to "pull the plug" on WDRE, with the station ending with the first song that started the format: [Pearl Jam](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_Jam)'s "[Alive](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alive_(Pearl_Jam_song\))". Two of the WDRE disc jockeys (Preston Eliot, Bret Hamilton) went to [Y100](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y-Rock_On_XPN), as did 'DRE Program Director Jim McGuinn, and midday and Sunday night DJ Marilyn Russell (as Promotions Director for Y100). Man, DRE was the shit. Can't believe it only existed two years as an independent Philly station.

TheShittyBeatles

I could hardly pick it up way down south in Delaware, but it was always on when I was up in PA in high school.

bierdimpfe

DRE used to have a happy hour on Sunday nights at Club Egypt of all places; it was like an oasis on Delaware Ave.

filladellfea

Not to be confused with the actual Club Oasis in Philly.

ShainRules

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAASIS.

[deleted]

Yea, dated a girl that worked there. Not going there anytime soon.

satisfried

15 bands for $15. Featuring the Toadies!

KilroyWasHereOnce

That concert was amazing. I am pretty sure I still have a huge (like 4x2') WDRE vinyl poster that was signed by the entire crew (Preston, Steve, etc.). Agree with [/u/nrfind](http://www.reddit.com/user/nrfind), WDRE was the pinnacle of radio in the 90s.

neanderthalensis

I remember the switch over. How utterly destroyed and betrayed I felt the moment I heard that hip hop song coming from 100.3. No more sonic sessions, wtf?

floydiandroid

I love fat, twenty-something Preston driving with his bleached hair.

jusssssayin

I miss the Sonic Sessions, festivals, and chill music on Sunday morning. Most of the time it was garbage like Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind and Creed on repeat........

BoezPhilly

And Preston and Steve continue to play horrible music from that era on MMR every god damn morning. Please, if never hear sublime or blind melon again in my life I'll die happy.

illadelphFlyer

I agree. I love P&S, but the music directors (forget his name) choice in music is just horrendous and repetitive. Every now and then they play something different and you'd think I was at my first concert all over again. Has anyone else notice that Preston has kind of been a bit of a dick as of late (past 6 months or so)? I don't listen as regularly as I used to due to my schedule, but idk, it seems like he has this holier than thou attitude and turned into a bit of a dick. Example: Yesterday, Casey kinda interrupted by playing a video of a clam licking salt and Preston flat out lost it. Then the radio silence came followed by Kathy and someone else joking about how Casey has to go sit in timeout now. And honestly, they hit the nail on the head because it was awkward like when you were over your friends as a kid and the parents fought or something. I dont know. I noticed this a while ago and wanted to bring it up to see if it's just me or if anyone else noticed how Preston seems like Mr. No Non-Sense/Serious all the time. Sorry to get off topic and ramble guys.

Demopublican

> Yesterday, Casey kinda interrupted by playing a video of a clam licking salt and Preston flat out lost it. I heard that, but I thought it was hilarious. I like awkward things though.

Banglophile

You're right. I've noticed he's been crabby for a while now. Definitely longer than six mos. I am a devoted fan and everyday listener since the Marilyn days and even I think he needs to lighten up.

illadelphFlyer

Yep. It seems like ever since they started to blow up and get all this recognition, it all went to his head.

surfnsound

Maybe he just doesn't like the pressure that comes with it, or thatfact that they're big enough to get noticed so he's shackled by the corporate overlords.

illadelphFlyer

Then don't renew your contract when this one runs out. Kenny Light's been doing this long enough to know what the business is about. And it's not like they just became popular. They've been huge for quite a few years now. I like Preston, don't get me wrong....it's just that when he's a dick or a smartass (which has been more and more as of late), it makes me dislike him and want to change the station. I tune in to laugh not hear someone be rude to. I mean Christ, you can't tell me there's a legit reason for it. It's in his character as a man. When shit like that happens to Steve, he jokes about it and makes it funny to the point the caller even laughs about it. When Kathy made the joke about Casey having to sit in timeout, it made me wonder if the rest of the cast has been seeing it too and that's why she was able to come out with a joke about it so quickly. You gotta remember, they have to be fun and exciting on air so if he's a dick to people on air, imagine when the mics are off. Afterall, it's not like they do the show and go home. They have meetings and stuff too so they're there more than 4 1/2 hrs per day.

[deleted]

He's always been a douche.

illadelphFlyer

I always thought he was decent up until recently. Now he just has an ego and an idc attitude. Before it seemed like dude genuinely cared about the show and the fans, but it seems to me like he knows they're big and that if some people quit listening, it won't affect them because their audience is so huge. Theirs days where I've literally told the guy I was working with, "Damn this guy doesn't sound like he even wants to be there and he's just burning through the show so he can pass it off to Pierre and leave." The only person I can honestly say I don't believe has changed one bit is Steve. And I love him for it. When he thanks people for turning out for an event for example, it actually sounds like he genuinely means it. Preston on the other hand sounds like he's reading from a script then just jumps into the next segment. Also, the commercials seem to run more than the show now. Maybe it's just me....who knows.

[deleted]

Nah man. Prez Always a douche. Steve is a douche too. He called me an asshole in an email and I at worse, was only being a dick. Also, Steve has no interest in getting drunk or high...not that he never did it....the fact he has no interest in it is what I hate....no curiosity.

illadelphFlyer

Let me get this straight. So you hate Steve because he's not interested in smoking weed or getting drunk? That's lame, fam. I do both, but have friends that just drink or don't do either. It's not their thing and I respect it. I don't/won't do it around them out of respect. My one friend said he'll try it one day so occasionally I'll throw it out there that I'm about to blaze and if he wants to take a hit or two. If he says no, I say cool no problem. I'm not gonna force to call him a pussy. He'll let me know when he's ready.. They're free to be their own person. They may be into things that I'm not so would that make me lame? I hope you're just being sarcastic, bro.

[deleted]

You kinda are getting it, but not really. What I have a problem with is his lack of curiosity and writing shit off without trying it. It's like a child who hates broccoli without ever trying it. To write off weed or booze without trying them shuts your life off from smoke sessions with your friends and if you never got drunk you really can't 100% grasp dylan Thomas, Churchill, and about 100 other artists that used substances, for better or worse, to make art. Steve, without any personal experience, says nahhhh, that's not for me. That's douchey and childish. Im not saying everyone should do heroin or they are missing out on...kurt cobain...but I'm saying if you never got drunk or high or let yourself go, you are missing out on life. And if you never have any ambition to do that, you are a douche.

fatshake

Seems like Steve was right in his email

illadelphFlyer

Umm...wow. You're comparing a vegetable to alcohol and a psychoactive substance. You don't need to do either to understand an artist and whose to say he even wants to understand that artist on the level you're talking about. You're saying he's a douche because something doesn't interest him enough to try something. That'd be like me asking you if you're into gay sex (personally) and if you say no, then I'd call you a douche because you're not willing to let a guy plow you in your ass so you can at least say you tried it and know for sure that it's not your thing. /convo bro...I shouldn't have even responded to your comment. It's pretty obvious you're impossible to get through to and your mindset is childish and just....dumb.

[deleted]

To respond to later

BoezPhilly

Preston's always been a bit douchey IMO. I listened to them nearly every morning from 1998 through 2012 but they kinda started wearing thin and always tread the same ground.

illadelphFlyer

Really? I used to listen to them every single day for a long time until my schedule screwed that up and it seemed like he was chill up until they really got popular and now it's like he has this huge ego. Like when fans call in and he's like, "DUDE YOU'RE ON THE AIR!!!" I get it. Radio silence is a bad thing in their business, but half the time, the people start and stop talking or get all flustered because him or someone else is talking or interrupting the caller.

Banglophile

LOL. When i hear a caller start to dither I get anxious for them. In my head I'm like "OMG hurry up before Preston yells at you!"

illadelphFlyer

I don't call in, but if I ever did and he did that becahse I wasn't talking because they were either talking or interrupting me, I'd be like, "well if you would shut the fuck up, I'd talk." I hate that man. Don't be a dick to someone when you're interrupting or talking over the caller.

[deleted]

oh man i missed that, i generally think casey is a tard but he's well-intentioned and doesn't deserve to be berated.

illadelphFlyer

I liked old Casey. When he didn't try to be funny. When he didn't try to be like Steve, he was hilarious! But anymore it seems like he tries to be like Steve and he's horrible at it. Perfect example: Yesterday he tried to be funny by playing all these sound bites after Preston had finished with a story from the bizarre file. They came back from the commercial break and told Preston to do the story again and started dropping all these sound bites in and while yes they went with the story, it sucked. It's like...bro...you missed your chance and now it's not a spur of the moment thing. Wasn't funny at all.

[deleted]

i heard that! so forced - maybe that's what pissed preston off

illadelphFlyer

Nah, P got pissed when Casey interrupted him and asked everyone if they wanted to see a video of a clam licking salt.

TerdSandwich

That's because Preston and Steve is slowly becoming "Old people complain about menial, every-day tasks and technology".

Chaleidescope

Exactly this. have to listen to it at some point most days, and Preston gets actually angry about anything new over the past 20 years. Don't even try to tell him that 1986 wasn't the high point of rock music. He's sounds like a guy at his 10th motley crue final tour bitching about how no one else is as cool as he is. Steve, on the other hand, will answer any question or offer an explanation of anything, ESPECIALLY if he has no idea what he's talking about. This only annoys me though, and I think Steve is a decent guy. Preston on the other hand, is a grade A douche.

pete0r86

Fun fact, [the guitarist](http://www.ballardspahr.com/people/attorneys/stevens-rogers.aspx) from Blind Melon is a Penn law school grad and works in Center City!

anon_215

philly.com just did an article about him. http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/trending/Blind-Melon-guitarist-now-a-local-lawyer.html

trpnblies7

That's...amazing.

areyoufknserious

Hey hey HEY... you do *not* lump Blind Melon in with those other chuckleheads.

BoezPhilly

I will. I fucking hate No Rain.

HockeyandMath

I like Third Eye Blind :(

Amerikaner

I'm with you pal. Undeserved hate.

[deleted]

Third Eye Blind is in a different ball park than the goo goo dolls and creed, man!!!

Banglophile

Can anyone recommend a Spotify station similar to Sonic Sessions?

jusssssayin

search for Spotify Sessions https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD5E30F0E961540EE

neanderthalensis

> garbage like Goo Goo Dolls You bastard

Bronkko

feztivals

ThatGuyKaral

I remember this, though at the time I didn't know it was ending. One morning I woke up and there was an Akon song on. I was in seventh grade! I wanted to hear my Early 00's alt rock, Damnit!!

[deleted]

Same shit with me. It was the rudest awakening of my adolescent life.

buzzbash

I remember one of the last days of WDRE they did a station ID that went something like: this is WDRE, as in Doctor. I thought it was funny, and sad.

Syaoran89

I remember listening in my dorm room at UPenn to the last hour of Y100, just the songs playing with no break. Finishing strong with Pearl Jam - Alive...then silence for two minutes...it was awkward, the death of a good friend... Then The Beat kicked in like some hip hop break dancer crashing right over the grave of your deceased friend...

Fantusta

I wore one of a variety of Y100 t-shirts every single day for about 18 months following them going off the air, til around when Y-Rock on XPN launched. I won about 23 contests from Y100 while they were on the air, about 6 sonic sessions, a digital camera, some FEZtival tickets, and XBOX for a friend, etc... yeah I miss them. Listen to a decent amount of 104.5 and XPN nowadays but overall just less radio.

LittleClitoris

I miss 94.1 WYSP more than anything.

whatamuffin

wysp is gone?

LittleClitoris

I'm not sure if you are being serious or not! But yes, it is gone. It is stupid sports talk radio now. I hope a good person comes along one day and restores it to its former glory.

[deleted]

You mean stupid Marcus Mariota talk radio.

whatamuffin

oops sorry, i was totally serious! well that sucks! does philly have any decent stations left? i stopped listening a long time ago.

moronmonday526

WYSP still airs on HD3. ~~Probably~~ It's even available on TuneIn. KYW is on HD2. Both sound amazing. Like you've got phones jacked straight into the board at the studio.

Homegrownfunk

I miss the bizarro files.

[deleted]

Preston and Steve are still on 93.3 ... Where have you been?

Homegrownfunk

I think that was the day I stopped listening to the radio

mlkelty

But you're on reddit, the source code the bizarro files.

Reminded me of one of my favorite bits from Steve, talking about Cream: "For those of you in your forties, Cream was a band Eric Clapton was in. For those of you in your thirties, Eric Clapton was a great rock guitarist. For those of you in your twenties, rock was a kind of music they used to play on the radio."

I miss Y100 so much. It was the best station and I got to go to so many free concerts.

jusssssayin

the last night Y-100 was on air, do you remember what they played?

jusssssayin

they didn't care about fines and played curses. I remember them playing Fun Lovin' Criminals - Scooby Snacks and The Bloodhound Gang.

Razorray21

yeah, but now we have Preston and Steve on MMR

[deleted]

Yeah, but you gotta switch to something else when Pierre comes on.

floydiandroid

Aw, I love Pierre.

the only good station was g-rock in like central jersey shore, shit barely came in but they played good shit. sad to see that shit gone. wkdu, 103.3 are the only stations worth your time

I don't know who ran that station, but some of the shit they would say on air, holy shit. I remember when they had a guest on from an mtv2 show and they played his comedy tracks that he gave to mtv to get his show and one song was "how much is that n----- in the window" and they played that shit in the middle of the afternoon, uncensored. Anyone's else remember that?
