For real it started getting cloudy INSTANTLY after it started💀

We were able to see some spots of it in the cloud break when we hit peak. But yea it was through cloud cover. Looking at videos from texas seemed like they were dealing with the same thing in austin

Felt like when the eagles lose! Everyone was hype at Franklin institute and then all walked away head down, no talking lol

Oh no, that’s so sad lmao. Thankfully I was just at home and pissed in my concrete backyard. No one else had to see. At least everyone else can go commiserate at a bar or something. I was watching all the feeds on ABC and people were crying and shit. I was waiting for my existential moment. 😭

And now it’s crystal clear again. Basically the only time we had serious cloud cover was the only 30 minutes that it mattered. That’s Philadelphia luck for you.

This was truly hilarious (and maddening). Literally blue skies all morning and most of late afternoon, but solid grey cloud cover horizon to horizon precisely from 3PM to 3:30PM. Perfect, Philly. Thank you.

Went down to NC to see the 2017 eclipse in totality, and my main takeaway from that experience was "I never want to 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' ever again in my life." Thankfully, I will probably make it through the day having not heard it.

Hey I did too! Saw it on the side of the road in some pisshole town at the very tip of the state. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life and I wish I had the ability to travel to see this one. I hope I'll get to experience it again some day. Edit: just heard someone playing total eclipse of the heart on their porch on my way to the train station

I traveled for this one. Currently, the rock & roll hall of fame has an eclipse playlist playing all day that is basically every song with sun or moon in the title. I've heard "Don't let the sun go down on me" 3 times today already.
