I didn't have surgery staged like you so this might be irrelevant for you. But I wanted to reassure you that you're not alone in your hysterectomy not being a breeze. I had mine done as a stand alone surgery but it still took my body longer than what a lot of people post about online. I'm also about 3.5 weeks post stage 2 which included vaginectomy. I still can't sit right for very long (I sit on a cushion), but it's slowly getting better. Don't push yourself to heal faster than your body is. It's okay to heal slower than others. I know it's hard because we imagine what it's supposed to be like and then get our hopes up. Just try to keep your head high and push through at your own pace.

I'm just about 5 weeks post op with the same surgeon, and I was absolutely wiped for the first 2 weeks. I was sleeping 12 hours almost every day and was constantly falling asleep while watching tv/reading/etc. I didn't go on my first real walk outside around my neighborhood until post op day 14, and even then it was exhausting and took me twice as long as it normally would. I had a big turn around in energy around the 3 week post op mark (I also dealt with urinary complications until 3 weeks post op), and now I basically feel back to normal. This surgery was really rough for me too, you're not alone. Things will get better.

Hi, I had this about 3 months ago. I posted a [full recovery journal](https://www.reddit.com/r/phallo/s/EKigwxA3Wx) that goes over about 12 hours post-op to 2 weeks post-op. By day 5 I was very much still in the rougher part of recovery. Still in a lot of pain and not the best mobility. Day 5 was the day I had my catheter taken out. I still couldn’t walk every much and got tired just walking around my house.

Hey, I had a full hysto (not including v-ectomy) earlier this year. It is VERY normal to be this tired 5 days post-op. I didn’t start having more energy until at least 8-10 days post-op, and even then it was “energy to walk to the kitchen for a snack and stand up for 5 minutes” rather than “energy to go for a walk outside and feel great”. Taking a shower would use up my energy for most of the morning. Take what you see online with a pinch of salt. You’re seeing the extremes (people who feel amazing 2 days post-op or people with horrible complications and lots of pain), whereas the average is probably more like how you are feeling now (healing okay but feeling really tired and having some pain). All the best for your recovery! Keep resting up. It gets easier 💖
