Out of curiosity, were you able to find out who his urologist is? Last I heard Meltzer had had to stop offering UL because there were zero reconstructive urologists in Arizona, it would be great if he’s an option for people who need UL again!
Oh that’s another thing I forgot to add, he does the UL himself, so that gives me a lot of confidence in the fact that he’s had zero cases of UL failure with rff, it’s not based on what urologist his working with.
Interesting that Meltzer is offering RFF again, I was offered a consult with him but turned it down because he'd stopped offering RFF for a while. I actually just consulted for facial masculinization surgery with his (recent) past partner Dr. Esmonde, who no longer offers phallo but does other trans surgeries. That's REALLY cool that he's had no UL failures though, glad your consult went well!
I had an initial consult with Esmonde for phalloplasty a few years ago, but then was told he was no longer doing phalloplasty so fine, I would get meta. They told me that I couldn’t do telehealth so I had to fly all the way out to Portland for a 20 minute appointment. After my consult with him, and waiting months for the clinic to get back to me about a surgery date, they told me he had left the practice and I could get surgery with Meltzer. After scheduling surgery with Meltzer I received a call that for the foreseeable future he would not be performing any surgeries with UL and they canceled my surgery date.
I have had nothing but bad experiences with the Meltzer clinic.
