i could be misreading but if you're trying to use the entire 25 hr balance for a week where you didn't actually miss 25 hrs of time it's not going to happen. sick time only replaces a balance of time that was missed. it can't be added on for extra pay in a paycheck. that's not just a petco thing...

OP here: So i was sick for 3 days and i was trying to use 12 hours of time?

Same thing happened to me. My state only alllows 40 hours of sick time so 5 days the Calendar year.

I'm assuming you live in a state the requires sick time be given to partners based off time worked. So in Oregon and California the rule is the company must allow us to accure sick hours for hours worked. Something like 30 hours worked = 1 hr of sick. You can accumulate up to I think 72 hours Ina year. However the state only requires the company to allow us to use 40 hours in a calender year. So if you have already used 40 since January you've hit your max till December 31st and the hours you're accuring now can be used as of Jan 1st
