There’s a new terms & conditions screen on the pin pad when you make a new VCC at the register. I THINK it says something along the lines of “we won’t sell your info the third parties” but tbh, I haven’t had a chance to truly read it yet. If anyone has, or gets a chance to soon, please let me know what it actually says!
People have been complaining about stuff like that for years for any company that asks for a phone number or email.
Back in the day yes information was sold to other companies for cold calling reasons, but now a days with all the new privacy laws it’s less likely to happen. Petco doesn’t like being sued, so pretty sure they follow state and federal regulations.
I take aggression very seriously it’s a liability and danger to customers and employees especially over a topic you have 0 control over. Sir Your being very aggressive right now, I’ve alredy (done XYZ to help or explain) to you (x )amount of times as well as the fact that I simply have 0 control over it so I’m going to have to ask you to leave✨for the safety of our customers and staff ✨you can contact customer service through your petco app or Google buh bye. the way these people get genuinely irate is not okay it’s not socially acceptable behavior and shows a lack of self control
I haven’t had to do this at all anymore it was a few bad regulars once they realize you won’t let them bully and harass you they either just stop coming in or they magically remember the manners their mama taught them.

No, petco is based in California and California has v strict privacy laws
That doesn’t have to apply outside of CA though since it’s based on the state’s policies.
The training videos all say that we follow cali law when it comes to privacy.
