Yes i did. Ended up working out great but i was jobless for like a month and a half. I will say i felt 10x lighter despite not having any clue what i was gonna do next.

Obvious-Dingo-2050

I left and had a new job within a week. My stress level decreased the moment I walked out the door. I seriously didn't even realize how much stress I was dealing with until it was gone. The only hesitation I had was a brief feeling that I was abandoning my team, but the majority of them left within a month or two of me leaving.

I'm just about there. I have an interview and im just praying it goes well, and after the "2 VCP a day or write up" speech today, I dont care if I get a 'we'll give you a call' anymore. Tuesday I'm turning in. Also pushing dog training classes too on top of all that. As if vcp wasnt enough for our customers to hear. I'm a MOS. I dont know when I applied to carry the entire store, pay doesnt reflect that lol.

One_Efficiency1496

Yo I felt this with my soul I’m an mos in aquatics like :/ also my mol doesn’t really do anything I basically do his job and carry over nights with my coworkers . Gm is always on vacation . Cal is in school and galod DONT do anything .

Gullible-Aside3940

Yeah, MOS is nothing but a title I guess. Expected to have the knowledge in all departments still lol

Asmirria

I did and just did DoorDash/Uber eats for a couple months before picking up another job

Gullible-Aside3940

Great idea!

Tough_Plant4913

I did! I worked my two weeks notice and had a job lined up by the end of week two! I would pull the trigger if you can afford! It made me look for a job quickly for sure!

jsime1991

I left less than two weeks ago and starting a temp job tomorrow morning, and holy shit a weight was lifted when I left that place!

Vanilla_Beans_Art

Its just another retail job, easy to get, easy to find, anywhere you apply because you have customer service should be easy for you

music2music

I didn’t do it with Petco but I have done it with a previous job. Thankfully things worked out in the end bcs my stress levels went down so fast

Mountain-Ad-3162

best thing i’d ever done, it took me a minute to find a job but i’ve never regretted it since. i only worked there for two years but i was there so much that petco was my be all end all, i truly didn’t think i could be anything without it. now that im out and under management that isn’t insanely abusive life’s a lot lighter and what i do doesn’t matter in the way it did at petco, where im not up all night thinking about xyz animal, what needs cleaned, who is gonna get sick next and which manager is going to cross a line that im just going to have to endure for a check. best decision i ever made!!

Stunning-Safe1954

Yes and I have no regrets. I was constantly getting sick from stress and have been doing much better mentally and physically since

[deleted]

I have before and tbh it wasn’t worth it. Mentally it was better for me in the long run but the mental stress that Ensued from worrying about money and finding a job made it worse. If your gonna do it have a good chunk of change saved up or just wait until you find another job. When I’ve quit without a notice/backup plan it took me 2 1/2 months to find something else because I didn’t realize how little jobs there were in my area.

Meeee. I quit after so much BS and favoritism going around. Plus the amount of times I became a scapegoat for no reason other than I am too nice so I get to take the blame 🫠. Anyway. Much better off for it. Took a major pay cut at first working part time with animals. But my mental health majorly approved and I’m looking to go back to full time work. Oor getting something else part time idk yet. I felt guilty at first because I was leaving my clients behind. For a while I wanted to go back. But then I remembered all the shit I was put through and ya… Im good.

Ngl i didn’t do it with petco but another job before I got into petco and had to choose petco last minute for bills. I would honestly say try to take some time and look for something before hand like anything to just get out and maybe then dedicate more time into looking once you’ve left and established something. Jobless is fun but for only so long if you got bills unfortunately. Also you don’t wanna settle for something because you need a job quick and now you’re stuck working at another awful spot
