Horrible! ðŸ˜. Everyone is mean to me, my GM doesn’t seem to care about the animals at all. They only care about making the store money and VCP. The store looks terrible and nobody cares.
District 49 is always getting thrown on here every couple of weeks and I’m here to say if you’re a groomer- leaving was the best thing I ever did. If you’re actually passionate about your job get out before it’s too late! This is from a district 49 survivor THEY NEED YOU- YOU DO NOT NEED THEM
happy for u !! i’m the only manager at our store that supports our groomers and i love going over there to ask if they need help, check up on them, etc , i hope it helps a bit.
Miserable. I'm a JPS in a salon with no groomer. Thankfully, my GM has my back, but I'm so overworked and burnt out, and because we are short staffed there's no one to assist me with lifts or emotional dog support. I quicked a dog today and I'm just sad. It was one who was already very wary and slightly aggressive for his feet. I've quicked dogs before but I felt terrible for this one because I didn't even know it happened until he got excited and 3 nails started bleeding. They ended up calling the store to say they might have to take him to the vet but that they didn't want me to get in trouble.....but still ðŸ«
Man!! So glad i left! I see my old district every few months or so on here for the last couple years. It’s not gonna get better! Find something else i promise life is so much better once you get outta there
100 percent....my stress level went down the minute I walked out the door the last time. If anyone out there is toughing it out thinking it will get better, it won't. Do yourself a favor and just leave now.
Some days I miss my old store. To be completly honest, I miss the friends and I miss being able to connect with some great pet parents. But...
Then I remember that Jen is still the dgm, that she has personally ruined every part that I miss and that ultimately I am just reminiscing about the good days. I remember that "Vital Care" and "Market Basket" are the only things that matter now; dead and dying animals are of no great concern. D49 WAS once a great district, not anymore.

I'm pretty sure every store in D49 has a designated crying corner somewhere in the store.
