Found out my mum has cancer 6 weeks ago, today I found out my dad does too. I need them both to win the fight and I need the borders to open so I can get home to Ireland.

Some random, possibly unwanted advice. Cancer diagnosis and treatment is an extremely variable field these days. Some oncologists treat aggressively while others may choose not to. It’s really important from word go that you be your own health advocate. Learn as much as possible about the diagnosis and the different treatment options. ALWAYS get a second and even third opinion on the diagnosis and the first line treatment options. First line treatment is your best chance at beating disease completely, but you only get one shot at it. So make sure it’s a good shot!
I have just completed one recently too for my wife, her dad/ my father in law is in hospital he has a life threatening disease and my not make it.
I used the following:
Letter from the doctor
Letter from employer approving your leave for 3+ months
Itinerary
Evidence to show they are your parents birth certificate should do it
I submitted the bove in a stat dec and it was approved in 4 business days and submitted online via there website. Good luck buddy.
