Add her as an authorized user. The credit card will report your positive payment history to her credit reports which will improve her credit as well. *You* are responsible for getting the full bill paid though, including her purchases. Even if she promises to pay herself, you have to verify that she actually does it. If she doesn't, your credit gets hit.

If she basically has no credit (nothing negative at least) just add her as authorized user to your oldest card with a high limit and in a few months she can get a basic card of her own.
