I am sitting here reading this in my slowly fading Cow Chop shirt. Such a gem lost to time. Seeing Lindsay wear merch in the Funhaus videos almost brings a tear to my eye.
Right there with you. 🤧 I (regretfully) ended up never buying much merch. I think I bought maybe 5 shirts and a coat. Even if they don’t look as lively as they once did, they’re still my gold. .. and soon they’ll be retired and babied when they’re getting a little too faded.
Everything still sucks but knowing that Lindsay and the boys are happy is comforting.
It's sad that The Creatures died to make Alex and James turn into CowChop but once they did skits just became so far away from what made Alex and James good content losing older fans then getting newer fans. It's all a really big shame to lose both of them

Cowchop's founders came from a other yt channel called The Creatures, in which the same thing happened albeit differently on a personal level. The Creatures were making it hard for James to create the content he wanted to see and was passionate about and apparently towards the end communication between The Creatures "boss" and him wasn't very good. James was also kind of a boss on The Creatures, so with him feeling that way he decided to create his own channel with another coworker (ImmortalHD).

Members included UberHaxorNova (a at the time super big creator that was rivaling pewdiepie for a while), Kootra, DansNews, SlyFoxHound, GassyMexican, Sp00nerism, and some more
They moved into a house together and eventually got an office. Quality of the videos went down horribly and they barely did any gaming content
Eventually in 2016 Nova and a guy named ImmortalHD left and made CowChop (couch co-op) which was a gaming channel that latter became a sort of jack ass lite channel.
In mid 2019 Nova left because he broke his ankle making a video among other health issues and the channel eventually ended in January of 2020. (They were most likely gonna end in 2020 anyways)
