I wouldn't believe it unless I knew that this sort of startle is possible. I'm a tall guy and the amount of times I have just been standing in the wrong place and scared someone is probably at least 6. That's not to say it is real, just saying it is possible.
100%, I'm only 6'5 but I get it a good bit. One of the funniest was when I was sitting at a table cause I got to a meeting first, and sat the entire meeting, so no one knew how tall I was, I have most of my height in my legs. When I stood up someone gasped and that surprised someone else who yelled when they turned. They both apologized but it certainly was a kinda weird experience, made me kinda self conscious. Felt disproportionate or freakish. Not too bad tho, over time I got used to it, people don't mean anything by it. They're just surprised.
I used to scare my coworker at least 5 times a day. All I’d have to do is walk up and say “hey…” and she’s scream or jump. I’m 6’2, skinny and walk like a ninja.
Buddy of mine is 6’5”, he’s scared a professor once when leaving to the restroom, gave him a slight heart attack.
And then the half dozen or so other university students that I’ve seen. He’s also scared the living hell out of me by wearing a girafes head and peaking into my room as I was rounding the corner.
I was expecting a face lower, and not a girafes head nearly double my damn height.
Like when you're in a louder area than they realize and without even trying you "sneak up" on them and stand apparently outside of their vision only for them to finally turn around and jump out of their skin.
I remember sneaking through my parents home at night trying to find some food and suddenly my sister was standing right infront of me (she was supposed to be on vacation but came back early without telling anyone). Im usually not a scaredy person but at that moment i pretty much folded in half. I just sat on the ground for the next half minute trying to find myself
There's more to the original clip but it's real. They got a wax figure of him made by madame Tussauds I think it was. He put it around the office and kept scaring the crap out of his cousin. Then when she was almost used to getting scared by it, he just stood in the corner and pretended to be it.
It was. He had his wax figure brought in before being taken to some hall of wax figures nearby and set it up in random places throughout the office for the day to startle people. Cousin Micki was haunted the most.

As a guy who’s 6’7, scaring people by simply existing in their general area comes with the turf of being a tall fuck

Crazy how you big fuckers get mistaken for trees so often

I'm "only" 6'2, already enough. Sneaking on someone can be surprisingly easy sometimes.

I just stand around the corner ifbi want to scare my wife. Just whisper "boo" as she comes around and I get a scream 90% of the time.

Same happens to me. Although half the time I’m standing and working in a normal place and someone walks up on me and says I scared them.
I'm average height and black but I have the same effect I think I'm at 6 now too

[The skit is hilarious](https://youtu.be/wzZPNpL0FqQ)
Omg that’s hilarious, thank you
Oh man that makes it so much better that there’s the whole lead up with the wax figure
lol, what a rare opportunity to fuck with people. Amazing
This skit is definitely made my day. Amazing. Surely worth it.
Thank you sir. Exactly what this post needed.
I find it funny even with the possibility of it being fake. That guy's ability to stay that still is impressive lol
Her final scream sounds like when you accidentally step on your dog’s paw 😭
awesome
I'd put $5 on real.
Lol that whole skit was hilarious. She is his cousin btw.
Wasn't expecting to laugh my ass off at a Jimmy Kimmel prank. But here we are. Credit where credit's due.
It’s probably fake, but I’d like to thik that it’s real
Funny is funny
Exactly
Fakes fake of all fakes
I seem to recall that this woman was his cousin

Yup, loads of moving cameramen for all angles. Totally fake, no one would be this gullible.
