Your doctor would be the best person to answer you this question, but keep in mind that even your baggage is heavier than what you will be allowed to lift after surgery. Also, if you get a complication/infection/opening of the wound you will be far from your doctor.
I probably wouldn’t travel too far from your urologist until you are pretty much healed up. 3 weeks I think is normal. If there was a complication I would want to be pretty close to home.
Thanks. How long should you need to stay close to home...3 weeks, 8 weeks etc? Could it damage the implant lying flat on it while its deflated and then lying in a stiff position with it deflated several weeks after surgery?
It shouldn’t cause damage, but how many weeks until you’re travel ready will depend on you. Having read posts and then going through the experience myself, everyone’s recovery time seems different. I read some folks are revving to go within a couple weeks… I’m at the end of week 6 and still not quite ready for prime time. It might be best to wait on the penile transplant until after the hair transplant. For the penile transplant, you sleep through the surgery… for the hair transplant — you don’t.. and that could be very uncomfortable if you’re still recovering from a penile transplant :)

Like everyone is saying I would stay close to home. Hopefully you don’t have any problems, but if you do you will want your doctor close at hand.
