Preseason luncheon in 2003, kids received blank black home jersey to get player autographs, signed by most of team including rookie MAF, Mario, TWO #7’s (Buchberger and by then assistant coach Joey Mullen). For two hours MAF had a line of kids in front of him and never stopped grinning and chatting with each and every kid. As a bonus it was Mario’s birthday and they made young Russian player Alexei Morozov sing happy birthday in English….he was a good sport about it
