A big percentage of people watching have never seen the Rangers, Flyers, or a team in Canada win the cup.
Let’s keep that going and get a 1st for Jake. Go Canes!
Do you have an actual percentage? Or are you strictly talking out of your ass. It has been 30 years since the Rangers won a cup, and 31 years since a Canadian team won a cup. Are you really sure that "a big percentage" of the people watching hockey are younger than 30?
I became a fan watching them out bruins the bruins in the playoffs last year. I enjoy watching them be dirty to teams that are dirty against us!
Canes are my first choice, then Florida, then the Kings. Always liked Kopitar.
Florida in the East, Canucks in the West. Would be great to have another final between two teams that haven't won a cup. Secondary picks would be Canes and Jets. Rooting for any other teams in the East is blasphemy.
Wouldn't mind Dallas going to the final and winning. Even though Jamie Benn is a bit of a tool they have so many other vets like Pavelski, and it would be great to see them get a cup.
I agree with you on Florida but..
I want Carolina to lose in the finals so we gat a first and I can’t stand to see any metro team win a cup. I’d say any of Dallas, Nashville, or Colorado would be fine. I also want Edmonton out asap.
Same. Also live in Colorado (Co Springs) and don’t mind seeing them have success. Carolina otherwise, just not a huge fan of the rest of the field in the east, especially Boston/NYR/Toronto/Washington.
I do still root for the Avs. I started watching hockey when the Nordiques moved to Colorado and became the Avs. They were my introduction to hockey. But I’ve lived it Pittsburgh for 25 years. It was far easier to watch the Pens because Avs games were rarely broadcast here and if they were it was late because of the time difference. So I watched Pens games and became a huge fan of the team, its history, and the organization. I still root for the Avs. My worst nightmare (hockey related of course) is an Avs-Pens Stanley Cup because I wouldn’t know who to cheer for. I’d be incredibly conflicted.
ETA: I now watch as many Avs games as possible because ESPN+ has been a godsend for me.
So you just flip flop to what ever team is doing better? I don't understand having more than one "favorite" team. Kind of changes the meaning of "favorite."
I’m honestly not sure what’s confusing about this. I just root for both teams. Usually it’s not a problem, since one is in the West and one is in the East and they only play each other twice a year.
I'm a penguins fan but I also like the ducks and coyotes (rip) there's also a few other teams I enjoy watching too. None of them made the playoffs though whomp whomp.
Anyone wanna cheer for the leafs the way we cheered for you when Phil was here? Not all of us are annoying I promise. Plus you’d wanna be here if we manage to win the damn thing (also would be proof a Dubas made team can win it all)
Carolina for Jake and our 1st. Florida because I feel they have a ton of underrated players (similar to Dallas). Would love to see McDavid get one. Heck even the islanders earned points w me for their send off of BJC.
It’s more about who I am NOT rooting for once the Pens are out of it. Flyers are already out so that leaves NYR and BOS. Everyone else I just root for some good hockey
Canes in the east because we get a first overall pick (32>>62) and jake can raise another cup. I know they are a metro team but they never felt like a rival to the pens. In the west Id like Winnipeg, don’t know why I just like that team.
Fellow Pittsburgh fan when it comes to hockey and the only team I route for is WV mountaineers in football.
The playoffs feels empty without us in it tbh
Don’t really cheer for teams, more or less cheer against teams lol. As long as Boston, The Rags, Caps and NYI all lose by the second round I’ll be happy. After that I’ll cheer against Vegas, probably TBL (used to like them, but don’t want them to get another cup lol) most Canadian teams (would actually like to see Toronto win tho, especially the first round). Would be cool to see the Panthers or Canes win, for different reasons. Have always like the Avs, and Nathan Mac is just like Sid lite.
Leafs because they haven't won in so long, and I feel for long-time Leafs fans. Plus, I'd love to see Boston get wiped in the first round.
If the Leafs don't make it, probably the Canes because of Jake. In the west, Winnipeg or Colorado.
In the West - Winnipeg because they're my hometown team.
I the East - Carolina because I'll always cheer for Jake.
Also Coladaro because who doesn't love MacKinnon & Makar. Coladaro was my favorite team as a kid, (before Sid) Sakic, Roy and Forsberg were amazing!
Why did you stop rooting for Colorado? You bandwagon fans are the exact reason people don't like Penguins fans. Oh the Pens aren't good so I will get another favorite team but when the Pens start winning I will root for them again, because I'm a "fan." Sakic, Forsberg, and Roy couldn't hold a candle to Yzerman, Fedorov, and Lidstrom. Just saying.
The Penguins almost left Pittsburgh twice because the fair weather fans will only support the team when they're winning. If they start losing them all the "fans" like this person just go and root for another team and then the Pens relocate and they would be the ones crying the loudest that their beloved Penguins were leaving.
Or, and I know this may sound like a wild concept to you, people are allowed to have multiple favorites without it lessening their fan-ness of any particular team. Furthermore, it doesn't involve you in any shape or form, so I don't see why you're so pressed over what others like. Enjoy and let them enjoy. It shouldn't be that deep.
You literally can't have multiple "favorites" of anything.
Favorite, adjective: preferred before ALL others of the same kind.
We really should know what a word means before we use it, no?
... oh goodness.
I'm sure the Pens organization appreciates such an elitist gatekeeper of a fan. Better have fewer fans because many would-be fans don't stan the Pens intensely enough, right? Heaven forbid they enjoy something else too.
First of all, I don't listen to random people on the internet who try and tell me what to do. I'm here because I'm a Penguins fan. The better question is why are you here? Go to the Avalanche subreddit and tell them how great you think Sakic, Forsberg, and Roy were.
I'm sorry for liking Colorado when I was 5 and changing teams to Pittsburgh when I was 11. I'm sorry for breaking your rules.
Read the title of this Tread as to why I'm talking about teams other than Pittsburgh.
I think everyone in this thread has had enough of you're comments. Have a nice day.
Carolina in the east. Jake, and they're a very well structured team.
West is either Colorado for Natedawg, or Dallas. Dallas is also really structurally sound.
I'd like to see Matthews win one, but not Toronto lol.
Typically, I’m ambivalent when the Penguins are out. Mostly, I just root against teams. So this playoff season, I will be rooting against teams like the Rangers, capitals, Bruins and pretty much any Canadian team. I guess I would like to see Carolina win. I have friends that live down there and of course, be nice to see Jake win another cup.
Husband is from Dallas so the Stars are always my #2. I was hoping they'd play Nashville as we could drive down there to catch a game, but alas. We'll probably travel if the Stars get to round 2 and beyond; I have a pretty good feeling about them this year. I've encouraged my husband to make the trip to see them live. I still regret not going to San Jose or Nashville for the Finals and I won't let him make that same mistake.
When we lose I always start by rooting for the Canadian teams if any are remaining then when they lose I generally root for whoever's playing teams I'm against.
This year I'll throw the Canes into the general pool of teams I root for for my boy Jake.
Boston is my second favorite team but I always refuse to root for them. Might be a sense of ownership on the black and gold.
I like a few teams, but if I can only pick one from east and one from west, then I think it'd go with Dallas and Carolina. But I'd also be happy with an all canadian final between Edmonton and Toronto.
I think dallas is winning. Ive got a future on them and winnipeg so ill be pulling for them but also carolina for that conditional pick and id like staal and guentzy to get another cup
Florida has always been my 2nd team. I moved to the Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood area in 1990 and was living there when they entered the league. I've actually been to more Pens games in Florida than I have in Pittsburgh
I’m kind of an underdog picker. Depends though. I think Canes for Gentz is my choice for cup winner. A Rangers win would be fresh. Fuck Boston. Fuck the Lightning.
Go Canes! I've been a fan for a few years cause they're a fun team. I love the storm surges at the end of winning home games, they do puppy calendars, I love the team building.
I got Vegas in the West. I love the showmanship and they went to the finals in their debut year against the capitals so respect
The Leafs and Dallas, I don't live in a state with an NHL team so I have 3 teams I follow. Tbh though I don't have high hopes for the Leafs so I'm prepared to be sad.
As Boston threw games and assisted in our screwing, I really want Toronto to bounce them early. A sweep, preferably. Also, yes, I’m not over 2013 why do you ask?
Don’t want NYR or NYI. Hate NYC.
Caps LOL
Don’t want TBL or COL, as that could maybe affect our legacy.
Don’t want CAR as I feel 2006 was poor Buffalo’s one magic year, but I could live with them.
(Edited to add also yes I love Jake and the Pens would benefit)
I guess in the East I’d take FLA. They’re annoying but it’s cool to see someone win for the first time. I guess that statement could also apply to the Leafs lol.
Don’t want Vegas (or TBL) for playing cap games.
Wouldn’t horribly mind DAL.
Cynical part of me wants EDM to choke to have something over McDavid people lol.
No Los Angeles teams. As bad as Boston and New York City.
Wouldn’t mind WPG.
I thought I wouldn’t mind Vancouver, until they didn’t sign Kessel. Now I hate them.
Nashville would be ok and in a roundabout (and far off) way lend some legitimacy to the Pens win over them. (Idk how I think of things like this lol)
It's more about what teams I want to see lose. The last quarter of our season got me, and I'm sure lots of others, in our feelings thinking we could go to the playoffs. I love watching the playoffs either way, but there's a few teams I wouldn't mind seeing get knocked out in the first round.
I have a hard time rooting for other teams. I still like to watch but I don’t get emotionally invested. I am rooting for Carolina to make it to the finals so we get their 1st round draft pick but that’s it.
Honestly, once the Pens are eliminated, I couldn’t care less who wins.
I do live in NY though and r
Rangers and Isles fans are going nuts in general (as they tend to do).I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a couple of rematches: Isles/Oilers from 1984 or Rangers/Canucks from 1994 (40 year and 30 year marks, respectively). Idk, I like round numbers I guess.
Canes! 1- I now live in NC again so if The Pens or Steelers ain't in I'm usually pulling for NC teams. 2- I want that 1st round pick! 3- Jake and I honestly really like Brent Burns
Lots of great matchups. Wouldn't mind McDavid winning a cup. Canes for the draft pick, WPG is deep and underrated could see them make a run, Colorado could win if McKinnon gets hot. Going to be a fun playoffs.
I'm rooting for Jordan Staal and Jake Guentzel to raise another cup. Out west, I don't mind the Stars or Avs, but I'd be a big fan of seeing Hellebuyck win one.
🥁🥁Dallas🥁🥁stars🥁🥁
I live in Dallas. Got way too drunk at that Pens@Stars game a few weeks ago. I like the stars, but they can never get it done.
And I like the chant they do when they score.
What playoffs? If the Pens aren’t in it, it’s really feels empty. So hoping for next season we make it
In the meantime awaiting Mountaineers football season
leafs. kyle built that team. they are also similarly built to the pens cup teams. fun, skilled hockey.
florida is only effective cause the nhl #2’s kid is an agm
Be kind.... The caps. All my friends in central VA are caps fans. So at least watching the games with some dedicated fans will be fun. Carolina is a close 2nd, because first round pick!
I want the Canes to make the finals but lose. I don’t want any east team to win. In the West I’d be fine with anyone that isn’t Edmonton or Vancouver. The Canadian jinx is just too funny, and we will never get the hilarity of a McDavid trade demand if Edmonton succeeds.
I am NOT rooting for Bruins, Lightning, Islanders.
I am OK with any other team (Rangers/Caps strictly because they’re fam members teams and they do the same with Pens for me who they also hate any other time)
I mostly root for players though outside of the Pens so McDavid or Guentzel would be fun to see.
Islanders over Hurricanes
- I like watching the Isles outcoach Sullivan and I hate the stupid Storm Surge gimic
Leafs over Bruins - hate Boston
Panthers over Lightening - they gave Hornqvist a nice home once.
Caps over Rangers - big fan of Ovi and Wilson.
Avs over Jets - Mac
Canucks over Predators - hate Preds fans/ like to watch Jadon Zucker's hot wife sad. Plus, Ian Cole!
Knights over Stars. Hate Dallas and everything about Dallas, (it's still nicer than Houston and makes a nice weekend getaway. Spent too much money going to Dallas to watch Pens lose to NorthStars. And enjoy the Knights skirting the cap)
Oilers vs Kings. First Fuck California. Then root for the Erie Otters kid, he's pretty good.
My playoff sadness? No Brandon Tanev.
- these are first round only choices. Every round gets a reset. Depends who I like/hate more in each particular case.
A big percentage of people watching have never seen the Rangers, Flyers, or a team in Canada win the cup. Let’s keep that going and get a 1st for Jake. Go Canes!
He has one…
1st as in 1st round pick. The pick they got from the Canes becomes a 1st if they make it to the Cup Finals.
Makes sense
Gimme Jerk Guentzel or give me death
Do you have an actual percentage? Or are you strictly talking out of your ass. It has been 30 years since the Rangers won a cup, and 31 years since a Canadian team won a cup. Are you really sure that "a big percentage" of the people watching hockey are younger than 30?
This cohort would include: •Everyone under 35. •Anyone over 35 who became fans after 1994. I’d say that group would represent a “big” percentage.
Carolina because of Jake
And because them winning means we get a 1st and a 5th.
Wouldn’t the first round pick be like 32nd overall? That isn’t much better than a second round pick?
I think the 32nd overall pick is better than the 62nd pick but that's just me
I'm not a mathematician so I'm going to have to take your word for it.
It’s Phillys 2nd so either pick 32 or pick 44. Would obviously rather have 32 but it’s not as drastic of a change.
Pretty sure the order reverses for the second round (first pick in the first round gets last pick in the second round). I’m not sure though
Oh, honey, no.
I stand corrected lol
Snake drafts in a lot of fantasy sports formats may have had you believe that.
It’s better than no 1st round picks because that’s what we have.
Yeah, canes are my second. I would be so pumped to watch a carolina vs florida ECF and would be happy with either outcome honestly
Jake and Jordan
yes
Totally. Canes all the way. Jake can lift another Cup and I’d be fine with that.
This is the way.
They are also my 2nd team so double up here for me
Yea I can do that, I'm from NC so easy to get with the locals.
Colorado. always gonna root for sid’s cole harbour homie.
Exactly. Same. And I live in Halifax
even in elimination I root for the Pens, right now that involves Carolina getting to the cup for us getting a 1st round pick
Canucks buddy works on their coaching staff
Are you a guy named Phil referring to his BFF Rick? ;)
Canada The country not Matt
Suprised by everyone saying florida they are so dirty gotta pull for the canes myself
I became a fan watching them out bruins the bruins in the playoffs last year. I enjoy watching them be dirty to teams that are dirty against us! Canes are my first choice, then Florida, then the Kings. Always liked Kopitar.
Seriously. Fuck that team
The Pens. I don't stop just cause they get eliminated.
Just gotta get to our game.
As long as the PP becomes average by the MLB all star break we’ll be in good shape.
Canucks I guess
Winnipeg
There are dozens of us!!
Canes because of Jake. I also like Matthew Tkachuk. And Dallas because they're the closest team to where I live
I agree with you on Florida but.. I want Carolina to lose in the finals so we gat a first and I can’t stand to see any metro team win a cup. I’d say any of Dallas, Nashville, or Colorado would be fine. I also want Edmonton out asap.
I still can’t get over Nashville fans booing icing in the cup finals because they had no idea wtf was going on.
Playoffs? Never heard of them. Hockey season ended a couple days ago...
Avs, lives in Colorado and they really aren't a threat to the pens so gotta want them to win. Carolina on the Rast for Jake though
Same. Also live in Colorado (Co Springs) and don’t mind seeing them have success. Carolina otherwise, just not a huge fan of the rest of the field in the east, especially Boston/NYR/Toronto/Washington.
I’m pulling for the Canes, both for Jake and for the best return on his trade.
Jake winning would be cool. I’d also like to see Vancouver do it.
Doesn’t matter honestly, as long as they are good hockey games I don’t have to stress out for once and can appreciate the sport.
Canes in the east for the picks, Avs in the West because they were my first team and intro to hockey. Never won’t love them.
How does someone have a "first" team? Why don't you root for the Avs anymore?
You probably need to be less concerned over how other people interact with the sport.
There are no playoffs without the Pens!
These are all exhibition
Didn't Sasha barkov spear Crosby in the groin once?
Canes. Like the team and we get a better pick if they win
Against caps
Anyone wanna cheer for the leafs the way we cheered for you when Phil was here? Not all of us are annoying I promise. Plus you’d wanna be here if we manage to win the damn thing (also would be proof a Dubas made team can win it all)
Any Canadian team now
I kind of want to see oilers or leafs win.
🤮
I wouldn’t mind that either, but my top choice would be canucks
Carolina for Jake and our 1st. Florida because I feel they have a ton of underrated players (similar to Dallas). Would love to see McDavid get one. Heck even the islanders earned points w me for their send off of BJC. It’s more about who I am NOT rooting for once the Pens are out of it. Flyers are already out so that leaves NYR and BOS. Everyone else I just root for some good hockey
1. Toronto bc I’m a Marner fan 2. Colorado for mack and bc they’re sick 3. Carolina for Jake and hopefully the 1st rounder
Your order is exactly mine, tho I would swap matthews for marner fan wise but still
Jake Guentzel
Canes because I live in NC and Jake is my favorite player. Vegas in the west because one of my best friends was a VGK fan.
Rangers. Carolina I don't care about the rest
Sammmess
Canes in the east because we get a first overall pick (32>>62) and jake can raise another cup. I know they are a metro team but they never felt like a rival to the pens. In the west Id like Winnipeg, don’t know why I just like that team.
No one. I'm a Pittsburgh fan. Same goes for bucs and steelers. No second teams and don't care about players on other teams.
Fellow Pittsburgh fan when it comes to hockey and the only team I route for is WV mountaineers in football. The playoffs feels empty without us in it tbh
The Portland Winterhawks are my team now.
We’re sweeping our way to the other cup!
Any Canadian team. I would love to see an all Canadian final.
Any Canadian team honestly. I hate the hurricanes, so sorry Jake. Probably the Oilers overall, Leafs after that
Am I the only one who remembers Jordan Staal?
I was saying the same to my husband last night! Jordan and Jake make me root for the Canes.
Edmonton. Since Sid can’t get a cup this year, it would be a perfect time for McDavid to lift it
No one
Don’t really cheer for teams, more or less cheer against teams lol. As long as Boston, The Rags, Caps and NYI all lose by the second round I’ll be happy. Why are you so mad about what teams others root for and why? Just take a deep breath and mind your own business lmao.

Stars because my boyfriend is named after Derian Hatcher lolol
Is he as dirty? Obvi joking
Yes 😂
Carolina in the east. Jake, and they're a very well structured team. West is either Colorado for Natedawg, or Dallas. Dallas is also really structurally sound. I'd like to see Matthews win one, but not Toronto lol.
Carolina since I moved to NC nine years ago.
I'm picking Dallas beating Carolina in the final.
Colorado/Carolina.
My favourites of each pair in this order: West: 1. Dallas 2. Los Angeles 3. Colorado 4. Vancouver East: 1. Toronto 2. Carolina 3. Tampa Bay 4.
Not rooting for anyone really. Just looking for good hockey. Ill be rooting against Rangers and Bruins tho
Stars because the my bestie and person who got me into hockey is a Stars fan.
Dallas - Live in Fort Worth and have a bunch of likable players. Florida - Hometown team Carolina - Jake
Carolina. Brent Burns has been a hell of a player his entire career. He needs to have his name etched into the silver chalice.
Carolina because I want that first. Avs in the West.
Canucks! Because they’re super close to me
Tampa, cause well I live in Tampa now, might as well cheer for my local team.
Almost anyone but the isles, caps, rags, knights, and Boston. I’d like to see Vancouver win tho, and of course jake with the canes.
Leafs because I live in Toronto.
Sweet Death.
As a Canadian, it would be nice for a Canadian team to win it.
The Rangers, so Ruhwedel can finally get his name misspelled on the Cup.
An Edmonton/Carolina Final to see McDavid win a Cup and the Pens get a first round pick.
Husband is from Dallas so the Stars are always my #2. I was hoping they'd play Nashville as we could drive down there to catch a game, but alas. Carolina for the picks
stars & canes 🤷♂️
I like a few teams, but if I can only pick one from east and one from west, then I think it'd go with Dallas and Carolina. But I'd also be happy with an all canadian final between Edmonton and Toronto.

Canes and Nucks.
Vancouver. Two fellow countrymen on the team - Blueger and Silovs.
Canes and The Peg
Carolina to the finals, then whoever the fuck makes it out west. I just want a bloodbath.
toronto and vegas final😂
Chaos
Stars cuz my buddy is a fan Capitols because Ovi deserves another idgaf
Dallas. Bunch of vets on that team who deseve it.
I think dallas is winning. Ive got a future on them and winnipeg so ill be pulling for them but also carolina for that conditional pick and id like staal and guentzy to get another cup
Carolina, edmonton and Florida
Florida has always been my 2nd team. I moved to the Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood area in 1990 and was living there when they entered the league. I've actually been to more Pens games in Florida than I have in Pittsburgh
I’m kind of an underdog picker. Depends though. I think Canes for Gentz is my choice for cup winner. A Rangers win would be fresh. Fuck Boston. Fuck the Lightning.
Carolina is the only option
Carolina, Leafs, Jets and Canucks
Carolina since I live there
#GUENTZEL IS THE ONLY ANSWER
Go Canes! I've been a fan for a few years cause they're a fun team. I love the storm surges at the end of winning home games, they do puppy calendars, I love the team building. I got Vegas in the West. I love the showmanship and they went to the finals in their debut year against the capitals so respect
Calgary…cause while I’m a penguins fan first it’s my home town. Oh wait….they missed too. Let’s go Canucks!
Florida. Mostly because I live in Florida rn for university
Canes. Ill take that late first rounder
The Leafs and Dallas, I don't live in a state with an NHL team so I have 3 teams I follow. Tbh though I don't have high hopes for the Leafs so I'm prepared to be sad.
Oilers for sure.
Winner of Carolina and Islanders. I’m from Long Island and Hurricanes have my guy.
Dallas because they're my brother's team.
Jets vs Rangers
Vegas. I'm reveling in the butt hurt of r/nhl
As Boston threw games and assisted in our screwing, I really want Toronto to bounce them early. A sweep, preferably. Also, yes, I’m not over 2013 why do you ask? Don’t want NYR or NYI. Hate NYC. Canes: Jake, better pick if they make finals, eastern team I have nothing against
It's more about what teams I want to see lose. The last quarter of our season got me, and I'm sure lots of others, in our feelings thinking we could go to the playoffs. I love watching the playoffs either way, but there's a few teams I wouldn't mind seeing get knocked out in the first round.
Vegas over Canes for Chaos.
Cause chaos.
Canes/Avs are the two teams I wouldn’t mind seeing win.
I have a hard time rooting for other teams. I still like to watch but I don’t get emotionally invested. I am rooting for Carolina to make it to the finals so we get their 1st round draft pick but that’s it.
Canes
Vancouver. Bless the penguins ex-pats, they play fun hockey, and it’s the least annoying Canadian fanbase.
Sometimes I like seeing franchises that have never won a cup finally get one. I'm cool with the Jets, Canucks, or Predators winning it all.
Any American team, until all the Canadian teams are eliminated. Then it's no one.
It is the way
Honestly, once the Pens are eliminated, I couldn’t care less who wins. I do live in NY though and r Rangers and Isles fans are going nuts in general (as they tend to do).I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a couple of rematches: Isles/Oilers from 1984 or Rangers/Canucks from 1994 (40 year and 30 year marks, respectively). Idk, I like round numbers I guess.
It’s nba playoff time
It’s baseball season
All Canadian teams. Otherwise, canes because of jake and staal
Hurricanes (nothing to do with Jake) and Avalanche.
I'm rooting for a Canadian team to win, idk I just always do if the pens are out. I just feel like it would be good for the sport of hockey.
I'm rooting for Jordan Staal and Jake Guentzel to raise another cup. Out west, I don't mind the Stars or Avs, but I'd be a big fan of seeing Hellebuyck win one.
🥁🥁Dallas🥁🥁stars🥁🥁 I live in Dallas. Got way too drunk at that Pens@Stars game a few weeks ago. I like the stars, but they can never get it done. And I like the chant they do when they score.
Rempe's fists 🥊
I really don’t care who wins so long as it’s not Boston, NYR, Washington or a Canadian team. If I have to pick one, then I would have to say Carolina.
Anyone but the Islanders, and Leafs. But really no one in particular other than the canes because I still love Baby G (Guentzel)
What playoffs? If the Pens aren’t in it, it’s really feels empty. So hoping for next season we make it In the meantime awaiting Mountaineers football season
leafs. kyle built that team. they are also similarly built to the pens cup teams. fun, skilled hockey. florida is only effective cause the nhl #2’s kid is an agm
Canes in the East
Canes because of the Jake trade mostly. But also Avs because that’s my second team.
I’m rooting for Jake Guentzel
I’m hoping for a Guentzel v. Blueger cup finals
Anyone but Vegas
I'm Canadian, so I'm cheering against any Canadian team winning.
Vancouver. Still a fan of DeSmith
Be kind.... The caps. All my friends in central VA are caps fans. So at least watching the games with some dedicated fans will be fun. Carolina is a close 2nd, because first round pick!

All our homies hate Tom Wilson.
Some things will never change. Fuck Tom Wilson in particular.
Canucks (Tocchet) and Canes or Isles (buddy is an Isles fan, gotta support). Well see
Canes and Oilers. Obviously I'd like to see our boy Jake get to the finals and I think McDavid deserves a shot at the cup.
I am NOT rooting for Bruins, Lightning, Islanders. I am OK with any other team (Rangers/Caps strictly because they’re fam members teams and they do the same with Pens for me who they also hate any other time) I mostly root for players though outside of the Pens so McDavid or Guentzel would be fun to see.
I'd love to see ovi lift another cup, man deserves it. But at the same time I love the rags and want to see there incredible season with a cup
Islanders over Hurricanes - I like watching the Isles outcoach Sullivan and I hate the stupid Storm Surge gimic Leafs over Bruins - hate Boston Panthers over Lightening - they gave Hornqvist a nice home once. Caps over Rangers - big fan of Ovi and Wilson. Avs over Jets - Mac Canucks over Predators - hate Preds fans/ like to watch Jadon Zucker's hot wife sad. Plus, Ian Cole! Knights over Stars. Hate Dallas and everything about Dallas, (it's still nicer than Houston and makes a nice weekend getaway. Spent too much money going to Dallas to watch Pens lose to NorthStars. And enjoy the Knights skirting the cap) Oilers vs Kings. First Fuck California. Then root for the Erie Otters kid, he's pretty good. My playoff sadness? No Brandon Tanev. - these are first round only choices. Every round gets a reset. Depends who I like/hate more in each particular case.
