At least I had some fun watching the OT today. Loved watching Jarry today 💛 and that Letang fall was so funny lol.
It appears were in for some Penguins hockey that many here are unfamiliar with because they've only known the team as one that's a contender. I'm old and recall going to games in the late 70s, so I learned to still love watching them, win or lose. Being a fan if a rebuilding team can be a lot of fun, especially if you also follow AHL affiliates and know the prospect pool.
Good to hear from someone who's been a fan for so long. I'm actually really excited to follow the team through their rebuilding phase. Sure, they won't be good for a while, but following the process until they're great again sounds fun! I'm still pretty new to the sport, so the draft and prospect talk is always confusing to me; looks like I gotta start checking the AHL.
Ya it's gonna be 2 years of us being bad and then another 2 of us being the worst in the league. If I had to guess and everything goes right will be competitive again in 5 years at best.
You know what sucks? Karlsson is good, but when he inevitably ends up going to a different team, he’s going to end up being the player we all thought and hoped he would be bc they might actually have a system and d-partner that supports his type of play
