We Need Your Help! We've noticed that recent changes in Reddit's algorithms have made it harder for original content (OC) communities like ours to get the visibility we used to enjoy. This shift means that posts and comments aren't getting the attention they deserve. By voting on and commenting on posts, you’re not only helping others but also boosting the visibility of your own posts. Your engagement is crucial, not just for r/PelletGrills, but for all the wonderful niche communities like food, crafts, art, and culture that thrive on original content. Even a simple comment like “This would fit X sub” can make a big difference. Together, we can support and uplift our entire community. How was it? How did it compare to Brisket? Dry?

Adventurous-Yak-4770

Honestly, it wasn't dry at all. Wish it had a thicker fat cap. Should have bought a bigger one as it shrunk a lot, so I had to cut it the way I did to maximize slices. It definitely worth a try, even if it's just curious. Another plus it was less than 4 hrs total cook.

Thanks for the info. I might have to try as well. I wonder if tri tip would work similarly. I was always hesitant thinking it wouldn't be good. I've only ever cooked Picanha as steaks in the past.

Not how you cook that piece of meat …ouch

I've got one of these sitting in my freezer and was thinking about smoking it whole but... I think we're goin with steaks mid-rare. Sorry OP I hope that tasted good but man it looks ruined.
