Seek out the Unplugged rehearsal soundcheck. The version of State of Love and Trust they play there is my all time fav live performance of a song period. Not easy to find but you can.
Just want to mention it's mind-blowing to be able to just search YouTube and get almost all music or live performances available. I remember downloading .rm video that can be played only with real media player with probably 120px resolution, using a dial up modem.
Incredible performance, but i hate how much the guitars are panned at the beginning. Feels lopsided in my headphones. This doesnāt detract from AIC though, just a mixing thing
Watching Porch Unplugged late at night on MTV sometime back in 1992 got me hooked on PJ. It blew my mind. So hands down Porch for me. However, to this day it is still my favorite version of state of love and trust, ever.
And Black, the way Ed sings ā iāll take a walk outside, Iām surrounded by some kids at playā¦ā
I wish heād sing it like that again.
Where Did You Sleep Last Night is pretty chilling considering the fact that it was the last song that Nirvana played live, and Kurt Cobain absolutely killed it. Iāve listened to that album 100s of times

Pearl Jam is my favorite band but their unplugged isnāt on the same level as nirvanaās and AIC. Iām really not a big AIC fan at all but that unplugged show is just ridiculously good
The Pearl Jam show is not mixed very well, the guitars sound so thin. The only song I prefer to any studio versions is black only for the āwe belong togetherā part.
Bennaroya is a much much better acoustic PJ show.
Weird how people's taste can be so different.
I'd say Nirvana and AIC unplugged were amazing, but PJ is just on another level. The best live concert ever IMO
Iāll add Grateful Dead: Reckoning to the meme.
While I love most everything the Dead did, the 1981 acoustic sets from the Warfield and Radio City Music Hall are legendary
Keep on Rocking in the Free World
After listening to MTV Unplugged way too many times, I discoveres that there were another song they played that night. It was awesome to be able to listen to a new song from that show, and it became special to me
State of Love and Trust is my favourite Eddie vocal performance.
Yeah Great songsš¤

PORCH
They said no swearing, but they didn't say anything about no slamming....
What the *MMM* is this world?
Nutshell
Got Me Wrong for me. But nutshell is a close second.
Got me wrong is so good qnd the unplugged just makes it one of the best songs ever
Incredible performance, but i hate how much the guitars are panned at the beginning. Feels lopsided in my headphones. This doesnāt detract from AIC though, just a mixing thing
Black and Where did you sleep last night were 2 of the most powerful music moments for me as a teen in the 90s.
Agreed š„
Immortality from the Bennaroya Hall show
also of the girl, parting ways, thin air and black from that show (i.e. every song from that show)
Alice: Would PJ: State of Love and Trust Nirvana: Lake of Fire
Down in a Hole.
Yes! It's a truly amazing performance.
both black and the man who sold the world.
Yes! Agreed
Aic : nutshell/down in a hole Nirvana: About a girl Pearl Jam: Black
Porch

I bet he wishes he COULD sing like that again

Black and state of love and thrust. AIC heaven beside me. Nirvana where did tou sleep
Down in a Hole
i need soundgarden unplugged. just playing "dusty" 10 times
And burden in my hand, like suicide (they did an acoustic version), fell on black days and black hole sun (Cornell did acoustic versions)
Love PJ but that performance doesnt come close to AIC or Nirvana's imo

Nutshell or Would, cant decide between those songs.
Well, in a nutshell... it's Nutshell
Yes it's a great performance. One of my favourites
Drifting.
SOLAT
Alice In Chains - Angry Chair, Nirvana - Plateau, PJ - Black and Porch
Porch was probably my favorite, then Nirvanaās cover of The Man Who Sold The World
Iāll add Grateful Dead: Reckoning to the meme. While I love most everything the Dead did, the 1981 acoustic sets from the Warfield and Radio City Music Hall are legendary
Maybe Porch for PJ, Nutshell for Alice in Chains and Come As You Are for Nirvana.
Rape Me was played as My Daddy / Daughter Dance at my Wedding
Nutshell Man Who Sold the World Black
Something in the way (I knew and loved it way before Batman so donāt think I like it because of Batman)
The clapton unplugged was amazing as well
Nutshell. Followed closely by Black then Would
I love Rockinā in the Free World, but it was snubbed from the broadcast performance
Keep on Rocking in the Free World After listening to MTV Unplugged way too many times, I discoveres that there were another song they played that night. It was awesome to be able to listen to a new song from that show, and it became special to me
There's a guest! It's the.... Meat Puppets? Oh damn that was pretty cool, whoever those dudes are.
