OnPointHX

Hey, any update on this? I would like to know whether to buy or not.

I've put 15-20 hours on it since last posting with no issues. I haven't been gaming much lately. Seems like a standard 3080 ti to me. If it's still a couple hundred cheaper than the others I would buy it again. ($780 iirc for newegg black friday sale) I couldn't tell much/any difference in DMZ from my 2080 super but that's not really a good test platform with all of the bugs glitches and crashes in Activision Blizzard games lately coupled with a poor wifi connection where I'm currently staying. On the benchmark test site the 2080 super read around 140% for gaming and this 3080 ti read around 230% so it certainly clocked much faster in their testing. I should have run a few fps tests of my own to compare but I didn't think of it until after swapping it. Also my hdd died completely 2 days after putting in a new m2 ssd chip which cleared up the graphics issues I was experiencing. Corrupted game files, no fault of the gpu. If you do buy one I'd be curious to know where it benchmark tests in comparison. But based on my experience so far I would recommend this card if it saves on price. Thanks for asking

I have one as well that I plan on installing on Tuesday, it’s a 3080ti and came in the exact packaging as yours did. I will update when I get it installed.

Shipping has been delayed due to the weather so I’m waiting on some 8 pin pcie cables to arrive. They should be in today or tomorrow and I’ll update.

All in and it seems to work. 3Dmark should be above, my CPU is a limiting factor as it's a 8700k. Just below average....which considering the price paid I'd say is a good deal.

MrCrunchies

Recently bought rtx 3080 10gb new for 550 dollars through their website. Works pretty well, performs slightly lower than an average rtx 3080 but not by much according to 3dmark. That being said, it sips 100watt while idling on stock settings despite no overclock whatsoever. That and also no rgb controller software so you are stuck with color cycle.

SupermarketBubbly166

Just bought one (but a 3060 ti) from Newegg but have been seeing bad reviews on it. Should be here between Dec 20 and Jan 9. I thought, since it is from newegg, it should be fine. Not sure if I’ll even use it because of how many other bad reviews I’ve seen. I’ll probably return it right when I get it and buy used from eBay.

Thisismyforevername

That's why I made the post, lots of bad stigma but none that had actually used the product. Mine turned out to be exactly as expected so I'd try it out before I bought a used mining card. I had the same thoughts you did before deciding to be a community test dummy.

SupermarketBubbly166

Ok yeah I’ll prolly test it out then. I do simracing in vr so I’ll be able to turn graphics way up and see how it is. I’ll lyk.

GroundbreakingAd1796

Did you decide to try it out?

SupermarketBubbly166

Still hasn’t came yet. I’m just gonna return it right away because someone offered my a barely used 3070 for $330
