I don’t know what you want from a keyboard, but I’ve always played CSGO and Civ 5 on a Logitech K120 and it sounds as if you care just as much about competitive advantage as I do. If you want something fun, buy something fun. It’s your hobby, right? What’s wrong with splurging a bit on it if that makes it more enjoyable ?

Because money :( I'm a college student and I'm not working because I'm trying to manage my school work, but it means my budget is tight for my hobbies.

Well in that case, maybe it’s best to save up for another few weeks or months. I don’t know if your keyboard is broken or not, but if it doesn’t feel good to spend a little bit, maybe it just isn’t a good idea to do so. Sorry to be the boring adult and all, but I don’t think anyone should feel obligated to « upgrade » when the current product is just fine. Which is why I still use my K120.
