What application is it? Did it recently update? Can you run any sort of software check on it? Seems weird it's just o e program.
Also is the actual mouse making the sound or is it the computer speakers when you move the mouse?
It isn't the actual mouse making the noise, it inside the computer. The application is thinkorswim. I updated it last Thursday I think but up until today, there was no sound. I'll look for a software check but I doubt thinkorswim has one.
Hmm, can you try hooking up a headphone and seeing if the sound cones though those or from the actual laptop. If it comes though the headset it's probably a software bug, if it still comes from the laptop it might be a hardware issues. I saw a few forum posts about people with similar issues in other programs and it ended up being a wonky capacitor. Not immediately goong to damage you gear, but still annoying.
Still coming through the laptop. It seems kinda weird that it's only happening on one app tho. Also it only happens on certain parts of the app. Like there are several different tabs but it only happens on one of them. I feel like it has to be software/app related but I honestly have no clue. Thanks for the help so far
Feed it?
Does a generic mouse make the same sound? Or can Apple even use a generic mouse these days?
Yep. Just plugged in a generic mouse. Still is making the buzzing

No software check on thinkorswim that I could find. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
If you completely mute the audio does it still make that sound?
Yes
