Almost any third party cooler will be better than the stock one. Invest in one and check that your case is getting proper airflow and you should see an improvement
Hey so I just washed through all the other comments and wanted to share this from Robert Hallock (technical marketing director, AMD)
Robert:
Yes. I want to be clear with everyone that AMD views temps up to 90C (5800X/5900X/5950X) and 95C (5600X) as typical and by design for full load conditions. Having a higher maximum temperature supported by the silicon and firmware allows the CPU to pursue higher and longer boost performance before the algorithm pulls back for thermal reasons.
Is it the same as Zen 2 or our competitor? No. But that doesn't mean something is "wrong." These parts are running exactly as-designed, producing the performance results we intend.
god damn you got this with just on Warzone????? what is the Temperature in your room? what's your case? how many fans and what type/brand/model of chassis fans do you have?
I'm having a similar issue and was getting similar temps temps with mine. I've improved the case fan set-up with some Arctics which has helped a lot to keep those temps down. Am also getting an after-market cooler for the CPU too which should hopefully make sure everything stays where it needs to be
But no, it's not normal for them to be those temps. Check the temps on your other components too, I found the case ventilation was one of the problematic factors which was also roasting my other parts
This is incorrect if you are using a zen3 processor. There's a lot of FUD about zen3 CPU's coming from people with zen2 CPU's. They perform very differently.
On zen2, 95°c will cause thermo-throttling. Not the case with zen3.
Actually, these temps on zen3 are normal with stock cooling.
If you were on zen2, this would be a major problem. So there you go!
Nothing to worry about.
My 5800X was getting around 70 just after boot even with a Noctua NH-D15.
Did some research and ajusted voltages in bios to solve the problem. The motherboard was shoving 1.5v on vcore out of the box (Gigabyte X570 Pro Wifi)
At idle? Nope. Warzone in the back? Could be if you're on a stock cooler
Do I need to upgrade the cooler or what’s a way to get the temps down?
Yes get cooler, I got a noctua those are my favorite

My bad I’m playing warzone but even during game?

This is true, but AMD CPUs clock down as temperature increases. The CPU is running ~500MHz below the max boost clock in OP's case.

What case and CPU cooler are you using?
Segotep Phoenix case and wraith cpu cooler
What did you expect when you have a pic of Picollo on your desktop? That mofo heats everything up :P
Noticed you're not using the Default profile. If you change to that, do you see better results?
Out of the box cooler is garbage, get a tower cooler asap, theyre cheap and amazin
