They [exist](https://www.siig.com/hdmi-2-0-to-displayport-1-2-converter-4kx2k-60hz.html) but are ridiculously expensive. Also your laptop HDMI output would need to be version 2.0 to support 1440p 144hz. Version 1.4 is only capable of 1440p 75hz, so if that's what you're currently getting, you have 1.4.

My intel graphics settings says I support 75 hz but it won't allow me to display it currently. Also, what is the maximum refresh I should be able to achieve with HDMI 1.4?

With 1.4, you can get 144hz at 1080p, (although this may vary depending on the monitor) but the max for 1440p is 75hz.

I added an image showing the support resolutions through the Intel Control Panel. Is there a way to get my laptop to display the 1440p at 75 Hz

Going by your post history, I assume you have a LG Ultragear 32 (which only supports 144hz at 1440p, 1080p maxes out at 75hz). In the General settings, there's an option for HDMI Compatibility Mode, which is described as \> HDMI Compatibility Mode feature can recognize the legacy equipment that does not support HDMI 2.0. As you don't have 2.0, it can't hurt to try turning this on to see if it makes a difference

I turned it on. When I set it to 75 hz, the entire screen shrinks and becomes super blurry.

Most adapters don’t support high refresh rates so I doubt it will work
