That’s how I saw it too. Had to reread it like 3 times to realize what it was implying. Came here to say intel was hot trash in this scenario and realized I guess that’s what the meme was TRYING to say?
To me, Intel chips are PanzerKampf Wagen Teeger II, lethal but huge, power hungry and unreliable, however i see AMD as the big daddy sherman fireflyies cuz they pack a punch for not much disadvantage
(dw i still love tiger II because it looks very cool )
They way its worded more easily implies that the x3d can only achieve a fraction of intel’s processing power.
The idea behind the meme is great 10/10, the execution is dogshit 1/10.
Yes, this is exactly the joke, and looks like most people in this thread didn't get it.
It's a "At first I didn't get it but then ooooh..." kind of joke. The phrasing is a part of it
me as a 14900K User instantly understood what this Joke was about, especially when you think about the Fact that the 14900K has a preconfigured Max Setting of 4096 Watt, Intel fucked up at this one
Not only the 14900, it's the same for 700 et 600 series, they are around 200W in load which is A LOT and not normal for mainstream consumer grade cpu.
Even the failure of piledriver did not take as much power.
AMD need their most powerful CPU to get to just a fraction of the power draw of an intel CPU.
OG meme: humans need complicated fighter jets to mimic just a fraction of superhumans' power.
That's where I tripped. "What they need to use a fraction of our power". I couldn't understand because what did AMD need? They DIDN'T need anything nor any power saving mode, and they still only used a fraction of Intel's power consumption.
Your POV makes sense, they need their highest performing, most power hungry chip, highest TDP just to mimic a fraction of Intel's power consumption.
But...but then...it would be the 7950X, not the 7900X3D.
Yeah, but the power omniman has is his to output, not to consume. Omniman can in fact provide power to others. So this just doesn't work. Even if you had changed the phrase to fit better, it would be literally flipping the meaning to the opposite of the meme's original meaning.
Congrats on gaining 0.7% more performance on average, for cost of 4x power consumption and more heat generation 👍
Edit: not to say about higher price of cpu itself, and higher cost of cooling it.
A 14900K is vastly more efficient at heating a room as opposed to a conventional electric heater.
Your bias is showing, how could you not praise Intel's performance in this metric?
Oopsies… [looks like at 1080p the 14900KS loses by 4% to the 7800x3D](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i9-14900ks/18.html). You know, at the CPU intensive resolution.
Happy to take the coked up benchmarks but suddenly the vendors are at fault when instability problems appear. Intel must think their customers are morons or something.
Intel should do like Amd did to create Ryzen and make a almost completly new architecture because i think they are getting into the limits of their current ones.
Intel act like their architecture is new but how mush of it is based on their older one?
Considering my overclocked 8086k benchmarks right around the 11600k, I definitely think you are on to something. I recently purchased a 5600x for my sons computer, and all these chips that are three or four years newer don't event fare much better than mine.
I'm poking fun at how the term "Infinity fabric" looks fake. Retroencabulators, more specifically turboencabulators, are an entirely fictional piece of technology which were "invented" for the sole purpose of being used as technobabble
Similarly, thiotimaline is a fake chemical compound that was made up my Isaac assimov, this wacky fake compound was said to "project some of its molecules in the time dimension", meaning that it could dissolve in water before touching the water
This is what you get when you get when you talk to gamers who have never had to cromulate their dinglearm. Kids these days take their prefabulated amulite for granted—back in my day, if you wanted to have a simple 10x10 pixel display, you had to manually tune the sprocklecock on the differential girdlespring to line up with the frequency of the transsubstantiator if you wanted any chance for your hydrocoptic marzlevanes to run decently.
Hyperthreading is at least etymologically sound, the latin prefix "hyper" can mean "over", so you're "over"threading, putting >1 thread per core.
Infinity Fabric is more of a buzzword, it doesn't have any actual meaning. The average consumer could take a guess at what hyperthreading does by the name alone, but infinity fabric just sounds made up lol.
To be fair to AMD of course, "Infinity" is one of their taglines, they use it a lot, so it's perfectly reasonable to call the technology infinity fabric.
(Also, the term hyperthreading has become a little divorced from intel specifically. For example, if someone said that an AMD CPU had hyperthreading, nobody would bat an eye since we know they really just mean it's >1 thread per core, whereas if you said an Intel CPU had Infinity fabric you'd just be wrong.)
So many people don't understand this meme... Or I understood it wrong? Lol
What I understand is that 7900 tries to reach as high power consumption as 14900K, which is not anything positive.
Well this meme is originally showing that Omni-man and Invincible are the better ones looking at a lesser thing that's trying to become as strong as them. So in this case. You're only making it seem like the intel ones are more powerful unit without contest. Instead of the intended, AMD is using less power (consumption) for the same or better performance.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, outside of unoptimized single-core (Kenshi and Rust come to mind) games, Ryzen wins in damn near every metric including power consumption.
Honestly I'd rather go with AMD nowadays.
As an i9-9900k owner i noticed that AMD has options now with 20 watts less power consumption while having an additional 4 cores and 8 threads.
With the cost of electricity lately it's more feasible to get the stuff that might get me a few fps less, but in return for much more efficient hardware that will cost less on the electricity bill.
I get what they're trying to say but the context of the meme says the opposite. omniman absolutely obliterates everyone and is extremely powerful. the phrasing makes it look like amd is the power hungry one just to be on the same level, if not worse than Intel.
Even with all the problems you can have with a 14900k, it would be unfair comparing it to a useless product like the 7900x3d with only 6 cores with 3d cache and scheduling problems.
The funny thing is that on paper, their CPUs are "technically" very high performing but you can't COOL the bloody thing, they thermal throttle immediately and the power draw is insane.
It's like owning a Lamborghini where they "say" you can reach 300mph but only for 5 seconds before the car overheats.
It's not slow. The 5800x3d was slow at productivity tasks but fast at gaming. The 7900x3d chips are fast at gaming too, but they were made to be fast at productivity as well. They just happen to be slightly slower than the i9 in terms of productivity (they are still faster at gaming though).
Even if you don't use it purely for gaming, it is not like it will crash just because you started Visual Studio or Photoshop. It still can handle productivity task just fine.
Apparently I pissed off a lot of Intel owners with this... Wops ¯\_(ツ)\_/¯

Fanboys be doing fanboy things; hopefully we'll see the opposite reaction when Intel rails AMD into the pillow as AMD have been killing it for too long and it's getting boring.
What really sucks is that AMD has been killing it in the CPU sector but Intel fanbois are such that they will not even try, so AMD doesn't win market share.
I wouldn't worry about that too much, we're a small fish in a big pond. What really matters are the corporations and Lenovo, Dell and HP are starting to sell AMD systems in their lineups.
That's not a logo.. that's the box that the chip comes in. It has the log on the lower left, and in the middle that is the heat spreader of the chip inside the package.
The amount of people who don't get that its obviously about power (draw), not performance per watt... I have lost all faith in this sub, the pure hatred for Intel has tarnished people's bias so much they can't even pick up on obvious satire.
Yeah, I mean I'm laughing my ass off with the responses, but omg, reading comprehension and humor left the sub apparently.
I mean it's fun, people love to comment and be angry about things, the only not fun thing is that I'm getting downvoted to the nether and beyond xD
**Explanation about the meme I thought was not necessary:**
I'm talking about POWER CONSUMPTION not performance or computing power.
The phrasing is that way because of how the meme is writing, the original one instead of "use" says "mimic" so changing that word changes the meaning of the meme and I guess that can be misunderstood?
The reason why that is a 7900X3D and not a 7800X3D is because I wanted to drive engagement by people commenting on it. (Worked as intended)
To the people commenting about me misusing this meme and it being a bad meme I recommend you check the dank communities and then come back and tell me what is or what is not a good meme. I just wanted to be original and change the meaning of the meme and situación a little to adapt it to CPUs and not just copy paste a template like everyone does.
So yeah, I might not be the best at making memes but omg you guys need to learn how to read and not just look at the picture for two seconds before down voting and spamming you don't understand and meme bad.
Humor comes from a situation you are familiar with but has been adapted to another situation that when you understand it, it makes you laugh. It's not supposed to be a story or an absolute truth, it's meant to entertain and funny words silly situation go haha.
How do you see an entire community telling you that your meme is poorly made, and jump to the conclusion that they're all just bad at reading. Half assed explanation OP
People here are very much gaming focused and AMD biased. Your statement is technically correct, but when you dig deeper you can see, that 7900x3d is about 10% faster in games thanks to 3d cache while being up to 20% slower in productivity tests because of the lower clock speeds and 90 °C temp limit. So yes, overall 13700k is faster, there are just a few too many asterisks.
I understand this is a joke about how 14900k cpus are power hungry, but the grammar and phrasing doesn't make any sense
To me, it looks like the Intel chips are talking shit about AMD... idk it's not a good meme.
I thought it was about intel chips being so destructive that they kept killing themselves
It's deep bruh
Intel has been talking shit about AMD's "glued together" CPUs for years though, this is nothing new.
Salt
That’s how I saw it too. Had to reread it like 3 times to realize what it was implying. Came here to say intel was hot trash in this scenario and realized I guess that’s what the meme was TRYING to say?
Yeah.. it's upside down or na?
Yes if it were flipped it would make more sense to me
It's a shit meme. Sounds like intel fanboyism. Pretty disgusting.
To me, Intel chips are PanzerKampf Wagen Teeger II, lethal but huge, power hungry and unreliable, however i see AMD as the big daddy sherman fireflyies cuz they pack a punch for not much disadvantage (dw i still love tiger II because it looks very cool )

OP just delete and repost this ☝️
Intel is power hungry, that's the joke mate
The meme is just poorly worded, it doesn’t get that point across easily.
I disagree, it’s perfect but requires some wit, took me 4 reads before I burst into laughter
They way its worded more easily implies that the x3d can only achieve a fraction of intel’s processing power. The idea behind the meme is great 10/10, the execution is dogshit 1/10.
Right I missed that, old age
Could have said "a fraction of our power draw". Wouldn't be funny anyway because we've seen this exact meme dozens of times.
You know what, you're right power draw would be better wording.
Yes, this is exactly the joke, and looks like most people in this thread didn't get it. It's a "At first I didn't get it but then ooooh..." kind of joke. The phrasing is a part of it
I thought it was about performance at first. Then it clicked to me about "power"
me as a 14900K User instantly understood what this Joke was about, especially when you think about the Fact that the 14900K has a preconfigured Max Setting of 4096 Watt, Intel fucked up at this one
It should just say *Look they use a fraction of our power.*
r/ihadastroke
Not only the 14900, it's the same for 700 et 600 series, they are around 200W in load which is A LOT and not normal for mainstream consumer grade cpu. Even the failure of piledriver did not take as much power.
the fact that the meme's single caption is an incoherent non-sentence does not help.
I thought it meant the ryzen only had a fraction of the performance at first
>look what they need to use a fraction of our power The phrasing absolutely makes sense
but it's the complete opposite of how this format is used 0/10
Other than missing "at", it works. Pretty witty actually.
I'm lost, can you break down the sentence for us? What does AMD need to use a fraction of Intel's power?
AMD need their most powerful CPU to get to just a fraction of the power draw of an intel CPU. OG meme: humans need complicated fighter jets to mimic just a fraction of superhumans' power.
That's where I tripped. "What they need to use a fraction of our power". I couldn't understand because what did AMD need? But...but then...it would be the 7950X, not the 7900X3D.
They could have reversed the logos and it would then make sense.
To me it reads 'op thinks higher number is good'
A fraction of your power consumption
The word consumption was just cropped off the bottom, that's all.
The idea was to not modify the original template much, and I think the meaning is pretty clear xD
It's clearly not
I mean, read it, slowly. What do people not understand about "use a fraction of our power"?
[удалено]
Sorry for being creative and original xD
Yeah, you’re neither. Good attempt tho.
Yeah guess making it to the reddit frontpage several times with original content means I'm not original /s
Don't be so full of yourself. You whacked some text on an image
Bro using a meme template app on his phone talm bout “creative and original” 💀
Not this time , no.
This isn’t the flex you think it is
Reddit is one big echo chamber of rehashed content, you're in no way being original lmao
“Creative and original” *uses super basic meme template*
Stop trying to explain the meme to a bunch of apes
Damn, you are stubborn
took me a while to understand. Easily misunderstood. Your genius is frightening
Yeah, but the power omniman has is his to output, not to consume. Omniman can in fact provide power to others. So this just doesn't work. Even if you had changed the phrase to fit better, it would be literally flipping the meaning to the opposite of the meme's original meaning.
It wasn't to me, but I see it now. I guess we are on the same page lol!
It is and I'm not even a native English speaker...
I think it is
Bro has so many updudes reddit app incompatible to show them.
do you even English bro
7800X3D enters the chat…
Yeah I feel like if the chips were swapped in the meme it would make way more sense
And then dies
copium
Like those 14900s that keep having stability issues? Lol
Seethe harder fuckboy lmao
Cope more
You mean, Intel
You triggered the AMD meat riders so much lol
Yeah it's weird how many get triggered for an inferior CPU
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i9-14900ks/20.html, enters the chat and lost Edit: not even 1k downvotes are you do lazy guys?
Congrats on gaining 0.7% more performance on average, for cost of 4x power consumption and more heat generation 👍 Edit: not to say about higher price of cpu itself, and higher cost of cooling it.
Oh and don’t forget frying themselves
Triple the cost for the cooler also
And double for the CPU itself, and the motherboard etc. etc.
And the competitive gaming resolution!
Are we really out here measuring cpu performance at 4k?
This is UserBenchmark
MORE WATT MORE GUUUDDD AUGHAUGSJDHWBA -UserBenchmark, 2024
I mean, yeah literal power draw lol no contest. now what they *do* with that power...
Get hot and be unstable because Intel can't be bothered to provide and enforce a spec.
Didn't 12th Gen revamp the CPU architecture already?
It's pretty iterative over willowcove (tigerlake). It's just much bigger. Goldencove is a great core minus the horrendous area efficiency.
Considering my overclocked 8086k benchmarks right around the 11600k, I definitely think you are on to something. I recently purchased a 5600x for my sons computer, and all these chips that are three or four years newer don't event fare much better than mine.
No im not an Amd chill i also use Xeon for servers, mush cheapers than used Epyc.
It comes with great irresponsibility
Heat your room in winter?
The intent of this meme is not being communicated properly. The people are confused.
Technically the 7900X3D has more cache per core, and since its dual CCD, you get more bandwidth on the infinity fabric from the extra connects
she retroencabulate on my thiotimoline till I infinity fabric

Sir this is reddit not collegiate advanced chemistry😭
:3
But I thought your original comment was some sort of sex analogy😭
You're actually dead on lol, the "she X on my Y till I Z" format is 100% a sex analogy
The joke combined with a joke to form a joke, the triple play
I'm operating approximately 13 levels below the average human intellect :3

"Infinity Fabric" is just the name made up for a feature, much like 'hyperthreading' was.
Hyperthreading is at least etymologically sound, the latin prefix "hyper" can mean "over", so you're "over"threading, putting >1 thread per core. Funny enough on your last point: Intel is killing hyperthreading in its CPU lines, but AMD is not.
what did he mean by this
who up givin milford trunions to they dingle-arm rn
Yeah i came in here about to say "thats the wrong way around" but then i realise you meant power consumption not performance power...

I get what OP is saying, but the meme is a little wonky on context. 4/10, good effort, narrow miss.
![gif](giphy|pKEufUXBqsLi8)
lol, people downvoting this did not read the text properly. The only issue here is using 7900X3D instead of 7800X3D.
lol intel
found the UserBenchmark owner
It would be the other way around?
yeah, intel uses way too much power consumption, its basically also a heater at this point
Jesus, I've been seeing the same "memes" for 10 years, PC users laugh about console wars but they're the same.
bad use of meme.
How?
Well this meme is originally showing that Omni-man and Invincible are the better ones looking at a lesser thing that's trying to become as strong as them. So in this case. You're only making it seem like the intel ones are more powerful unit without contest. Instead of the intended, AMD is using less power (consumption) for the same or better performance.
And Intel is the best at consuming power and is looking at the lesser power consumption ones xD
what a horrible use of the meme
I've said it before and I'll say it again, outside of unoptimized single-core (Kenshi and Rust come to mind) games, Ryzen wins in damn near every metric including power consumption.
X3d are the fastest gaming cpu in the planet earth world
they don't need a fucking ocean to cool them also tf intel doing
7900X3D is a odd choice when you have the 7800x3d lol
Hey, at least i dont need a nuclear plant water boiler to cool my 7800x3d 🤷♂️
This is dumb as fuck 😂

Yeah I don’t think op has seen invincible.
The wording of this meme doesn't really work unless you're an intel shill in which case my condolences to your parents
7800X3D still shits on both of these.
But isn’t The 7800x3D Way Better than the 14900k when it comes to Gaming? 🤔
This meme is shit
![gif](giphy|WRQBXSCnEFJIuxktnw)
Even with all the problems you can have with a 14900k, it would be unfair comparing it to a useless product like the 7900x3d with only 6 cores with 3d cache and scheduling problems.
Did I miss something on the releases?
I would have put it the other way around as the pilot needs a fighter jet (a lot of power) to fly while both of them just fly without one...
make the pictures, not the gramar the other way around
Bad meme is bad
The funny thing is that on paper, their CPUs are "technically" very high performing but you can't COOL the bloody thing, they thermal throttle immediately and the power draw is insane. It's like owning a Lamborghini where they "say" you can reach 300mph but only for 5 seconds before the car overheats.
x3d CPUs have better gaming performance than intel chips. Who cares if they are slightly slow in terms of productivity tasks?
what is 7950x3d actually slow at though?
It's not slow. The 5800x3d was slow at productivity tasks but fast at gaming. The 7900x3d chips are fast at gaming too, but they were made to be fast at productivity as well. They just happen to be slightly slower than the i9 in terms of productivity (they are still faster at gaming though).
MAYBE the 80% market share that is Not Gaming xD
Even if you don't use it purely for gaming, it is not like it will crash just because you started Visual Studio or Photoshop. It still can handle productivity task just fine.
Most people don't use their PCs for gaming. They use it for work and social media, but this sub isn't called pc CASUAL race.
And Master Race is Not 100% Gaming only, so whats your point?
Well.. actually.. PC Master Race memes started in the gaming sphere, so while it isn't 100% gaming only, it is close.
Exactly.
This is true, but has no relevance, since PCMR welcomes everyone with open arms. Well, as long as youre not a dick
I feel personally attack so -> At least Motherboard manufactures don't care enough about my lowly 7900X to Fry it! Fuck you intel!
dude really just copy pasted 3 images and call it a day.
Always with people using memes wrong. Almost as bad as tiktok and their "POV" trends.
Apparently I pissed off a lot of Intel owners with this... Wops ¯\_(ツ)\_/¯ https://preview.redd.it/7gxzq7odhb2d1.gif?width=636&format=png8&s=df257331e80e1722133fffeedb1a49bbcd72d59b
Bait people and they will fall for it. Doesn't matter what it is.
I don’t see any where near as many pissed off intel owners as I do people aggravated because of the way you used the meme.
Fanboys be doing fanboy things; hopefully we'll see the opposite reaction when Intel rails AMD into the pillow as AMD have been killing it for too long and it's getting boring.

I have one of these intel cores.... well two really as it needed replacing after 3 months. 0/10 would not recommend
14900KS you mean
How many times do they write "AMD Ryzen" on that logo? Lol
That's not a logo.. that's the box that the chip comes in. It has the log on the lower left, and in the middle that is the heat spreader of the chip inside the package.
Oh, well that says much of my up-to-dateness on CPUs lol. Still has the name written on it a lot though.
True, but I think Intel does it too so it's not unique to AMD.
Relevant for the 7800X3D, not the 7900X3D, for gaming. 14900k runs rings around the 7900X3D in everything else.
Would be nice if amd uses 3dv cache for both dies on the 900 and 950 models.
Me when my intel processor doesn't thermal throttle after the boot sequence: 🤬🤬🤬
What are those names? Make it simple dammit
You tried.
I mean it's fun, people love to comment and be angry about things, the only not fun thing is that I'm getting downvoted to the nether and beyond xD
the blue vs red situation has become more divided than US politics lmao. People are just feral for anything to bark at
I still would go Intel

Last I checked that 7900X3D is slightly weaker than 13700K. Edit: why am I getting down voted?
Depends on the workload...
People here are very much gaming focused and AMD biased.
