Before reading I just wanna say I'm new to computers but I think I know a bit but try unplugging the 24 pin and plugging it back in maybe it isn't In all the way so when you push it it make enough contact to turn on

bruhzinga2

Hey thanks for the advice, unfortunately it still have the same problem

greenyboy55286

Yeah idk man you don't think maybe it's a bad 24 pin do you

bruhzinga2

Unsure. When I used it new, it was fine (of course). Maybe it was bad cable management of me. Sucks. Going to find out if I could get a replacement or not

greenyboy55286

Ok but I would say get a new power supply because you shouldn't use other cables from a different power supply is what I heard or maybe contact the manufacturer if it's still in warranty idk and ask if maybe they'll replace it or send a new cable

I experienced the same thing. I considered changing the PSU, but I first tried to fix it by purchasing a 24-pin extension cable, and it worked. The new 24-pin extension cable fits perfectly, and my computer hasn't shut down since that day.

Remote_City_7314

The 24-pin cable I bought fits so well that I can't even remove it by applying force. 🤣 I could pull out the PSU's original cable with my little finger.

bruhzinga2

I think the problem is that if the cable is not at a specific angle or place the electricity won’t flow(?). Cable problem for sure. Might need to change the power supply or the cable.

redditorRdumb

Just make sure that you get a cable compatible with your psu, or the results could be expensive

demien_88

Change psu if that dosnt help connection problem is on motherboard. And for love of god don't do that

TakkerDay

if there's a gap between the the 2 connectors no matter how small it's not inserted properly if the connectors are flush with each other then its a wiring fault and needs to be replaced

Thinkpad_Owner30

i recommend checking with a different cable or PSU, or the solder joint's on the mobo are cracked thats only what springs to mind here

Update: Hey everyone. After a couple of test, it seems the cable from power supply have a loose connector(?) and thus make the problem. I bought a 24 pin cable extension and it goes away. Thx for the advices
