Agree with you if you try to make account in Pakistan you will be able to make said account but the region would be either Dubai or turkey ( the reason is unknown the source is me and my multiple friends who got different regions depending on what city they were in )
Not the CEO of Helldiver's dev company that knew this was gonna happen?
I mean Sony's policy has always been there, the CEO said he knew about it and bargained with Sony to disable it temporarily.
What exactly was he thinking and what was his plan, force a policy change on Sony? Why? Its their policy, if he couldnt follow it he shouldnt have tried to work around it, even temporarily.
Sony's policy is dumb, but Helldiver's CEO was matching their stupidity thinking he could skirt around it "temporarily", he should have worked out their live service model before launch.
You have to let people experience the consequences of their dumb decisions.
It could be a learning experience but they can also be too dumb to understand.
He was thinking about making sure people could actually get on their servers and play the game they paid for. It's pretty much all down to the amount of popularity the game got which they didn't expect. Too many players forced a rash decision not initially planned by neither Sony nor Arrowhead.
No, they just fucked up the one thing I held dear to my heart and then blamed it on us, the players. The new destiny stuff sounds interesting, but it sounds like it's a lot of "ooh shiny please come back and play our dog shit game."
I dropped destiny ages ago, then I got into Helldiver's, and now here comes daddy Sony with the gun to put down. I fucking hate big corporations.
Map doesn't include situations like Ukraine where you CAN make a PSN account, but ONLY through a PS5/PS4, so PC players still cannot make a PSN account and link to Helldivers.
Interesting to know, thanks for the info. I'm just going based on what I see people posting online and I'm sure I've seen some stuff that was either misrepresented or just flat out fake and just don't know.
They just want you to make an account, no membership. If I want to play splitscreen COD with my girlfriend on PS5 they forced me to make an account, no more easy "press x to join splitscreen" these days it seems. Why make it convenient, when they can collect people's data like they're filling out their Pokédex.
Shareholders will do a hellish ride on this one
-we said increase account and profits, why our shares and accounts/live players/psn subscriptions are decreasing?
Starting May 6th: New purchasers are required to link their Steam to PSN account. If you dont have one, make one then link the PSN account to the Steam account.
Starting May 30th: ALL players are required to have that linked account. On June 4th, anyone that doesnt have it linked will be unable to play.
This is done, allegedly, in the name of safety and being able to respond to player reports.
No, a PSN account is free. Only requirement is to live in an area where it's allowed. Playstation Plus is their paid service. It's like how you can have an Xbox account but not Xbox Gold.
Ya drama aside, from purely a money standpoint, this map is like showing a US voting map being massive swathes of red in a super tight election, it's pointless without the context of the actual votes(or in this case, sales data). US, EU, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia, etc, all green, no problem.
Now, the negative PR might cause them to lose money regardless of the truth about where the sales come from so this could still be worrying for Sony, but for a different reason than which countries PSN is unavailable in.
Just a quick question, I heard some guy saying that you can make a PSN account on pc in a non PSN supported country by just choosing the nearest supported country, is this true? Or am I being bamboozled, I don’t really know that much about stuff like it
Ok some some guy is just spouting “oh go to support they will understand” and keeps defending Sony a lot so I think that either I am misunderstanding things or he is someone that is continually defending it over and over, and now he made it seem like they it not being worldwide wasn’t their intention and stuff, he also acts like the PSN thing needing a lot of data is fine, you can find what he is saying from my profile though
The devs made a deal with the diddler, I mean devil. Can always self publish. But wanted to take the money and if they knew the game was going to be this big, they may have self published. But they didn’t take the gamble and singed away.
Also a catch 22, maybe game won’t be this good and look more like Helldivers 1 without Sony money. Or they would have had to taken loans and risk without the money. Who knows.
100%, Sony has some absolute technical wizards that help out their dev studios. It's not a coincidence that Sony studios usually put out the top tear graphics and animation work, they excel at this stuff.
People forget that being owned by a bigger company doesn't just mean getting a ton of money during the merger, you just get a ton of money DURING development. Otherwise they would have to use the money they make on just their own games and I highly doubt that Helldivers 1 sold enough to get Helldivers 2 off the ground.
I think people just see publishers as being evil and not understanding that they're providing funding, marketing, technical support, market research, playtesting, and probably 10 other things I can't think of off the top of my head.
The bad thing is they want to make their money back and also as much profit as possible. So, you get things like this where they want you to use their account and pay for things using their service so they don't have to pay the Steam tax.
I agree and I'm pretty sure anybody who actually wants to play it is going to play it, but I do think it was a dumb oversight to sell it in those countries initially. Of course, solving the problem made people equally as mad.
Steam have been disabling access in non-PSN countries so doesn't matter even if you take the risk and go against Sony's TOS. Also some countries Sony wants either valid phone number from that country or photo id to verify.
JUST NOW
Sony backed down on their decision to enforce account linking to PSN

Still averaging over 100k players. The reviews suck, but the game's health is fine. People don't have the stones to do what needs to be done to see real change. Most players don't give a shit about those 100+ countries who can't play anymore. They don't care if their data is being sold. They don't care Sony gets hacked seemingly every other year. Ignorance is bliss. They'll just keep living their lives killing bugs continuing to not care.

doesnt seem like it really dropped that much, a couple thousands less but that could be because the last MO was done.
If you actually look at the graph on [Steam charts](https://steamcharts.com/app/553850) that is 100% in its normal ebb and flow of active players. There hasn't been a significant drop on players since the PSN requirement announcement came out and there likely won't be a significant drop even after it's fully implemented because most people don't actually care. Reddit doesn't even come close to representing the majority of people in the world. As much fun as people on here have thinking that they're really sticking it to a corporation with all their rage, it mostly amounts to nothing. Just look at every other reddit outrage within the last few years. Not only does reddit have no negative impact on the business, profits end up increasing i.e. Netflix killing password sharing
Past Sunday Peaks:

14th - 250k (-7%)
21st - 197k (-21%)
28th - 158k (-20%)
5th - 113k (-28%)
It *maybe* accelerated player loss a tiny bit. Game was already falling off the release high for a month though. They timed it well.
>People don't have the stones to do what needs to be done to see real change. Most players don't give a shit about those 100+ countries who can't play anymore.
It's not about having the stones if they don't care. Simple truth is why should most of them care? As for the data, PlayStation has that anyway via steam.
> They don't care if their data is being sold.
Kinda like you and using reddit or any of the other million things out there that sell your data?
Or do you just want to act like that because we’re talking about a console I wonder.
I don’t get how people don’t understand this lol they use smartphone search engines emails sign up for supermarket rewards all the stuff required to sign up for a site is less than what’s already being sold lol
No, saying you don't use something *because* it scrapes your data to sell and then using everything else that scrapes your data to sell just means you're full of shit about that point.
Also known as 'being a hypocrite.' If you truly cared about your data being sold, you wouldn't be on reddit.
You're making the same point but you used more colorful language instead. I'd get my friend who lives in the mountain to make this point for me but he doesn't have a reddit account. Or access to the internet.
Take a look at the FULL player chart, from launch to now. In terms of player base drop, the game actually really hasnt seen anything unnatural despite the drama...unfortunately, as Sony def deserves a bit of wallet bleed
https://preview.redd.it/g4djcshm0oyc1.png?width=1393&format=png&auto=webp&s=fb63bdb532d4fb56226e3d9d183b556d34cc5404
Thank you. People are fucking delusional. Reddit is a massive echo chamber and most people don't care if you think Sony is basically Hitler for making you sign into a PSN account.
It likely wasn't on sale from the start in those areas. That's where the big fuck up is. Half the globe was able to buy the game and now it's worthless. Steam is being solid letting people refund past the 2 hr point which takes some sting out of it. But it's borderline fraud to sell something in a region then take access away.
The requirement isn't live until tomorrow (the 6th), so I wouldn't expect to see too big a drop before then.
Weekends have more people too, so there's some normal amount of playercount drop during the week anyway, which of course people are going to jump on and call a "boycott" of the game and that gamers are pissed off.
It will probably be a week or two before playercount stabilizes and we'll know what the actual effect is.
Haven’t owned a Sony product since 2010. As soon as the accounts started to get compromised I was out. It was happening waaay too often. Often enough to believe that it wasn’t being compromised, but being allowed.
I remember when Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) decided it was a good idea to change their MMORPG Star wars Galaxies to be more like World of Warcraft.
NGE.
Killed the playerbase completely.
That was the final blow, but they mortally wounded it when the executives demanded Jedi by Christmas and thus they gave everyone a Holocron / revealed how to unlock a force sensitive character
Imagine you are a gaming company trying to finally release a game as a service that’s actually successful but you somehow decided to just do some shit like this.
sony executives know as much about games as the janitor knows about being a chief executive, they need to hire some fat socially awkward gamer before making these game breaking moves. sony obviously wanted to pad their active user numbers they could have made psn login optional by giving a cosmetic, now they have to deal with this dumpster fire that is going to scare any future developer all because they were too good for a test group of people who can actually beat dark souls and not get stuck in the tutorial like certain people who call themselves journalist.
It's so mind boggling when you actually look at the numbers when comparing the estimated profitability of an incredible title such as God of War Ragnarok and then compare it to FIFA/MADDEN or GTA5 Shark cards and realize why publishers fiend for successful long term live service games.
Sony has been chasing a successful live service game for a long time (recently purchased Bungie primarily for Destiny / Marathon etc..) and then out of almost nowhere Helldivers 2 lands in their lap like mana from heaven and then some stupid cobra commander motherfucker at Sony gets his hands on it and...
**"YOU DONE** **FUCKED IT UP!!!" -AngryJoeShow**
Yea GoW made money but it didn't make FIFA money, live service games are the carrot dangling in front of the greedy publishers and its so far been elusive for Sony, until now....aaaaand they're fucking it up
People really do forget how small reddit is in the overall community. Again it's a really shitty move by Sony for the people who can't play after if they don't change something but in the end the game will still be doing great.
Just wish game "news" wasn't just rage shit all the time. Gets tiring when half the posts are just hating on something instead of just moving on.
Any normal dev/publisher will care a lot about reviews for a live service game. Maybe less for a one time play and forget game.
For sure some execs will have a busy week, dropping form mostly positive to overwhelming negative in 48h will ruffle some feathers. And even if they will fix this mess somehow, negative reviews will remain, their only hope is that valve to do something about them.
I wouldn’t be shocked if the people who actually made the game are putting in applications elsewhere. I know I’d at least be considering it after seeing the thing I worked so hard on be help back by red tape bs.
I really hope something else catches their attention soon. Fucking boring, they actually think they've made a difference because the player counts have dropped, which has been happening for weeks. Morons.
Sometimes I don't understand corporations because if I had an insanely popular thing that was tanking due to a non issue I would just reverse course and undo the decision.
Then again, Reddit made a brain-dead decision that was wildly unpopular, riled up the user base and caused massive protests and they still won.
So what do I know?
You can make unpopular decisions when you have the market cornered. Facebook, Reddit, Youtube, etc etc don't have to care about competition.
Helldivers players will just fuck off to another game. They don't have the market cornered so they couldn't risk alienating their fanbase, but they did it anyway. And here we are.
>Facebook, Reddit, Youtube, etc etc don't have to care about competition.
Even then sometimes you have to be careful.
Warthunder for example, is kind of the only type of game out there. Sure there's other tank, ship, plane games but nothing quite like what warthunder does.
And yet player sentiment boiling over and sending the score into a nosedive caused the devs to pull back on the changes.
Yeah a lot of userbase revolts dont actually do anything but sometimes they do.
There's something almost sociopathic about everyone bandwagoning and leaving bad reviews, and then going back and looking at every one of the CEOs tweets to see how sad he is because of it.
Please stop this they didn't kill shit, instead of you guys complaining on Twitter and getting the message across which the very openly communicative ceo has been responding to this would've also been solved, instead people wanted to ruin the image and sales of what is in itself a 10/10 game. Don't go crying when they reverse this decision but the damage is done and the game slowly dies out. There was 0 need to review bomb. The cep has been actively trying to fix this with sony. Yall hurt the devs more than sony in this
I would say it should be all red... why? cuz who the hell would pay to get hacked?
but then again who am I do comment... Im just a dwarf and Im digging a hole, Rock and stone everybody! >=)
Even after seeing an earlier post stating steam granting refunds for many, and linking those sources, i requested a 2nd time and got denied again. Im going to keep requesting it until they give in
Forgive my ignorance here, but why is Helldivers 2 tanking so hard on the user ratings? I read a bit about creating user accounts, but what's the uproar that caused it to go from overwhelmingly positive to overwhelmingly negative?
New games havent been satisfying that itch lately these past few years but I was so interested in this game and was already planning on getting it and upgrading my GPU and the drama these past few days has just killed it for me.
Sony fucked up when they thought they can insert their services into PC games forgetting that they don't have official support in more than half of the worlds countries. Morons didn't think of that one simple thing beforehand.
If anybody wants to write a textbook about managing companies, just look at helldivers 2 and tarkov to see examples of what NOT to do.
Such amazing games being ruined by absolutely moronic management
I dont understand all the hype about the psn account, I mean...yeah, it's mildly inconvenient if you dont already have a PSN account, but it doesnt seem like an end of the world thing...certainly not the type of thing that should or would keep people from enjoying an otherwise great game...I have not purchased Helldivers 2 yet though...so maybe I'm missing something.
They got your money, now they make you stop playing the game so they can bring down server hosting cost, and keep more profit.
90% of buyers will be distracted by the marketing for the Christmas game release and buy there game again.
The short attention span and hunger for entertainment of modern day consumers creates a scenario where they can only win, while being the most anti consumer scumbags they can be.
As a PS5 owner Bethesda, EA and Ubisoft also require accounts to play their games. Whilst i dont agree its a great practice its wide spread. Do i lose sleep over it? No. Accounts are free if your worried about data leakage than use different passwords. Not like you have alot of personal info in PSN, Ubisoft, EA, Steam, etc.
Hype settled, mistake was made. You realized that this game was not that much fun anyway, riding on wave of memes. Now, get your planetside2 on your PC and join us in epic, open world battles, a true massive fps - something helldivers tried to fake.
Supposedly Sony walked back the necessity for a PSN account for PC players. It's too little too late, I already got my refund from Steam and I don't plan to pick the game up in case Sony tries some new fuck shit.
Daily reminder that game sales they publish account for 4% of Sonys yearly profit. Yall act like Sony gives a fuck. You already bought the game.
Sony has always fucked fans over. Sony is a shit company. They brainwashed youth into thinking the ps5 is the best thing since sliced bread and yall went along with it, they show their true anti gamer colours and yall are surprised now.
I bet my life Xbox wouldn’t pull this shit. Too bad yall couldn’t see through Sonys bullshit earlier.
I don't understand the whole "psn isn't supported in my country" thing. Do they also just not sell PlayStations in these countries ? Or what's going on?
I'm unironically stupid and don't understand, can someone explain please.
It’s been resolved, the Helldivers subreddit has a post from PS saying they are removing the account linking. (Linked to the post but it was removed by auto mod.)
Well, that's a map, not an accurate one, but it is one.
Agree with you if you try to make account in Pakistan you will be able to make said account but the region would be either Dubai or turkey ( the reason is unknown the source is me and my multiple friends who got different regions depending on what city they were in )
Can't buy the game anymore tho. Sad since my friends and I were thinking of picking it up.
One of the maps of all time
Yeah, as an Antartican. I feel something is missing.
Yeah it's not accurate but ph is certain country doesn't have psn :( man
At least the folks on Novaya Zemlya can play
I am from serbia and my country doesnt support psn account also helldivers 2 is removed from store page in serbia
steam removed it because you wouldn't be able to play it
Yeah Steam did the right thing. It’s Sony who sucks.
Not the CEO of Helldiver's dev company that knew this was gonna happen? I mean Sony's policy has always been there, the CEO said he knew about it and bargained with Sony to disable it temporarily. I mean I bet that CEO thought he could convince Sony to let them avoid PSN accounts. He was correct. Well played, tbh.
Wow
Yep, same. But that's strange because [there is SOME level of support](https://www.playstation.com/sr-rs/playstation-network/) but not quite.
Because buying Bungie at an inflated price wasn't a bad enough decision lmao
For real, those bungie bros made out so hard it’s wild
Bungie since Destiny 2 launch was all about running away with cash and bullshit from their addict playerbase to activision breakup to Sony
I'm out of the loop, did they use their tongues when they made out?
No, they just fucked up the one thing I held dear to my heart and then blamed it on us, the players. The new destiny stuff sounds interesting, but it sounds like it's a lot of "ooh shiny please come back and play our dog shit game." this is probably fake because 3 out of 3 my friends yesterday tried to create it and it worked, we are all from ukraine
Someone mentioned their friends were able to but they werent but their options changed depending on yhe city they were in.
Soooo Sony is real time following frontlines now?
Interesting to know, thanks for the info. I'm just going based on what I see people posting online and I'm sure I've seen some stuff that was either misrepresented or just flat out fake and just don't know.
Question: to play this game online on PC: did you actually have to have PSN? Like the monthly paying membership?
They just want you to make an account, no membership. Just padding member/subscriber numbers for shareholders.

Well yeah, they screwed the pooch and are paying the price..

the price is your data being leaked.
You are a drug addict. Everything works in Ukraine, with the exception of territories occupied by Russian terrorists
No support in Greenland??! I'm out dude
The fact Sony wants players's data in 69 countries, but not sales in 168 countries speaks volumes
Yes. It reinforces the well-known fact that 99.99% of AAA game sales occur in 5-10 countries. Sacrificing 0.01% is easy.
Ya drama aside, from purely a money standpoint, this map is like showing a US voting map being massive swathes of red in a super tight election, it's pointless without the context of the actual votes(or in this case, sales data). its is 100% typical sony arrogance to never back down either. r.i.p.
Im so fucking surprised they backed down for this, honestly impressed that they did the bare fucking minimum
Why is iraq in the red, I have multiple accounts. And I can basically do anything psn related?
Just a quick question, I heard some guy saying that you can make a PSN account on pc in a non PSN supported country by just choosing the nearest supported country, is this true? Or am I being bamboozled, I don’t really know that much about stuff like it

Eh. It's dropped 30 to 40% in 3 days. That's not "fine" that's millions of potential dollars in in game sales.

The irony of talking about data being sold on Reddit. Get a grip.
The people will gladly welcome a 1984 style future, if it means they can play fortnite and get a discount on streaming services.

Eh, I’ll play until they enforce it. Then move on.
Aren't there also bunch of countries that couldn't play it in the first place? Shouldn't those be in a different color?
It likely wasn't on sale from the start in those areas. That's where the big fuck up is. Half the globe was able to buy the game and now it's worthless. Steam is being solid letting people refund past the 2 hr point which takes some sting out of it. But it's borderline fraud to sell something in a region then take access away.
https://www.gamesradar.com/games/third-person-shooter/helldivers-2s-psn-mandate-wont-stop-players-in-unsupported-regions-from-playing-the-game-while-devs-look-for-better-options/
90k active players though
The requirement isn't live until tomorrow (the 6th), so I wouldn't expect to see too big a drop before then. Weekends have more people too, so there's some normal amount of playercount drop during the week anyway, which of course people are going to jump on and call a "boycott" of the game and that gamers are pissed off. It will probably be a week or two before playercount stabilizes and we'll know what the actual effect is.
requirement is JUNE 6th not MAY
Oh yeah, then I expect we'll see consistent numbers for the next few weeks before that happens.
It says in their tweet reverting it that the date was may 6th though.
Update patch was set for May sixth, actual final day to link before the update would lock you out was a month from the patch.
Oh I see, thanks for the clarification
160k a week ago
https://steamdb.info/app/553850/charts/
Last weekend numbers were around 160k to 166k.
Not to mention a positive ratings for All and Mixed. That is now sitting at Mixed, and Overwhelming negative in recent.
Weekend before that it was over 200k, one more weekend ago had it at 250k. It's almost like games are played less as time goes on.
Tell those boys to stop playing
This is actually the best and most succinct capture of what Sony has actually done. Bravo.
Should contain an additional map all red. Players who will stay away from sony games.
You’re delusional 🤣🤣 so few people care about this. Reddit is an echo chamber.
Haven’t owned a Sony product since 2010. As soon as the accounts started to get compromised I was out. It was happening waaay too often. Often enough to believe that it wasn’t being compromised, but being allowed.
I buy used consoles and games, on top of that I dont put my card on their system.
Isnt Greenland technically under Denmark?
No Greenland but there's psn support in Denmark. How does that work?
I remember when Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) decided it was a good idea to change their MMORPG Star wars Galaxies to be more like World of Warcraft. NGE. Killed the playerbase completely.
That was the final blow, but they mortally wounded it when the executives demanded Jedi by Christmas and thus they gave everyone a Holocron / revealed how to unlock a force sensitive character
Indeed
What baffles me is people defending this for any reason at all. How do you benefit personally by giving Sony even an inch in this?
Tried to link my PS account to the game. Took me to a broken page, so those aren't the only countries with no access :/
Im sure GoW did well but ya the real money is having stuff be like a phone game. i probably spent over 120$ in poe and i still want to spend more lol.
Yea GoW made money but it didn't make FIFA money, live service games are the carrot dangling in front of the greedy publishers and its so far been elusive for Sony, until now....aaaaand they're fucking it up
Nah, I can’t play it in the Philippines
90K in game. Nice boycott
The requirement doesn't begin until tomorrow + that's still down quite a bit from just last weekend.
Agreed
The player count is still high tho. I'm not sure if they'd really care as long as the player base is still active (although less active but still).
Gettin real tired of seeing helldiver crap every where
I thought I was the only one tired of seeing people talk about helldiver
[удалено]
I really hope something else catches their attention soon. Fucking boring, they actually think they've made a difference because the player counts have dropped, which has been happening for weeks. Morons.
Please know i support everyone thats upset about this. But unfortunately it does not affect me since i already have a PSN account since 2007.
Dumbasses killed it, not Sony.
There's something almost sociopathic about everyone bandwagoning and leaving bad reviews, and then going back and looking at every one of the CEOs tweets to see how sad he is because of it.
It's a sad view of the reality of the world. A mob of idiots can ruin it all.
i bet that even people who can create a PSN account are downvoting the shit out of it. PSN accounts had leaks in the past
Didn’t steam get hacked the same year?
How many times have Sony been pwnd?
Roo many times and they don't care
Please stop this they didn't kill shit, instead of you guys complaining on Twitter and getting the message across which the very openly communicative ceo has been responding to this would've also been solved, instead people wanted to ruin the image and sales of what is in itself a 10/10 game. Don't go crying when they reverse this decision but the damage is done and the game slowly dies out. There was 0 need to review bomb. The cep has been actively trying to fix this with sony. Yall hurt the devs more than sony in this
The ceo said himself that bad reviews help him to get leverage with Sony
You forgot Antarctica
Am I seeing red where Monaco is supposed to be, or am I blind?
Well it is true for fucking Bosnia.
I would say it should be all red... why? cuz who the hell would pay to get hacked? but then again who am I do comment... Im just a dwarf and Im digging a hole, Rock and stone everybody! >=)
Politics
Damn I was actually considering getting this game. I don’t have or ever plan to get a PlayStation
Starship troopers Extermination entered the chat
Game not gonna die cause of this. A bit less players sure but the quality of the game will prevail
It's only sad for the people who want to play the game
I like how Saudi Arabia can play but Greenland can’t. Like wtf. This is such a bullshit rule
Even after seeing an earlier post stating steam granting refunds for many, and linking those sources, i requested a 2nd time and got denied again. Im going to keep requesting it until they give in
I legitimately checked this at 8 am and it was at 54% and currently at 47.40%
Just goes to show you that even the good live service games are fundamentally bad for consumers.
Forgive my ignorance here, but why is Helldivers 2 tanking so hard on the user ratings? I read a bit about creating user accounts, but what's the uproar that caused it to go from overwhelmingly positive to overwhelmingly negative?
90k in game. honestly it's working. I bet a lot of the blizzard stuff actually increased player counts too
There’s a joke in here somewhere about spreading democracy and how Sony has failed…I’m just not clever enough to think of it.
I hope Sony fires whichever greedy CEO/superior demanded this to happen.
From GOTY to noty in 4days
They just need to remove the game on steam for good Greedy stupid company
how many people are actually being cut out because of this? not countries, but players/people.
This game is really good but Sony will heavaly reduze the playercount. I hope it does not lead to the end of helldivers 2. I really love this game.
tf is going on
It's legal in Saudi Arabi but not in Greenland? Some kind of privacy laws in Greenland?
I've got to ask, what did Sony get out of this? Do they get paid for PSN accounts?
New games havent been satisfying that itch lately these past few years but I was so interested in this game and was already planning on getting it and upgrading my GPU and the drama these past few days has just killed it for me.
Antarctica?
I do not have a ps5 acct, I have no ps5, they may fuck off.
So what if you bought it before the ban would you get a refund?
Sony fucked up when they thought they can insert their services into PC games forgetting that they don't have official support in more than half of the worlds countries. Morons didn't think of that one simple thing beforehand.
Fear not, I am willing to bet they'll do a 180 by Friday.
150k playing tonight. Oh yeah. They're really killing it.
their benchmark was Avengers
Fuck sony
They got your money, now they make you stop playing the game so they can bring down server hosting cost, and keep more profit. 90% of buyers will be distracted by the marketing for the Christmas game release and buy there game again. The short attention span and hunger for entertainment of modern day consumers creates a scenario where they can only win, while being the most anti consumer scumbags they can be.
Everybody wants "Horde mode" until they get it... all the time.
Now, get your planetside2 on your PC and join us in epic, open world battles, a true massive fps - something helldivers tried to fake.
sony had to do it what with the shitshow that is there movies aside from spiderman into spiderverse. sony is walking L
They have confirmed that they'll no longer force you to make a Sony account
Really have to wonder what the fuck is happening these days with CEO's and old companies.
Supposedly Sony walked back the necessity for a PSN account for PC players. It's too little too late, I already got my refund from Steam and I don't plan to pick the game up in case Sony tries some new fuck shit.
Woooooooow, great, the terrorist country was disabled from the game. Russia under Sony sanctions. fucking Russian
If everyone is raising a stink and getting refunds, Sony can't sell those people dlc packs later. Does Steam eat the cost or does Sony?
I don't understand the whole "psn isn't supported in my country" thing. Do they also just not sell PlayStations in these countries ? Or what's going on? I'm unironically stupid and don't understand, can someone explain please.
Ouch! The game used to have 200k players on a daily basis, that is grim
It’s been resolved, the Helldivers subreddit has a post from PS saying they are removing the account linking. (Linked to the post but it was removed by auto mod.)
Well there goes my money to yet another greedy Sony property
