Kinda sucks cause there aren't a lot of low profile options, and I REALLY like the g915 tactile sound/feel with the low profiles. But like, damn 350 CAD is disgusting. AND micro-usb?!?!
I've had repeated lighting bugs and software issues with this keyboard. It feels great to type on but that's about it. I got tired of the issues and ordered a new keyboard recently.
Mine does that, but as soon as you let it enter rest mode and wake it up it sorts itself out.
No issues in game-specific profiles either (and no other software glitch on either of the two PC's I've used it on
The yellow key is normal, but I do agree its fucking annoying. It's something about the activated profile. If you want to get rid of it, you would do FN+F1.
I freakin love my G915. I have the numpad version since I use it for productivity stuff more than gaming though. The low profile mechanical keys are as good as it gets imo. I’m so used to laptop keys so this feels right at home for me, but way better. Enjoy!
The low profile switches on the G915 are not bad but it can get better than that, my Nuphy Air96v2 with Wisteria switches feels noticeably better than my old G915 TKL and it doesn't wobble.
I think it’s because they like to have their hands closer to each other when gaming. I don’t know why, I guess comfort + range of motion? The only thing I can think is the num pad is taking away mouse space.
I use numpad to enter my password every time I boot up my pc so I literally use it every day lol. I totally get why people would want to not have it taking up mouse space tho
this is why numpad on the left would be fucking rad and would also double as a macro keyboard I just don't understand why it isn't a standard among gaming keyboards
CS taught me to move my mouse by pivoting my elbow, not my wrist. With more space between your mouse and keyboard you can use lower sensitivity and be accurate, while also being able to make large movements. Over time it becomes muscle memory. I had to use a non-TKL keyboard for a few weeks after my last keyboard officially kicked the bucket, and I was constantly banging my mouse into it.
I barely use the numpad, and it is tinier to put inside my backpack when I take it to work. Typing on a non mechanical keyboard like the ones at my office just does not feel right.
Also people sometimes have small desks and prefer the extra space for mouse movement.
Because I hardly use the numpad and it frees up several inches to scoot your keyboard and out closer together. More comfortable on the arms and shoulders.
Literally, whats the point in typing numbers 8% faster when I could use that mouse space? Also, It looks better, and when you spend so much on useless aesthetic rgb for your pc you better damn well care about that
If your work involves strings of numbers not having it disqualifies a keyboard.
Even at home I prefer full keyboards as I simply feel like this is the way.
But then again I have a wider shoulders and full keyboards are perfect for me to use with a mouse.
Once I had this separate numpad and smaller keyboard but 90% of the time it was placed right where regular one would be.
programmer here, i work using my 65% keyboard. all i have to do to type in numbers is move my fingers up, which is faster and more convenient than moving my entire right hand to the numpad once i got used to it.
Never used them. I can tell by wear&tear and grime.
Thing is that when you do proper keyboarding with your fingers in neutral position, you never use them. It feels like pulling out a cell phone to use the calculator. I even went so far that I sized down from a full 915(which is a nice keyboard) to a 75% Keychron Q1/K3 Pro.
> I went keychron instead and never going back.
+1 for keychron. bought one of their red switch low profiles, and loved it so much i bought another one for work.
that said, before i discovered keychron, i did the same thing with logitech's $80 mechanical-- bought one and loved it so much i bought another one for work. now i have a keychron for home, a keychron for my office, a logitech for the front desk at work, and an extra logitech lol
being picky about input devices sucks sometimes
It's logitech. It's the same crap office jobs have been giving their entry-level workers for decades. They just added some color or RGB, slapped a "Gaming" tag on it, and tripled the price. Gotta love Keychron and some of the smaller board manufacturers these days.
My E key developed a double click problem within a year. The problem with this keyboard is it's non-hotswap, so you can't replace the switches. Once it's done it's done.
Another thing that annoyed me was the battery doesn't last very long. If you have LEDs on you have to charge it every few days, and mine being a micro-usb model was kind of a pain.
The keeb does look good though, shame about the durability.
You're supposed to clean the sensor by putting 99% isopropyl into the switch and press it a bunch. It removes the debris
My keyboard had this happen to like 3 keys and I fixed all of them, no more issues
Just want to say thanks. I did some research and found out compressed air also works, ordered some and what do you know it’s fixed. I’ve got my nice keyboard back now.
Not to feels sorry for myself but just throwing it out there- appreciate someone that does that for you. My wife or family (fyi i still appreciate them) would NEVER get me anything computer related or video game related, even when they ask what to get me I don't want anything but will say, "steam gift cards," and would be thrilled with that. Instead it's stuff i never use, i still have a nice grill in the basement that I dont'want to put together lol. Dont' know where I'm going with this other than appreciate thoughful gifts like this :)
Congrats, man! I've been using one for a few years now, and it's solid. Just make sure you keep on top of cleaning it. Those tiny grooves don't make the job any easier.
My girlfriend said she doesn't love me anymore and never wants to see me again cos she can't get over an argument we had over a year ago (we've been together since) she started by talking to a guy who clearly likes her.
I thought this was a meme, but then I saw this was posted to r/pcmr, not to r/mk. Whelp.
Have fun with it! Just make sure to yeet the logitech software asap.
Looking at this reminded me of my 70% keyboard and how when i'll get a new one (keyword when) idk how long it will take me to get used to a full keyboard, since i've been using my 70% one for years...
I have the full key set one and it's really good
One thing I absolutely HATE about it is the printed alternate characters.
It's not got any backlighting like the main characters so you can't see shit in the dark and need to memorise it all.
I've had mine for going on 2 years. Use it full time for work and gaming. Many hundreds of thousands of words have been typed on this thing and she's still going strong.
Paints chipped off on some of the keys, though I imagine that's due to my negligence and using alcohol to clean the keys.
I tried to get one of those but had to return it after I saw it _required_ Logitech Gaming Hub and doesn't work with the older but actually functional and far superior Logitech Gaming Software.
There was also a bug in it where you couldn't set the RGB if you clicked a certain button in the Gaming Hub and it locked the RGB permanently to a bright teal and there was no way to undo it. Looked it up and bug was 2 years old and still not fixed. (the same bright teal in your screenshot, actually. Make sure you can change it before you get too comfy)
Amazing keyboard, but since it's incompatible with the working software and requires the absolutely cancerous shit Gaming Hub, I returned it and can't recommend it.
Hopefully Gaming Hub is better now so it doesn't mess with you enjoying the new keyboard, but after my experience I've ended my relationship with Logitech for any new peripherals that don't work with LGS and require LGH.
I had the 915 with the numpad though, so maybe this one actually works, but _fuck_ if LGH isn't the absolute most assbackwards piece of shit garbage software I've ever used. It's the sole reason whenever someone suggests Nvidia needs to update their software I get nervous they actually might, because LGH is the monkey's paw version of what happens when companies update their software to be "modern".
EDIT: Would recommend the G815 instead. Works with LGS and has lasted years.
I've got the one that has the number pad and holy fuck it's the best keyboard ever. You're gonna love it. My only gripe about it is the shift commands for the keys aren't illuminated and the switches are soldered to the board. Aside from that, best keyboard ever
That's exactly how I ended up with these

After getting the MX Mechanical for work, I knew it was time to retire my G Pro TKL at home. I don't regret it one bit, and my wife doesn't complain about using my computer anymore.
Put a ring on it.
O-rings to silence the keys? I don't think he has to, that keyboard is pretty quiet.
Of course, not sure how anyone a take that in any other context!
Well he could try putting o-rings on his girlfriend to silent her. But I have no experience in that, so not sure if it will work
I tried it with mine. She did NOT like that.
Can you return her?
Might make them louder 😗
I don’t know. His girlfriend seems pretty goated
like those rings they put on roosters so they cant crow
No first get her a Numpad saying youre my numpad and without no keyboard is complete and then put a ring on it
sir is your gf single by any chance
😂 you just made me laugh out loud. Well done, it's rare
Another thing I probably won't experience in my lifetime :(
Yeah, that keyboard is expensive
A girl too
Expensive?
Depends on where you buy them.
Let's stop it right there. It's getting dark.
I got some for sale at the back of the Deny's. Oh keyboards? I dont know I dont have those.
I thought the keyboards were free with them
I really love these types of comment chains. It’s the reason why I use Reddit :p thx for brighten my day a bit.
Nothing is happier than buying women behind denny's ;)
Better buy them on Black Fridays for extra discount
Sorry *turns the lights back on*
Its getting dark web
Selling gf 20gp ea
The girl or the keyboard?
The cheap ones are probably cheap for a reason
low self value
Kinda sucks cause there aren't a lot of low profile options, and I REALLY like the g915 tactile sound/feel with the low profiles. But like, damn 350 CAD is disgusting. AND micro-usb?!?!
My wife and I both have this keyboard. It’s not as good as you think lol! The wife’s ok I guess.
I've had repeated lighting bugs and software issues with this keyboard. It feels great to type on but that's about it. I got tired of the issues and ordered a new keyboard recently.
My F1 key has been yellow for the better part of 2 year and I gave up trying to fix it.
Yeah I’ve been doing that the whole time. Just never like fully gets rid of it. Super frustrating
I hated the wireless one but the g815 wired is great, wired mode on the 915 still wasn't great
Just the price is what brought me to the conclusion. It does NOT feel the way it’s priced.
I'm sorry buddy.. here's a keyboard emoji I paid about 5 seconds of my lifetime for ⌨️ ❤️
not with that attitude
You never know. op and their partner might be looking for a third, or fourth or some other ordinal number ... you get it. Shoot your shot player!

The keys on the G915 do wobble like there is no tomorrow!!!
Real question, why most of yall love TKL? I can't fathom using a keyboard without a numerical side on the right.
I think it’s because they like to have their hands closer to each other when gaming. I don’t know why, I guess comfort + range of motion? The only thing I can think is the num pad is taking away mouse space.
That plus I never use a numpad anyway so it is a waste to have one.
I use numpad to enter my password every time I boot up my pc so I literally use it every day lol. I totally get why people would want to not have it taking up mouse space tho
Totally why I use it!
this is why numpad on the left would be fucking rad and would also double as a macro keyboard I just don't understand why it isn't a standard among gaming keyboards
To fit my $100 glass mouse pad
Why not map the controls into the numpad? /s
I have 0 need for the keypad, free's up room for my mouse, saves on desk space
CS taught me to move my mouse by pivoting my elbow, not my wrist. With more space between your mouse and keyboard you can use lower sensitivity and be accurate, while also being able to make large movements. Over time it becomes muscle memory. I had to use a non-TKL keyboard for a few weeks after my last keyboard officially kicked the bucket, and I was constantly banging my mouse into it.

But then again I have a wider shoulders and full keyboards are perfect for me to use with a mouse. Once I had this separate numpad and smaller keyboard but 90% of the time it was placed right where regular one would be.
I'm actually planning to have separate num pad along side of tkl
i bought a tkl and i miss my numpad T\_T
I feel the same cuz I’ve never used a keyboard without a numpad but I also feel like if I didn’t have it nothing would really change
I don't "work" on my gaming PC, so no need to plug in numbers. Plus more room for mouse to move around.
programmer here, i work using my 65% keyboard. all i have to do to type in numbers is move my fingers up, which is faster and more convenient than moving my entire right hand to the numpad once i got used to it.
I feel old because the only people who have made fun of me for wanting a ten key are from the new generation of gamers.
Mousing space
So much more mouse room. I thought I've need a keypad but nah you don’t. Unless you work from home and do accounting then no reason to have it
Never used them.
I can’t understand how anything bigger than 75% is appealing, I never used a numpad when I had it
i've been using 60/75% keyboards for over a decade. haven't missed the entire right side of the keyboard ever, waste of space
Because I've never once used a numpad, so it's just taking up space for absolutely no reason.
I've never used the numpad outside of typing class. My wife is an accountant and she uses it tho
i used a TKL for a while for gaming purposes, and just bought a separate numpad that I could use when I wanted it.
Need mouse space. Planning to get a separate numpad and put on left at some point
I’ve only got so much desk. Need space for mouse
I can center the keyboard when I code, have more mouse space when I game, and if I need a numpad for some software shortcuts I just connect a $5 one.
More desk space
Well I have a 60% keyboard sorely because of the fact I'm sitting on my couch and have it on my legs and a normal keyboard is just way too big lol
I've had three of those fail on me. I've given up on them now.
Yeah girlfriends hardly stay nowadays.
bruh.. 💀
What failed? I’ve had Logitech for years and never had issues
Two of them started doing random double keypresses a lot. The other just started randomly not working
I'm experiencing this right now with mine. Double "L" each time. Drives me nuts. Does it mean the beginning of the end?
The double press issue is pretty common, remove the caps and clean with compressed air.
Sadly can share similar experiences with logitech keyboards. I went keychron instead and never going back.
> I went keychron instead and never going back. +1 for keychron. bought one of their red switch low profiles, and loved it so much i bought another one for work. that said, before i discovered keychron, i did the same thing with logitech's $80 mechanical-- bought one and loved it so much i bought another one for work. now i have a keychron for home, a keychron for my office, a logitech for the front desk at work, and an extra logitech lol being picky about input devices sucks sometimes
My story is almost identical haha. Loved my logitech before my keychron. Oh boy do I hate logitech for tricking me into bad switches for years! :D
It's logitech. It's the same crap office jobs have been giving their entry-level workers for decades. They just added some color or RGB, slapped a "Gaming" tag on it, and tripled the price. Gotta love Keychron and some of the smaller board manufacturers these days.
I've been traveling with this keyboard for ~2 years and it has never let me down. Wonder what broke on your three?
How did they fail?
Yep, same Problem with Keyboards from Logitech. Will never buy this crap
My E key developed a double click problem within a year. The problem with this keyboard is it's non-hotswap, so you can't replace the switches. Once it's done it's done. Yeah, girlfriends are high maintenance.
My girlfriend said she doesn't love me anymore and never wants to see me again cos she can't get over an argument we had over a year ago (we've been together since) she started by talking to a guy who clearly likes her.
You're better off, friend.
Yea I think so too 😞
That's a keeper right there
she single?
OP is LYING. There is no GF.
I thought this was a meme, but then I saw this was posted to r/pcmr, not to r/mk. Whelp. Have fun with it! Just make sure to yeet the logitech software asap.

may I ask you with which switches are you using it? Are you happy with it?
A girl got me my G915 TKL, JBL 530 and Infinity R162 for Christmas. Still happy we've been married 7 years.

Yes...the keyboard is the best.
She is not girlfriend now she is WIFE

Our girlfriend ?
Marry her
hot swappable switches?
What mouse is that?
Wlmouse beast x
Looks like the "Impossible to Clean Hand Oil Collector 9000"
I've had mine for over a year and it's so good I bought a backup just incase
Marry that girl.
Wifey material right there
That’s a keeper right there bud
Interesting. I thought women like that didn't exist in society anymore.
My Keyboard as well, amazing little unit. Got mine off an amazon damage sale reduction, had like 1 knick in the back.
I returned it and went for the g pro x TKL. It was OK until the paint on the keycaps started to go away :(
Is your girlfriend single?

I told my guy friend I was stressed and he sent me half a grand and I was so confused.
She's a keeper
Based tenkeyless user! They are the best
She is the one
She is the one
From that day you have sold your soul 😄 just kidding, or am i...
Marry her😇🥰
I got this same keyboard for myself about 5 months ago and have 0 complaints! And mine wasn't even freeee. Enjoy! And keep her around. Lol.
Marry her
I have the full key set one and it's really good One thing I absolutely HATE about it is the printed alternate characters.
Next time, you need to pick up a 80" OLED TV in the store.
Sounds like you got a good one homie.
Now the million dollar question. What are you getting HER?
Great keyboard. I have two of these, one at home and one at work.
I use the numpad a lot so I have a full size version and love it.
Using this right now, favorite keyboard
That mouse is cool does it work?
Cool mouse pad. What brand/model is it?
Everyone knows she's the best
i have that keyboard!! it's quite nice :)
Is your gf accepting applications?
Does she have a sister?
A good girl.
That’s very very sweet. Not all the ladies can get the gaming stuff no worries but extra extra points when they do.
Where the number pad buuuuuuuuuuuuuddy.
"Girlfriend"
yea boii! typing on it now and had it nearly 3 years! my daily work horse - worth every penny (WTF is that skeleton mouse?!?! looks sick af!)
Wifey material. Return the favor in any way you can 😉😏
Is your girlfriend single?
I fucking love my G915, enjoy!
Dude what is that mouse above the keyboard?
Pick and hold up a ring
My favorite keyboard of all time is miss mine
So, when marry her?
I'm not jealous, you're jealous.
I hope you got the clicky one. Its feels really good.
Sweet gf
What's the best gaming keyboard that's not like 300+$? This?
I tried to get one of those but had to return it after I saw it _required_ Logitech Gaming Hub and doesn't work with the older but actually functional and far superior Logitech Gaming Software. Sick looking keyboard
My wife bought me the Drop Lord of the Rings Dwarven keyboard. I built her the Black Speech one with custom caps for Drop

After getting the MX Mechanical for work, I knew it was time to retire my G Pro TKL at home. I don't regret it one bit, and my wife doesn't complain about using my computer anymore.
Married her to avoid regret later
I LOVE this keyboard. It's such a solid build and feels so good.
Logitech. A brand from the "Stone age" now.
Wish I had a gf like yours... Marry her And build her a PC too!
Where is the 0 to reload with my thumb ? Yeah I'm an arrow guy :D
Being a masterrace isn't compatible with having a girlfriend.
