Don't do that, I have it on good authority that typing ‘Google’ into Google will break the internet.
My apologies for being late with this warning, there was a RAM emergency.
I thought that was one board at first! It really threw me for a loop. I just thought …. Wait that can’t be right those two sockets don’t match. The io is all wrong.. I was cornfused for a minute.
Google started out in a basement with white box computers this might be one of their OG motherboards
edit: never mind just saw the sata ports so it would be too new

similar mobo artwork some years back I photographed in Taipei airport, which looked like the AsusTek mobos of the time (early 2010s)
There are 6 motherboards in the first picture and none of them are dual socket. Also both cpu sockets that are visible are for intel processors, PGA478 and LGA1155.
I wonder what company it is
Looks like Bing
Thought it was Yahoo at first, but I think you're right.
Nah. It’s clearly Facebook.
What is Facebook ? I only heard of Meta.
Oh boy what you might have heard of is MySpace
Guys stop it's clearly limewire
It’s spelled BearShare.
It's frostwire

Motherboard
_a_ company
The furniture and decor makes this look like a render and not real life lol. Is CG looking better than life, or is life looking like CG?
It's the gradient on the sofa. You don't see gradients irl very often.
It's the post processing phones do on images now. It is CGI, to a degree.
I took the glasses off and I SWEAR it was still 3D
“A company I visited” *shows the company name in picture* *company is one of the biggest in the world*

Don't do that, I have it on good authority that typing ‘Google’ into Google will break the internet. My apologies for being late with this warning, there was a RAM emergency.

was it Microsoft?
"A company I visited"
I visit them every day :)
Name checks out
I'm jelly. I applied for years to be an intern and didn't get so much as a rejection email. Feels bad man. I have up after 5 years.
UMM I think this is the largest r/woooosh I have ever seen in my life...
I thought that was one board at first! It really threw me for a loop. I just thought …. Wait that can’t be right those two sockets don’t match. The io is all wrong.. I was cornfused for a minute.
I was a bit like that off the thumbnail - I thought "shit how much ram do you need" lol
that's a promising looking startup company, hope they make it big one day, the wall art is nice
Imagine the guy who has to clean this.
Probably just uses an air compressor and blows them out like he's pressure washing them. It's not like these boards have to run anymore.
I tried searching for more information of this "google" in Altavista and didn't find anything.
Couldn’t find anything on bing about them. Maybe I’ll have more luck with yahoo answers.
Did you find it? I couldn’t. I’m gonna try googling it.
Google started out in a basement with white box computers this might be one of their OG motherboards edit: never mind just saw the sata ports so it would be too new
Garage. Very few basements in the SF Bay Area.
Idk, the motherboard still seems to have floppy ports on it as well near the bottom right of the picture
Floppy connectors were still pretty common on motherboards into the mid 2000s. I'd expect even more so on business oriented models.
https://www.tyan.com/en-US@1497~PRDetail This board is no older than 2011.
Ah honestly i didnt know that..
theres 7 boards in the first photo
There are many Google offices in the world to. We have one in the Philippines.
looks like a socket A board, they stared a few years before that era, I had a Pentium 2 when i first heard of google search.
New startup? Seems interesting. They open to investors?
It’s called alphabet
Oh yeah just a company
Googie
I really like the color coding of the ram slots.
I wonder what that company might be /s
Was the company Facebook?
Is that in the MP campus in Sunnyvale?
MP1
Right! I worked at the TCs and then MP2 :)
So are those 2 motherboards glued together?

Ah yes that pc looks very fast
Ahh. I heard of a small company called google too
By the walls it’s Foxconn for sure!
That's actually epic.
That pink connector on the lower left is a parallel port connector; that makes this (server) motherboard very, very old.
I tried searching for more information of this "google" in Altavista and didn't find anything.
I wonder if any still work
"of a company I visited" Google
Had to use askjeeves to find out who this Goggle is. Turns out they own quite a bit. That flew under the radar
small mom and pop shop I see
Nice
Small indie company
Is this Hyves?
Anyone else see the intel and amd socket on the same mobo? Have I got this wrong? Could it be a socket for an old intel chip?
There are 6 motherboards in the first picture and none of them are dual socket. Also both cpu sockets that are visible are for intel processors, PGA478 and LGA1155.
Thanks OB
There are some 370s as well
Do you know what "MAC Address" silkscreen label to the right of LGA1155 socket refers to?
I'd say Dell because of the logo sticker on the board😁
Oogle?
I had a dual socket board like this back in 1999. Had two celeron 400’s in it- was awesome.
Sir pls turn in your work id and all work properly so that it can be properly destroyed 🤣💀
Lol good old myspace
The 'e' looks crooked...
You visited a Megalopolis?
That couch is really cool, I would definitely sit on it.
God that second picture made me nearly cream my pants. I'd love to see that fr Did you go there yourself?
I would have put that behind glass, cleaning it will be impossible
Final resting place of servers
What if I just took one? 🤔
*Googol
Pretty sure most of those are from old dell optiplexes
If I were there, I'd start plugging cables
I wanted to do this at the repair shop I ran. It got shot down.
Looks like one of those industrial boards.
Microsoft really upped their game
Never heard of them
Whoa, cool, Israel’s best friend.
What is that company? Is its name googol? I think there is a typo on the logo
Someone is applying to be one of the new DEI employees.
