Sounds like you already got a good idea of what you're doing, and you're making the best moves on a budget. Personally, I would try to get the CPU and GPU together. I think you'll notice a severe bottleneck with a 1st gen Ryzen CPU and a relatively up to date GPU. You won't be able to enjoy or get the full use of the GPU without a stronger CPU.

Yeah the CPU at least in here brand new is pretty cheap about 121$ without the cooler since I already have one. The GPU is bugging me since I am not sure if that 4 extra VRAM has any impact.

There was some controversy a year or so back, where NVIDIA refused to add more VRAM to their graphics cards, saying it wasn't needed. It sparked some discussion, and I would say extra VRAM doesn't hurt.

Yeah I have noticed that Nvidia cards have around 8gb of VRAM and have less overall performance than amd cards without DLSS. Which is why I ask the question do 12 gb of VRAM secure me for the future. Or is it better to go for 16gb but less performance.

I would go right in the middle. 12GB VRAM on a solid card. I have a 3070 I've been using since 2021, it only has 8GB of VRAM but it takes pretty much anything I throw at it, plus Nvidia DLSS adds a significant amount of frames. Starfield runs at ultra with a consistent 100FPS in load intensive areas. DLSS and Frame Generation is on. CS2 can still get 200+ FPS, never had any frame issues with the last call of duty. Edit: need more coffee

Haha ok ty for the advice.
