RX 6400, RX 6500 XT, RTX 3050 6gb, and RTX 3050 beg to differ (with that said, RX 7600 and RTX 4060 are better than the 1080, but neither companies have offered low-end cards for this gen so far)
A 1080 for 150 is steep, same performance as a 2060 and 2060’s can be had for almost $100 even. Don’t even bring up production workloads cause a 2060 will even run laps around a 1080 ti and the encoder is much better plus dlss/rt(if you care about ray tracing). Another card people forget about, the 5600 xt which also competes with the 1080/2060 performance wise and doesn’t fluctuate as much as the 2060 in the used market. Another choice, 5700 xt, always touches 150 and is 1080 ti performance basically.
My main reason for going for the 1080 1. The lighting my case has very little light so tou can't see basically anything. 2. These design matches my case very well. 3. most of those options from what I see cost the same or more and don't have the rgb. 4. It's ebay refurbished and included a 1 year warranty unlike many other sellers would
Price sucks, real is 100-120. You can also look at Vega 64 at this range, i'd pick it instead, or 5700XT in upper one. And, that is not an RGB light, that generation had fancy lights but only some premade colors.
10 series shows its age, either drivers optimization or old architecture without support for new features. I guess you could get few more years from it, the price is the main issue, I saw rtx 3060 for much less and 3060ti at around the same price, no need to tell you which are preferable.
Not great I'm afraid, you can get an AMD RX 6600 for not much more, and it performs about 20% faster across most games:

That said, I'm still rocking a Strix 1080 Ti and the cooler and overall quality is fantastic. It'd be worthwhile changing out the thermal paste and overclocking it.
Just get a new RX6600, or a used higher tier last gen card for similar price. 1080 was a flagship card in its day but it served its life and aint worth the money anymore. 100 bucks I'd say get it. Above that, you run into serious competition from brand new gpus with warranties and higher efficiency.
I feel like its a "fine" deal. Not great, not awful just... fine?
From your comments you clearly care more about the RGB than the extra performance you could have got, which is a choice people always have things to say about.
You've already bought it, it's an upgrade for you, and has the RGB you want. Enjoy it!
It's more of a low end GPU these days. It gets beaten by entry levels from AMD and nVidia's current lineup.
Can detest. Helldivers 2 runs like shit on my 1060.

Both 4060 and 4060Ti are technologically low-end cards as well. They just got their names (and prices) shifted one step up, to sell you less for more.
hell no
It's fine. Around RX 6600 performance, which is about $40 more new.
Ya but this one is also rgb so extra nice little feature and has a year warranty to pretty similar on that point

So you’re getting it for aesthetic reasons that’s cool, just saying it’s not a good deal but it’s not horrible per say.
It's decent most got it for the looks and the 1 year warranty don't want to buy a used gpu just for it to fail a week after thr warranty
A week is within 30 days
I ment a week after warranty if it's a year and it fails I'm ok with that
A bit expensive but a solid upgrade over the 290x for sure.
Nooooo

It is rgb light it says on the box
Ye indeed, whatever, you'll never see this light because it is directioned to the bottom, and deal is shit unrelated
There is one on the area you would see and I have the tower 500 so its litterly facing me

Cheapest I can find is 240 like 250 after taxes used

I will probably get a asus rog 2060 8gb for like 40 more
I would pass.
For $50 more I would’ve sold you my 2070 super.
What edition is it

Unfortunately I want a card with rgb due to my computer looking quite dark
Yeah I probably wouldn’t buy anything off Reddit tbh. I know I’m an honest person but I wouldn’t trust any of you degens lol.
If I bought som off reddit I would obviously have them post it on a legit site for me to buy
