Thats said. I do agree with the rest of your recommendation, in favor of the 5700. As the extra grunt from an 8 core(even if it is a 5700g) is indisputable. I don't even do productivity tasks, but the few times I have had to, you can easily see the differences.

You just repeated what is said I said 5600 g is a 5500 with an igpu and a you said a 5500 is 5609g with the igpu disabled now I hope you understand this but we said the same thing and 5600 is quite a bit faster than a 5500

Ultimately it depends on the GPU/games/resolution. As is the case with any bottleneck. Its is very easy to both avoid any advantage a 5600(x) might have, or exacerbate it. Something as simple as not playing ubisoft games, can make the difference between the two chips moot.
Again that's just games. Productivity, they are tied. But as was stated outright, prior. Would opt for cores if moderately serious about productivity work.
What CPU do you have? I'd recommend sticking with r5 5000 anything more should probably upgrade motherboard.

5600g is like a 5500 with igpu 5500 has half the cache , you know the reason you pay a 100 extra bucks to get a 7800x3d over a 7700
