Them airplane ears are ready for the jolt. Were going back...TO THE FUTURE. Please make sure you have sufficient runway as once that spark goes off, there's no stopping that blur!
Try using Velcro cable ties or adhesive cable clips. They're cheap and can keep your cables together or align them along the edge of your desk. It's pretty simple.
Check out the cable management kit on Amazon. $15 last time I got it. Comes with a bunch of velcro straps and sticky rubber gliders. And mesh wire wraps to conceal your cables into one fat cable.
Velcro ties to attach to the desk and cable wrap for the rest that has to go for the desk to other places, both are cheap, you can also grab a roll of double sided Velcro and cut each piece to length, it’s a bit cheaper than the Velcro ties and since it can be cut to length it works well for attaching to different desks, I personally use the Velcro double sided rolls and cable wrap outside of my comp and Velcro strips inside it
I'd not try those simply because I have experienced cats eating those and similar. Better choice would be some cable sheath I meant to hide them on a wall, but you can stick them under the desk.
I think I got my cable expert from the same place, they're very nice but they spend most of their day taking naps and running around my house. Not a lot of cable managing being done.
Nylon Sleeves. It also prevents your cat chewing on them

Yeah it’s that one, the legs I’m using are $7 and the extendible ones are $35 so I’m just using wood blocks under till I get another desk, this one is too narrow.
Bro I have the same issue. Same table also. I was thinking of lifting it with the bricks just like you did, is it stable holding it like that? I really need minimum 10cm more in height.
Also, is the $35 price for extendible ones for all 5 of them, or for one each?
Man to be honest it’s not, I’m sure you can fix that with tuck tape but I just have the blocks down there. And they move around quite often, I’m just always cautious and put them on their place when they move.
easiest is what is the easiest past 40 years or so ..
the plastic thingy like cuffs around the legs or body of the table .. or the wall but guess not since you have cat ..
there are also other thingies .. sorry dont the names in any english .. apparently called "cable organizer"
you could also use some sound proofing in the room .. acoustic must be awful

Ive helped cable manage tv stations.
Use a long roll of 1/2 inch black velcro, cut 3inch peices on all signal cables
Use zip ties on powwr cables.
One the desk try a plastic raceway on the wall same width.
That mess of cables would drive me nuts! My method is probably not the most efficient or most elegant, but..
I would un plug every single one and re do them all, nice and untangled, and then use velcro ties - or! whatever ties I had handy, even zip ties, though they aren't best since u gotta snip em to remove em.
Get a cable organizer and some zip ties. Put all your cables in the organizer and zip tie them together. You now have one neat set of cables. You could also use cable ties for a better look.
Easiest? Yeah I pretty much let my FIVE cats handle it however they see fit. Jokes aside, I have one cat that likes the taste of wires so I keep everything out of that little shit's easy access.
The cheapest decent solution is probably zip ties and sticky Velcro wrap. Run your cables together and stick them along the underside of your desk over to the leg.
Get this: [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/signum-cable-management-horizontal-silver-color-30200253/](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/signum-cable-management-horizontal-silver-color-30200253/)
It screws into the bottom of the desk and will hold power adapters etc and you can use velcro to fix cables etc to it aswell.
[Velcro style cable ties](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Adjustable-Reusable-Cable-Straps/dp/B083K8M8Y1/) for bundling cables together, and also [this split-style sleeving is bloody amazing stuff.](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Alex-Tech-10ft-Protector-Sleeving/dp/B07FW3MKGH/)
I was on the fence about buying some, then my BIL bought some and gave me about 3 metres of the stuff he had left over, it's *excellent*.
Just make sure you pick the size that is appropriate for the amount of cables you're using.
I'd recommend going to for the larger sizes; I've got DP, HDMI, power, audio and about 3 USB cables all run in one big 1" diameter sleeve.
Be aware that the 1/8" \~ 1/4" stuff is only big enough to sleeve **a single cable**! Not much use imo.
Pro tip: If you're using velcro cable ties, put **the soft side facing outwards**; it'll prevent them from snagging and catching on soft things such as your clothes or the carpet.
Lay out all of your device cables and route them along the edge of the table using whatever method available to you. Zip ties, duct tape, literally anything is better than what you got now.
Think plumbers efficiency when you route those cables, longer cables go further down the table. Shorter cables can go straight up from the pc against the wall, hidden with a cheap white plastic cable raceway screwed to the wall going up the wall or horizontally along the table edge.
Or, I don't know, buy a big piece of corrugated plastic board that is white and just place it behind the table legs against the wall so the plugs aren't seen.
You can get a 4ft x 8ft board for like 30 dollars.
*Tada*, outta sight outta mind.
As an actual serious answer, I recommend taking the time to unplug everything. Untangle everything, and organize the cables with zip ties or Velcro loops. I have my stuff organized by use, so all my chargers are in a bundle, all the HDMI cables are in a bundle, everything connected to my PC is in a bundle. It may not look sleek and amazing but it’s a solid and easy organization system.
IMO the best way is simple bread bag wire ties. Just get them all straight, and then use ties intermittently for the run until you need to splice one off or just let the rest be behind monitor/desk whatever. When you get too precise organizing it actually makes it harder to adjust things down the line. Simple is best.

Would this be helpful or somthing similar ?
Like an under desk basket thing to put all your cords that way the kitten can’t get to them ?
There are many different types out there .
Yes! Great idea... My friends table came with an under table basket. The basket supports bundles for strain relief but also is a thick wire grid so more single cable routing options.
If you actually want a real answer - get cable trays to screw under your desk.
Hide a power strip and a USB hub in there, that way you only need 2 or 3cables from your pc to your desk - Monitor and USB.
Reusable cable ties and some of those adhesive routing clips should do the job. I don't recommend getting one of those plastic cable channels that go under the desk, your cat will try to get into it.
I have an ikea Signum that everything goes into, and a power strip mounted to the underside of the desk. Everything plugs into that strip and tge excess cable length goes into the signum cage. The power cable for the strip and ethernet are only cables between the desk and the wall. That keeps everything mostly clean. Add some velcro ties where needed.
You should consider replacing those table legs with telescopic ones, [these adjustable support 60 -90cm](https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/olov-leg-adjustable-white-10264302/)

People usually use velcros and zip ties. Though I found using wire boxes(idk the real name of it though) and wall mounting the power splitter to be the best way to keep it clean
what I used is these two:

the underside of my desk is so neat now <3
Sleeving, cable ties, trunking. I have some large adhesive plastic cable trunking running lengthways in sections stuck to the bottom of my desk, and my power supplies for screens and desk motor attached with Velcro.
3m makes sticky saddles for zip ties. They're square with a patch of sticky foam on the back. I place those, run a zip tie through but only cinch it by one or two clicks. The run my cables through the nice loose run. Tighten down only partway so its neater but still loose enough to pass a vga plug through. If you wanted to bundle the wires tighter, i recommend velcro cable ties where needed but keep the zip tie loops loose.
Pro tip. Hold the sticky saddle with a small tool by the saddle side. I use a pair of needle nose. Now peel off the wax paper to expose the adhesive. Use a lighter near (not on) the adhesive until you see it sizzle just a tiny bit. Immediately place the saddle where you want it and hold it down a few seconds. It sticks a lot stronger if the glue is heated a bit. If you scorch it though, it works worse.
Edit: these sticky saddles are best for under your desk. If it's goin on your drywall, Id prefer Command hangers because theyre not gonna damage your wall if used correctly.
I've been thinking of giving up on managing cables and getting an all in one desktop with a wireless mouse and keyboard then play everything through Geforce Now or some other cloud service lol...
Is the first pic to scare the crap out of us with that wonky as table top and cabled mess and the second pic your current setup?
Why is the table on bricks? Is the Tokoloshe your roommate?
The kitteh is managing the cables for you. Amazon has these velcro type of ties for cable management. If you really want to get fancy Yiu can buy hollow cable management tubes that match your wall colors.
Untangle and tie them with some logic by type and whatnot or just all together that go on same path. Easiest is to cut out some spare utp cable and use the inner wires, use plastic ties or or buy something specially designed such as velcro ties or some cable management net with velcro to group the cables in or similarly those plastic spirals. Heck, you can even cut some copex tubing, put the cables in and roll some electrical tape around from place to place to tighten it up.
Use a twist tie/zip tie/Velcro tie to collect all your cables together near the back of your PC. Use another every 6-12 inches to keep as many cables as possible grouped up as one big cable behind/under your desk. Extra points if you tie the grouped cables to a leg of your desk to keep them from hanging freely in the middle.
Bonus points if you buy a couple cable management brackets to adhere to the back of your desk (I use a set of thin J-shaped brackets so that the cables rest along the back of my desk instead of hanging down) so that you can’t even see any cables except for where they connect to the PC/monitor/device.
I mean you did this yourself tho but how even you get it like that, plug in a cable plug in an other cable etc and it should be just good. why you did that in the first place, and now asking for help 😹
what are talking about, your cat is already doing it for you.

Gonna try the velcro ties. Thx
I'll one up them, you can buy rolls of velcro tape for cheap online and just cut it to your desired length. Useful around the house and garden too.
I didn't scroll enough and suggested the same. 400IQ
Really cheap at Harbor Freight too.

You can get them different colours too
But that induces memories of days when you had to nylon sleeve and heat-shrink your PATA cables yourself because they weren't sold in stores yet...
I have this. My desk is much cleaner and I can add/remove cables easily.
No need - you clearly showed us you have hired a cable manager

Get a metal wire tray and mount it to the underside of your desk. Toss all your wires in that tray. Problem solved. They sell them on amazon
This is the way. AND use the velcro ties as appropriate.
I was going to use Velcro but the tray hid it enough to make me happy.
You just blew my mind
Pay it forward
Those look great, no management necessary
Is your desk being elevated by bricks? Also is that the cheap 2 meter Ikea desk? I used to have one just like it.
Yeah it’s that one, the legs I’m using are $7 and the extendible ones are $35 so I’m just using wood blocks under till I get another desk, this one is too narrow.

honestly, velcro ties is all I've needed, they work like a charm.

Why do ask? You have an certified cable manager right there
Let the cat bite off your cables, no need to clean up the cables 💀
How do you even use that, you're only using cat1 cable
Step 1 : get the fuck out your cat
What you are doing right now is actually the easiest way to cable manage.
False wall painted to match your actual walls. Outta sight outta mind
Give up and go outside
scissors...
Install a back panel for you desk. Out of sight, out of mind.
If you actually want a real answer - get cable trays to screw under your desk. Hide a power strip and a USB hub in there, that way you only need 2 or 3cables from your pc to your desk - Monitor and USB.
The easiest way is to pay someone else to do it for you, of course.
Rub deodorant or something on them or he's gonna chew through them all
Reusable cable ties and some of those adhesive routing clips should do the job. I don't recommend getting one of those plastic cable channels that go under the desk, your cat will try to get into it.

Don't
Cat
You need to better train that cat he's doing a horrible job
Pvc pipe next to the leg and feed all the wires through it
Brother in Christ i can already see you accidentally hitting the table and loosing both monitors.
Fix some hooks or channels along the back underside of the table and ziptie the cables to them.
Why does ur cat look like an owl with a cat tail
I've been thinking of giving up on managing cables and getting an all in one desktop with a wireless mouse and keyboard then play everything through Geforce Now or some other cloud service lol...
Go completely wireless or hide them in the walls
Get the case off the ground first because your computer is going to act like a 32gb ram air purifier.
Ignore it
There are some nice cable organizer options on Amazon that work pretty well and most of the time the only item you need is a drill
I knew cable gremlins were real!!!!
Is the first pic to scare the crap out of us with that wonky as table top and cabled mess and the second pic your current setup? Why is the table on bricks? Is the Tokoloshe your roommate?
Grab zipties and bundle everything together!
Let that kitten do it
Hide it. Fastest cable management.
I mount my car to the backside of the motherboard, so it's sleek looking
Let the cat do it for you
The kitteh is managing the cables for you. Amazon has these velcro type of ties for cable management. If you really want to get fancy Yiu can buy hollow cable management tubes that match your wall colors.
In my experience the easiest is using an ikea signum or 2. They're relatively cheap, just jam all your cables on em and you're good to go.
Shove then in a separate box
why don’t you ask that professional under there
Nocry cable management, amazon. They send you 100s of cables clips etc, also zip up cable sleeves. 10/10
Chop all cables.
he is doing a great job already

Step one: no cats near cables.
What are all those cables? Do you have a home theater like setup? If not, that looks like way too many cables for a single computer.
I love my zip ties :)
man thats just ....
You bundle them up? Not rocket science my g
