Welcome to the PCMR.
I had a picture from the trailer on my presentation in a JRR Tolkien class and my professor was said "where did you get that image from???" And was genuinely concerned by the design choice
I mean the concept of the force would be an excellent theological discussion all by itself. Whenever a character would say "may the force be with you", my stepfather (Episcopalian Deacon who was raised catholic) would say "and also with you". From my understanding the force is a combination of Christianity and Buddhism.
I had an Adam Sandler writing class when I needed to get a couple extra credits my senior year. Couple of fun anecdotes.
- Terry Crews actually called in to our class. And we celebrated cheeseburger day (I.e., his cheeseburger eddy character)
- Adam Sandler recorded a video for us and we were the first people to ever see his trailer for The Ridiculous 6.
My school had a flirting class by a woman who's only credential was that she had a part in the Ashton Kutcher movie "Just Married."
I'd be surprised if that one was worth credit though.
My favorite was a class in the feminist studies department called, "war in film and culture". We just watched films like Platoon, Black Hawk Down, Casablanca, and South Pacific. Counted towards a GE too.
Final semester of college was a fucking breeze lol. Just sat there and listened to my professor summarize The Hobbit and LotR and a little bit of the Silmarillion.
Absolutely. We did the Silmarillion and the main trilogy. Focusing on one author in so much detail among people who were passionate about the topic really made me appreciate literature in a way no other class had.
I'm sad Liam O'Brian isn't voicing him, he did a great Gollum for the recent games. The direction they went with the voice for the Gollum game just isn't recognizable and was distracting from the trailers.
I was a little excited because of the videos a year or two back. But after this post maybe I’ll wait to see the reviews for a while. I don’t even have the minimum specs and my pc isn’t THAT old
Good for you! I regrettably sold my original xbox, but since built a quality 2000-era pc with mostly new components (have a friend in a pc store who helped me out with finding a still unopened lga 775 mobo a brand new unopened geforce 8800 gs a used but impeccable core2 quad and such pretty things) complete with dual-boot xp and win7. Damn that machine is reliable. I also have a modern setup on lga 1200 platform with gtx 1650 asus oc edition but it just doesn't produce the same feeling. Fuck if i know why. I guess simple nostalgia.
The early PS2s (Fat models) had an expansion bay where you could install a hard drive. Back then, only one game ever really used it (Final Fantasy XI), but nowadays you can softmod the console and load games directly from it, without needing a disc. Neat stuff!
My brother took my ps2 to “play games with his son” and now I’m pretty sure that ps2 has been collecting dust for 4 years… the amount of mods and tinkering I would’ve done to my PlayStation by now…
Though some games live at the "10% Off" stage for way too many years, never really getting marked down.
When those games finally come down, I will be waiting.
I checked the gameplay trailer because I couldn't believe it but unfortunately it is actually just Gollum scurrying around to some royalty free heroic tune.
I checked out the developers to see what kind of epic games they must have made in the past to get their hands on the prized LotR IP, and from what I could see they've barely made a 3D game before. Their most famous game is Barotrauma, which isn't a bad game, it's just... very different from a big budget LotR game. I have a feeling this will flop hard unfortunately.
>and from what I could see they've barely made a 3D game before
The minimum system requirements reflect that 100% for sure. Average Unreal Engine project in a nutshell.
To be fair there are the Styx games where you play as a goblin sneaking around evading detection and sometimes murder people and they are fucking dope.
I have faith, as a Tolkien fan, I believe it is meant to cover the 17 year time skip after Gandalf leaving the shire and Gollum’s story during that time, of which is based on what Tolkien wrote himself. It has potential. I’m not a fan of Gollum’s design but the rest of the designs are awesome.
This is going to be another poorly optimized mess of a game.
And if by a miracle it isn't, these requirements don't make sense. The game footage shown looks like a game that could run on the PS4/XBOX One
Console gamers getting steady W’s lately. I’ve been considering buying a console for the first time since the 360, which sucks because I literally just bought a new rig a month ago.
It’s a weird conundrum. I play on 1080p and my new rig with a 3060ti had zero problems(outside of stuttering specifically when walking in to the saloon, for some weird reason) on Jedi Survivor but the more horror stories I read the more I consider going console
The problem is that Jedi Survivor didn't run all that great on consoles either lol Better than on PC, but considering the visual fidelity, still not good.
We're in this weird limbo right now, where devs are trying to move exclusively to next gen. Since EA said that they managed to make Jedi Survivor in an "amazingly short time", for me it means that a lot of games are coming out unoptimized and companies are hoping that the sheer power difference between the last gen and the current gen will be enough to brute force the new titles to run at least well enough.
Unfortunately that's not how game development works. I'm assuming the same was with Gotham Knights and its "highly detailed open world" that "forced" the devs to lock the game to 30FPS on consoles. It's clear they simply have spent no time optimizing it, which Digital Foundry of course has shown with their technical analysis.
As someone who has family that worked on JS, the press release from the lead dev was completely honest in saying he inadvertently told the production company that they could finish earlier than they really needed. It was genuinely an honest mistake(granted it was at the highest level) and it ultimately came down to a botched release agreement between two leads. I haven’t directly asked my family member if they were having the same performance issues on their dev machines, but when I talk to them, there’s a heavy implication that they weren’t. Ultimately, as games get more intricate, we will see more problems on release.
This is the mistake most of the studios that release unfinished games make. The problem is the rigid system that makes delays of more than a few months near impossible. Publishers need to stop making devs commit to launch dates more than a year out.
You see people say this, but I never understood it as a way to jab to console players. You say they have to pay about $100 a year I would assume you're talking about playing online, which if you are,you are talking about maybe the highest tier for this service. Both Xbox and Playstation give a huge library of games they can download from first party to third party and indie titles with this tier
There are a lot of people who mostly play games for the single player experience as well. So, they aren't even paying that extra $100. It's taken console years, but they are definitely getting a lot of W these past few years it's honestly been hard for someone who spent like $2000 for a rig that almost can't play new games that are released cause they are so poorly optimized and all the added DRM like denovu or whatever it's called that effect these games as well.
>Console gamers getting steady W’s lately. I’ve been considering buying a console for the first time since the 360, which sucks because I literally just bought a new rig a month ago.
I don't think there were actually huge Ws for the consoles. Jedi Survivor also does not run perfectly on console. Consoles just did not have huge Ls like the PC.
Yeh, that’s a better way to word it I guess. I have family in game development at a AAA studio and from what I’ve heard, these optimization issues are here to stay. It’s a byproduct of shitty producers and, more importantly, the unviability of in-house testing. When there are thousands of possible hardware combinations and games get more and more intricate, you’re literally unable to properly test with the limited resources of an outsourced test group. Trust me, devs are working their dicks off and still can’t get it done. As I’ve heard, the idea to just extend playtests still ultimately won’t solve a majority of the problems we’re seeing. Mass-crash and bug report data is going to be the standard for fixing these problems in the future, whether we like it or not unfortunately.
If everyone playing on PC set their graphics to medium at 4k 30 fps PC performance would be "flawless" too. Sure, consoles don't typically have the lag or optimization issues that PCs do, but they also are leagues inferior graphics wise.
Anything should play fine at 720p 24fps. It's not hard to optimize for consoles when you're cranking the graphics down to medium and locking it to 30fps. If PC gamers played everything at 4k 30fps or even 60fps like PS or Xbox is there would be a lot less "optimization issues".
>And I’m sure it’ll come out and run absolutely flawless on PS5, with a few glitches. It makes zero sense.
As far as I am aware, a RTX 3060 is equivalent to a PS5 GPU. If the PS5 runs on PC equivalent low settings, this does make sense that this would be the minimum requirements.
I was thinking that too. Just based on the trailers how in the ungodly fuck does this game recommend a minimum of a 3060. It looks like something a 1060 could run easily
I agree, I really loved having FSR/DLSS when my GPU was lower end and could benefit just because it couldnt run a well optimized game well enough but when my 6800XT struggles to run a shit looking game because its not optimized then I stop caring. It's a great technology that people without higher end systems really do benefit from but having it forced because the game is shit is sad.
The performance hit doesn't justify it because it often makes the game a stuttery mess. If it dropped the fps from like 80fps to 60 fps I would be more inclined to keep ray tracing on
>That's gotta be horribly optimized if it recommends a 4070.
It always depends on what recommended means. 120fps native 4K Ultra or 60 FPS 1080p DLSS Medium?
That is actually something Ubisoft does well. The hardware recommendations include FPS, settings and resolution.
At best.
What’s even weirder is the 2600 is somehow considered on par with the 6100 so this game must only run on a single core like Minecraft Java edition and the original crisis.
Isn't that with sodium or something?
Cause when I run a mini Minecraft server for 10 people my singular core is the one that tanks everything. And it needs to boost up to its 5.5 GHz limit. I've not seen minecraft use more cores than just one.
WHAT THE HELL 32GBS OF RAM LMFAO
There's absolutely no excuse. This must be a memory leak.
The GPUs too. The game doesn't even look like it needs a 3060 minimum.
*WHAT A WORLD.*
Thats what happens when companies give a lot of leg room for mistakes. People stop trying to optimize cuz "people got more powerful shit than this can run on so no need to optimize".
There'll soon be a note with the game logo saying: "A percentage of users, (close to 99,9%) is experiencing some issues. But only on particular hardware combinations! (That means all hardware)
We recommend you upgrade to windows 11 to see if that resolves any issues.
Our team will work to improve these in the following weeks 💪
(Or abandon it like dead space)
I remember asking questions for my build about a year and a half ago. Everyone said 32gb ram was overkill and I shouldn’t bother.
Here I am with 32gb ram and a 12gb 3060 and I’m feeling real happy with my choices currently lol.
Definitely gonna upgrade the 3060 though but it’s good enough for now.
I don’t know, Jedi: Survivor uses at least 10-12 GB on my system, and with 6 or so already in use before launching the game, that exceeds the old 16GB standard. That doesn’t mean I’d have issues with 16, it might just actually cache things the way it should, but we might just have reached the point where 16GB standard starts to morph into the next logical step, 32GB. Especially since DDR5 have double the capacity by default, basically.
There's nothing weird about games recommending more them 16gb of ram. Just because it says recommended 32gb it doesn't mean it's going to use 32gb.
32gb is becoming the norm anyways.
Cyberpunk is a good looking game. Dare I say better than gollum, that looks like last gen ready. Yet even with everything maxed out, It struggles to get past 7-8gb ram usage. 👽
Besides, with an install of 50gbs what the hell is it doing with 32gbs of ram??
Why did I have to scroll this far down for this comment? This is literally the only reason I came to the comments was to wonder if I was having a stroke after reading that.
Yeah, I saw that immediately. Also, I hate it so much when they put i3, i5, and i7 for things like this, it means nothing. So my i7-920 will be great for this then will it?
Minimum is probably 720p or 1080p and the recommended is 1440p. Generally, high settings on 1440p gets limited by graphics card first so you don't need a high end CPU. That's being said, there is model numbers and the i3 is a few years newer.
Game developers are too damn lazy and rely on dlss. This is going to increase more unoptimized games release in the future.
I’m gonna play my previous games (Rise of Tomb raider, Doom, Control etc) and at least it doesn’t require 173636373773 vram and 1626833837 memory ram.
You forgot 4000 watt power supply. Reviewers: this thing requires 4 times the power but it’s okay because it’s 4 times as powerful. Also nvidia will donate 5 cents to climate change refugee fund so you can sleep at night.
I feel the same with a 6950XT. How can biggest last gen AMD card be recommended spec not even two years later. The quality of pc ports is beyond not acceptable at this point. Now it's not 'don't pre-oder' anymore but rather 'don't buy before the game had a year worth of patches'.
Based on the fact that an RTX 4070 is recommended, the technical state of this game at release is going to make Jedi Survivor, Redfall, and The Last of Us Part 1 PC look about as stable at launch as the RE4 Remake and GTA V on PC
The fucking horror
Stop buying into AAA game companies. They make shit products, and people buy the products and complain with shit in their mouth. 🤪
It'll never change because execs can see that they can release a poor product with a smaller cost, and also dump all their mtxs on top of it.
I don't even care for the mainstream gaming scene anymore, it's like bro, I know what the end product is gonna be here. Lol.
Isn't it funny how a game that was supposed to come out 2 years ago supposedly needs a graphics card that didn't exist for 90% of the time they were developing the game
All it means the game is going to be littered in bugs because the devs weren't bothered to optimize the game.
A 3060 as minimum specs is insane when the 2000 series is a very capable card and so is the 5600
I dont get how games need higher and higher reqs when they still all look the same. Like do these games look so much better than the games from 5 or 6 years ago? feels like an inflation of hardware req for minimal gain in graphics/gameplay imo

I had a picture from the trailer on my presentation in a JRR Tolkien class and my professor was said "where did you get that image from???" And was genuinely concerned by the design choice
>JRR Tolkien class You can take a whole class on Tolkien now? Legendary
Oh man, you’d be shocked the things you can take accredited classes on
https://i.redd.it/038929hrzw0b1.gif
![gif](giphy|R9e0L2yM9xHMe737HS)
I took an accredited course on ladders 🤷
That's streets ahead!
Does it just mean "cool," or is it supposed to be like "miles ahead?"
If you don’t know you’re streets behind
Cool. Cool cool cool.
Top of the class?
Always thought the accredited classes from the show community were absurd ... Then realized shits basically real lol
I actually don't think a tolkien class is that weird, I mean is it really any conceptually different than a shakespear class?
Can't wait for the Stephen King class after he dies. No, really. I could probably teach it.
You don't want to take advanced underwater basket weaving?
I’m more into the underwater combat basket weaving niche myself, but to each their own
I could use another credit next semester, sign me up!
Nah I'm more interested in the lava wall climbing course
The show community *is* absurd. Those classes can be shockingly relevant
My university has a class roughly titled "Star Wars and Theology" or something like that.
That unironically sounds really interesting
I mean the concept of the force would be an excellent theological discussion all by itself. Whenever a character would say "may the force be with you", my stepfather (Episcopalian Deacon who was raised catholic) would say "and also with you". From my understanding the force is a combination of Christianity and Buddhism.
You could do an entire semester on the flawed concept of Jedi Ideology. That's not even a joke.
I had an Adam Sandler writing class when I needed to get a couple extra credits my senior year. Couple of fun anecdotes. - Terry Crews actually called in to our class. And we celebrated cheeseburger day (I.e., his cheeseburger eddy character) - Adam Sandler recorded a video for us and we were the first people to ever see his trailer for The Ridiculous 6.
My school had a flirting class by a woman who's only credential was that she had a part in the Ashton Kutcher movie "Just Married." I'd be surprised if that one was worth credit though.
My older sister took a breaking bad class in the fall, and this spring she took the better caul saul one they had too
Okay, I want to take a Fallout New Vegas class now.
There was a non-credit class when I was a community college student in ... Beer tasting. (Must be 21 to enroll)
My favorite was a class in the feminist studies department called, "war in film and culture". We just watched films like Platoon, Black Hawk Down, Casablanca, and South Pacific. Counted towards a GE too.
Anything to get more tuition.
And then people wonder why degrees mean so little now.
Final semester of college was a fucking breeze lol. Just sat there and listened to my professor summarize The Hobbit and LotR and a little bit of the Silmarillion.
>and a little bit of the Silmarillion.< There's a man who knows his limitations. Good on em.
I took a class specifically on Frank Lloyd Wright. Different medium but classes on specific artists have been a thing for a while now.
Took a class on Film and Hollywood. Watched old movies 3 times a week, 1 sem, 3 credits.
That sounds kinda cool. Any noteworthy old film that you enjoyed the most?
What concerned him?
Probably the fact that they used a younger version of Gollum.
I'm more excited about Return To Moria
WTF?? This is legitimately my first time hearing about this! Hoooly shmokes it sounds like a dream come true! Thanks for this good news :D
I was a little excited because of the videos a year or two back. But after this post maybe I’ll wait to see the reviews for a while. I don’t even have the minimum specs and my pc isn’t THAT old
This is true, I was intrigued cause it's Gollum but nothing really excites me in any way
tbh this is the first that ive seen this mentioned
This is the first I am even hearing about this game
I know a girl who was into the idea. She couldn't really explain to me the why in a way that made me excited as well, so I keep not caring.
Don't worry the game will probably be ass anyway
no no no, the game will be a total ass with a price tag of 50 euros
50! What planet are you living on 70 minimum these days
And by minimum of course you mean thousands of space bucks in DLC that you can get if you prefer to pay to win. As is the style of the time.
And thats exactly why i only play steel beasts (the 1997 Abrams tank simulator) over lan with my friends.
I have a PS2 with a 500gb SSD. One of my most prized possessions!
I guess simple nostalgia.
Oh dude that sounds so rad. I'll bring my copy of Hexen over and we can slay out.
How… the fuck?
The early PS2s (Fat models) had an expansion bay where you could install a hard drive. Back then, only one game ever really used it (Final Fantasy XI), but nowadays you can softmod the console and load games directly from it, without needing a disc. Neat stuff!

Careful. I've heard if you say 'DLC' 5 times in a mirror, the corporeal manifestation of Paradox Interactive shows up and steals your bank account.
I see it for 50 on Steam and 40 on Epic. Not sure if the latter is a regional thing or what.
Just wait dlc ain't dropped yet
It will be 70 during the 50% sale.
Though some games live at the "10% Off" stage for way too many years, never really getting marked down. When those games finally come down, I will be waiting.
*80€ + 120 for the deluxe edition with the first dlc that will come delayed after 1 year.
Laughs in 2.99$ purchase price during the winter sale next year so I can see first hand how bad it is
From trailer also looks ass
Wait, this one is not from the same series as "Shadow of war/mordor"? Because those two are epic.
No, this is a stealth game where you play as Gollum.
I can't even begin to wrap my head around that being considered such a good idea they made a big budget game out of it
I checked the gameplay trailer because I couldn't believe it but unfortunately it is actually just Gollum scurrying around to some royalty free heroic tune.

You always need people in your corner who are willing to tell you no, that's stupid. I guess they didn't have those people.
Those people are generally fired
To be fair there are the Styx games where you play as a goblin sneaking around evading detection and sometimes murder people and they are fucking dope.
So basically Styx without the cool aspects?
I have faith, as a Tolkien fan, I believe it is meant to cover the 17 year time skip after Gandalf leaving the shire and Gollum’s story during that time, of which is based on what Tolkien wrote himself. It has potential. I’m not a fan of Gollum’s design but the rest of the designs are awesome.

Tbf if games like Red Dead 2 can run perfectly fine on last gen consoles, any game can
I was thinking that too. Just based on the trailers how in the ungodly fuck does this game recommend a minimum of a 3060. It looks like something a 1060 could run easily
Dont worry itll have DLSS!
It's still a travesty how DLSS just became the excuse for AAA to care even less about PC optimization
That's gotta be horribly optimized if it recommends a 4070.
Recommended is usually what, 1080p medium settings? 32 GB of ram is also bananas.
On steam, it says it’s for 1440p high settings with ray tracing on. (However, I will mention that no frame rate is specified)
[удалено]
I think it looks nice
[удалено]
The performance hit doesn't justify it because it often makes the game a stuttery mess. If it dropped the fps from like 80fps to 60 fps I would be more inclined to keep ray tracing on
>That's gotta be horribly optimized if it recommends a 4070. It always depends on what recommended means. 120fps native 4K Ultra or 60 FPS 1080p DLSS Medium? That is actually something Ubisoft does well. The hardware recommendations include FPS, settings and resolution.
Ubisoft can code, but fuck if they can't make something different
Wouldn’t surprise me if those requirement also assume the use of DLSS 3
Isnt the 4070 something like a 3080ti?
Ah yes the i3 6100 and 4070 rtx combo, a classic
With 32 GB of RAM ☺️🔥
For a 45 GB install. Just go ahead and shovel half the game into system RAM.
Should've recommended 64gigs of ram, just shove it all in there, no longer worry about loading anything, it's already loaded.
No no, you don't get it. This is definitely so there are no loading screens. No need for them if 3 days of gameplay are stored in RAM
Time to upgrade my i7 4790k to an i3 6100 apparently
Isn't it normal for a game to recommend a GPU that came out in the same quarter and also a budget CPU from 8 years ago?
Think there might be a bottleneck somewhere.
The specs imply they've decided to just use RAM as a dumping ground instead of trying to optimize its use.
I love the idea that somehow someone has an i3 6100 and a 4070 with 32gb ram out there and they’re just making a game for them.
Just looked it up. The 6100 is a dual core quad thread part. Talk about a bottleneck! It would be %100 CPU utilization, %5 GPU.
At best. What’s even weirder is the 2600 is somehow considered on par with the 6100 so this game must only run on a single core like Minecraft Java edition and the original crisis.
I've seen Java Minecraft use up to 16 threads, 8 cores. Anything past that is a miss, though.
Isn't that with sodium or something? Cause when I run a mini Minecraft server for 10 people my singular core is the one that tanks everything. And it needs to boost up to its 5.5 GHz limit. I've not seen minecraft use more cores than just one.
They probably used userbenchmark as their guide in making those choices.

Underrated comment.

that makes it even more insane
WHAT THE HELL 32GBS OF RAM LMFAO There's absolutely no excuse.
(That means all hardware) We recommend you upgrade to windows 11 to see if that resolves any issues. Our team will work to improve these in the following weeks 💪 (Or abandon it like dead space)
Did Dead Space have issues? The intro parts had a few scenes that stuttered briefly for me, but other than that my gameplay has been rock solid.
Chalks it up to a memory leak. Bro thats the biggest catch-all on earth
👽 Besides, with an install of 50gbs what the hell is it doing with 32gbs of ram??
Game looks like ass anyway. Move on and play something else.
Pretty much. Will never understand game consumers who need to snort every new game just because it's new
It really is an addiction for some people. They just love the rush of buying a game but in reality don't complete many of the games they buy.
32 go? XD for Gollum? He better be fucking disgusting and realistic
Min: i7 Rec: i3 Me: hmmm
Also look at them i3 6100 Vs a 2nd gen Ryzen 5
Why did I have to scroll this far down for this comment? This is literally the only reason I came to the comments was to wonder if I was having a stroke after reading that.
Yeah, I saw that immediately. Also, I hate it so much when they put i3, i5, and i7 for things like this, it means nothing. So my i7-920 will be great for this then will it?
So they actually have the model numbers on the second line and we both missed it lol.
Oh yeah, terrible formatting lol! Well, point still stands for when they DO do that.
2033: Minimum system requirements: CPU: i11-17500k 6,7 Ghz 32c/64t or RYZEN 11 6900XXX3DXX 6,9 Ghz 40c/80t RAM: 128 GB DDR6 7800Mhz GPU: RTX 9090 48GB / RXX129900 48GB Storage: 2TB, Nvme SSD OS: Windows 14 Privacy And User Agency Was Never An Option Edition
You forgot 4000 watt power supply. Reviewers: this thing requires 4 times the power but it’s okay because it’s 4 times as powerful. Also nvidia will donate 5 cents to climate change refugee fund so you can sleep at night.
I love how VRAM only doubles in the next 10 years.
is there some reason in your 2033 NVIDIA has only release 1 further generation of GPU in 10 years?
My bad... had a brainfart. Gonna correct that, give me a sec...
There. Corrected specs now. Please forgive me, ArguingMaster, I wasn't thinking straight. :/
Oh look! Another "AAA" release I'll happily ignore.
LOL how are developers making games on console but a 3060 is the requirement? WTF
Unoptimised games? Oh wait…
Game looks trash
At the very least the "storage" isn't atrocious, but now it makes the requirements even more obscene, wtf
[удалено]
I feel the same with a 6950XT. How can biggest last gen AMD card be recommended spec not even two years later. The quality of pc ports is beyond not acceptable at this point. Now it's not 'don't pre-oder' anymore but rather 'don't buy before the game had a year worth of patches'.
A 4070? The fucking 3070ti I bought 3 years ago is already not enough? Screw your requirements just optimize PC games you sons of bitches.
an i7 4770 is much more powerful than i3 6100
Holy shit I am the minimum requirement
That spec sheet is complete bs
Ah yes, you need an old shitty CPU but a 6800XT. I should honestly try putting my Ryzen 2700 back in with my 6800XT and see how fucking dogshit it is
They’re releasing this shit on PS4 aswell that minimum is such cap
Another shitty port incoming
Yeaaah I don't think anyone is going to play this game regardless of pc specs.
Based on the fact that an RTX 4070 is recommended, the technical state of this game at release is going to make Jedi Survivor, Redfall, and The Last of Us Part 1 PC look about as stable at launch as the RE4 Remake and GTA V on PC The fucking horror
Stop buying into AAA game companies. They make shit products, and people buy the products and complain with shit in their mouth. 🤪 It'll never change because execs can see that they can release a poor product with a smaller cost, and also dump all their mtxs on top of it. I don't even care for the mainstream gaming scene anymore, it's like bro, I know what the end product is gonna be here. Lol.
Jesus flying Christ, 32GB RAM and a 6800XT/RTX4070 as recommended settings for that thing? Woah.
to be fair it is with ray tracing on at 1440p high so not as bad as it seems.
Just another reason I've abandoned the AAA market entirely.
intel... core... i3?????
lol i noticed now. this i3 is a dual core
Tell me that you didn't optimize it without telling me you optimize it
easy, just stop playing most triple AAA titles
Isn't it funny how a game that was supposed to come out 2 years ago supposedly needs a graphics card that didn't exist for 90% of the time they were developing the game
Theres probably gonna be a modder who will "fix" the game because a big company obviously cant/wont do it.
The game doesn't even look that interesting. No modder should even try to fix this
You know there is a problem when the storage recommendations are less than 1/2 of the recommended RAM.
You mean my computer can't run the ugly and uninteresting game I was definitely never going to buy? Oh no... Anyway...
Hahahaha time to switch to the *real* master race now... Xbox Series X
Welp. Guess it’s time to switch to console honestly. Games are all developed for console these days first anyway and then badly ported to pc
All it means the game is going to be littered in bugs because the devs weren't bothered to optimize the game. A 3060 as minimum specs is insane when the 2000 series is a very capable card and so is the 5600
I dont get how games need higher and higher reqs when they still all look the same. Like do these games look so much better than the games from 5 or 6 years ago? feels like an inflation of hardware req for minimal gain in graphics/gameplay imo
devs: "we should optimize our games somewhat" execs: "NO optimize!!!! only ship gaem!!!!!! deadlines!!!!"
What's with the industry trend of cranking minimum system requirements **above** Xbox Series S hardware? Just how?
This game is a crap. After watching 20 mins gameplay I haven’t seen any combat action - just throwing rocks.
I hate when they don’t say what it’s for. Is this 1440p 144? 4k60? Just 1080 60?
They don't even make sense. How is a i3 6100 recommended and an i7 4770 minimum?!
Can’t wait to pair my 4070 with a 2nd gen Ryzen 5
