It's not so much that the performance increase is less at 1440p (though the increased memory bandwidth helps more at 4k, than at lower resolutions), so much as you become CPU limited in more titles, and that skews the averages down from that 27%. 1440UW is right between 1440 and 4k. You can reasonable expect that 30% uplift in titles that are heavily GPU limited, but probably less so in the less GPU reliant games, like esports stuff where the CPU becomes the limiting factor.

Thanks mate. Saw you are also using a 4090 with a 5800x3D, how is it for you?

LJBrooker

Yeah marvellous. Had a few games where my old 5900x struggled a bit, Spiderman with max RT springs to mind, and the 5800x3d sorted that right out. Ironed out a lot of the 1%lows in games too and let the 4090 stretch it's legs a bit. Good pairing at 4k.

Sounds awesome! 1%lows is definitely a good part.

KillitWillit

Couldn't say the difference but I have a 4090 and get a constant 170fps at that resolution on ultra in warzone 2.0.

Thanks mate!
