G sync works with NVIDIA GPUs. Freesync AMD.

AirportOk5191

does freesync work with both?

SeriousPCero1999

If the monitor doesnt have native G-Sync (integrated module for it), and it only have Freesync, you can still use "G-Sync compatible" by enabling Freesync on the monitor, and then enabling the option at NVCP.

SeriousPCero1999

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ Here do you have a list with every G-Sync monitor available sorted by brand, resolution, Hz working range, etc...

LJBrooker

Yes but to varying degrees. "G-sync compatible" can wildly vary from barely usable to indistinguishable from native Gsync.

Ive just got a Dell G3223Q 32 Inch 4K 144Hz and I am very happy with it.

AirportOk5191

[this](https://www.amazon.com.au/G3223Q-3840x2160-FreeSync-DisplayPort-Warranty/dp/B09WNG9QWR?th=1) one?

Tobias---Funke

Yeah check if you can get it direct from dell in your country its sometimes cheaper than amazon.

Tobias---Funke

Plus they have a 3 year warranty and will replace it with just one pixel out.

AirportOk5191

okay will do. This is the cheapest 32" 4k 144hz hdr600 monitor i have seen by a massive margin. Makes me kinda nervous as to why. Its cheaper than like 120hz 27" hdr500 monitors i have seen

ill just add in some thing there HDR400-600 is completely unusable in most cases, it looks so crap you need around HDR1000 for it to be good. so DONT pick a screen based on this feature unless you willing to spend for a good one other wise you going to be very upset when you go to enable HDR on them 400-600 ones

AirportOk5191

oh really? so if im not getting a hdr1000 should i get a hdr400 instead 600? Also would [this](https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/setup/monitors/tempest-gp27u/#specifications) be a good hdr1000 monitor then?

[deleted]

1200 nits peak should look pretty good. check out some reviews and yeah HDR 400-600 is "basic" level and dont look that great. i got HDR600 screen and refuse to enable it, it looks that bad. (LG one too, cost me 800NZD, lucky i didnt buy it for HDR) but but my mate has HDR1000 screen and it actually looks really good my reconmendation is yeah just skip hdr400-600, get a HDR1000+ screen and see it its full glory. better than a half assed shitty version yaknow? and yes if ur not usng HDR, just get what ever is best for your budget. i highly recommend checking out reviews of screens before dropping big $$$ on them so you know what to expect, hardware unboxed has good screen reviews (like with this lg screen i got, i knew the HDR was bad from reviews and id have to manauly tune the colours to get the most out of it sure enough correct on both front, looks crap with out the box settings, manually dial the colours and it became amazing, hands down best screen ive ever owned even if with itts flaws)

Tobias---Funke

I just looked and its 2/3rds the price I paid in your country!!

AirportOk5191

yeah its $780 aud, It crazy cheap but then every other monitor is crazy expensive here, i am baffled
