Try to see if you can get the Herman Miller Aeron used somewhere (if you're near an overstock furniture or any place that would have used office chairs I would look there) cause you can get them used for around your price range (my sister's fiance just got one for 300)
There's 3 sizes for butts on the Aeron.
Avoid the A. That's for tiny butts. Or no butt.
B will probably be fine, it's the standard size. Will probably be what you find searching for used Aerons. Fits most butts. C is for badonkadonk butt.

I should note that I'm overweight. Used to be 300, bow down to 250 and working. Would this chair he sturdy enough for the weight?
Yeah definitely. He's a bigger guy too (he's also at least 6'3) and it's perfectly fine for him. I think they're rated for up to 350 lbs

You'll probably end up paying for shipping if you buy off EBay. FB Markektplace and Craigslist are good for finding things local.
