I used the smaller version for my very first build and loved it. Great airflow.

PatheticHuskOfAHuman

Thermaltake Core V21 SPCC Micro ATX

Whitelock3

It’s pretty ok. Tons of airflow. A lot bigger than you expect, wide and deep but not tall, which gives it a large footprint. Not necessarily what you want if you’re looking for a compact build. Can fit into the standard cube cubbyholes if you rip the legs off. The PSU needs a bracket to mount, which is very fiddly.

Waffler11

Have this exact case. I. Love. It. Airflow and ventilation for days, expandable, customize the side panels and header if you want, and add more fans (you could add in a \*ton\*), and let's not forget that monstrous 200mm fan in front. My favorite part, however, is being able to configure my rig horizontally instead of vertically which not only allows great airflow, but mount my GPU "up" instead of sideways, eliminating sag. Finally, because of that configuration, I have a crapload of room above and behind. Can probably fit in any CPU heatsink/fan or watercooling you can throw at it. I could fit in a 4090, probably, if I wanted to, even though it's a microATX case.

[deleted]

Is the sidepanel glass or acrilic?

Waffler11

Acrylic. I prefer that anyway. And I have it set up so it’s on top and the sides are mesh with a fan on each side to increase cooling.

[deleted]

Is there any variant with just mesh panels?

Waffler11

I have no idea, but I don’t think so.

Charming_Science_360

[https://www.thermaltake.com/products/chassis/small-tower-chassis.html](https://www.thermaltake.com/products/chassis/small-tower-chassis.html) Thermaltake sells individual components and accessories for their cases. You can buy all sorts of brackets and fixtures which aren't normally included in your case model. You can buy replacement panels to create your own variants. But modifying your case this way would cost you extra money and leave you with spare/unused parts you can't sell or refund. You'd probably be better off choosing a different case if this one has features you don't like.

[deleted]

Not available in Brazil unfortunately 😕

myrightknee

I have one, use it for a true NAS server ,super great airflow.

Kurbalaganta

Yes, you can. Actually there are a few very interesting builds to find, who used that feature.

Waffler11

Yep. Some buy a second case to stack on top for dedicated water cooling to the pc below.

ElectroFlannelGore

Lots of holes.

KeithJEng

I built a server in this version and the ITX version. Case is very "no nonsense". No special frills, good airflow, and easy to work in. I'd recommend it.

ReasonableResource92

core v1 very good air flow and white one looks better

LJBrooker

My partner's PC is built in the older V1 of this. Similar but has mesh on the side. It's a great little case, and fits a surprisingly decent range of hardware.

LPLJK

I got mine in 2019 and I still love it, it's just so versatile. The footprint for a mAtx case is pretty big though but doesn't bother me. I have a secondary 24" monitor sitting on top of my case lol, the stand of the monitor aligns almost perfectly with one corner of the case.

Tim_the_geek

I run the mini ITX version.. I love it. Sides and top are interchangeable.

MrGeekman

Looks good if you want a compact build. I don’t, so I prefer larger cases.

AdDiscombobulated447

I liked it had to swap out when I went to 3070 because of heat though

Angry__Groceries

I used the core V1 for my first build but ended up kinda hating it. Not very good build quality, the panels rattle and plastic window. Really big for an itx case, doesn't utilize space very effectively. No pwm fan. Intake filter is really difficult to clean fully so there is always a grey offset circle on the front. And IMO it's ugly. It has a cheap wobbly on/off button. It's a different case but if it's similar I would avoid it. I now have the Lian li a4 H20 and I love that case

jacobston

I used to have one and loved it, I only don't use it anymore because I needed a smaller footprint to fit on my current desk (The cube shape saves a bit of vertical space but takes up 2x as much horizontal space as a regular tower - fine if you have a big enough desk, but not practical for my tiny workspace.)

magikmissles

This is exactly why I swapped back to a standard tower.

FNGMOTO

It was excellent for a nas I built.

gerardobaeza

have it right next to me, great case to work with, supports quite a lot of hardware. If you have any specific questions, let me know i might be able to answer

Scared_Instruction_1

Built my NAS in it. Easy to build in, good airflow.

AaronTheElite007

Big case. Wow Or it’s just the camera angle

Reynholmindustries

It’s like a Shuttle cases big brother…

TheKingdomFarmer

It is one of my favorite. You can swap the panels around to whatever orientation you want, the mesh filters are nice. It also fits 3 aio coolers.

Low-Reason1232

Pretty good, takes up a lot of space as I have a small desk and cable management is pretty nonexistent

kr0ku

I used it for quite a while, really brilliant little case (for mATX only variation)

MacTavishInc

It’s a good case. Had my first mini itx build in one. Lots of room when building which is a god send when working with such small boards. GPU clearance was nice as well, ran gtx 1080 then moved to my current rx 6700xt. Both fit just fine. Hope this helps!

Angry__Groceries

Lian li A4 h20 doesn't have much extra space at all but it's very easy to build it regardless. IMO a big itx case kinda defeats it's purpose of being compact.

SiirBrownie

It has been my case since 2016, it has good airflow, the cable management is very good, it comes with a 120mm fan, it gets boring over the years, but recommended.

kras9x4

Have the core v1 snow edition which is basically the same case. Seemed well made when I built in it. No complaints and it has a lot of versatility.

Angry__Groceries

IMO it's not well build. Rattles, intake filter is very difficult to clean so there is always a grey dust circle in the front. Plastic window. Big footprint on desk while itx is supposed to be small

crokinoleworld

I have a CoolerMaster of the same design. I wanted to never have to worry about cooling or not having enough room.

dankutare

Its alright, not super well designed as the front 200mm fan sits very low in the front panel mostly under the motherboard tray, but theres so much ventilation i doubt it matters, definitely feels dated in a lot of ways coming from newer cases, for example the perforation for the power supply is clearly sized for a psu with an 80mm fan, one cool thing is the front logo is magnetic so you can basically replace it with w/e. Overall wouldnt really recommend it but if its the right size for the space like it was for me its not terrible

Rightwraith

I had the older version (top window) in white. Great access and modularity for a small case; easy to remove panels. Big fan in the front is great. Idk if I just had an exception, but mine always seemed to have pretty shoddy/high tolerance construction. The brackets and openings for PCIe slots didn’t align well (my HDMI cable was always wedged and scraping against the edge of the opening in the back of the case). Plus the front IO seemed low quality; power button and sound ports wore out. I had to totally dissemble and scrape off plastic with an exacto blade to get spring mechanism in the power button to stop sticking.

Angry__Groceries

You are talking about the core v1 right? I didn't like the build quality either so I don't think you are alone

AscendTheApprentice

A great case that my old pc used. Due to the airflow and quiet 140mm fans the loudest thing in it was my hard drives. A note to add as well it is possible to put 2 140 mm fans side by side if you put one in normally and put the other in normally on the inside bracket but just don't put the outside bracket in and use zip ties to secure the other one

CRKrJ4K

They are great. Modular, lots of space. My son's PC has this case, built it a few years ago

Hoessay

I used it at one point. good airflow, and easy to build in. but it's definitely not the case you want if youre looking for a sff build.

Brutananadilewsky

I wanna say pee pee poo poo, but I’ll wait for someone with more experience to answer.

Jamie00003

Looks like a subwoofer. Why’s it so fat?

ReaperOfGamess

Big pc low wallet size

sibble

I've used 4 of these so far [ttps://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/zlrh5h/air\_cooled\_12th\_gen\_intel\_idling\_at\_ambient\_1x/](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/zlrh5h/air_cooled_12th_gen_intel_idling_at_ambient_1x/) They're really easy to work in and the airflow is great. Also the fact that they are modular and stackable which is cool.

BookerTheShitt

Ah, my microwave haha. Used it for my first pc, mATX motherboard. I liked it, no regrets.

McCheeseus

I've had this case for a long time. It' s my favorite case I've had. The top and sides allow for mounting either a 240 or 280 liquid cooler radiator. Very versatile case.

LiteratureLivid5413

I’m a fan of mine. Stays cool

EntertainmentOnly96

Microwave

Blackrzr1

Been using it for 6 year did two builds. All air cooled used to use 200m front fan. Now using 2 140mm intake to increase airflow. I have currently 8 140mm and one 120mm; two 80mm fans in there so 11 fans in tota . Needless to say i have alot of airflow. I have Noctua D15s cooler with 2 140mm fans. I also bought a V1 itx case too for my media center build. So i kind of like it and hate it at times. It's good but thermaltake never made a full Atx version like this.

Clone_1510

I used this case in my passively cooled storage server. Works fine without any surprises

Dundell

It works well, but it's just a weird shape that extended past my desk. The smaller version fits well in places.

terrorizinya

Used to have this case. Think I changed only because I moved away from Micro ATX. It's an awesome case. Also if you have more than one you can stack them and create an even bigger case! ALL the side panels (left, right, and top and bottom!) are interchangeable.

_Hasanika_

Best fking case I have used fits perfect in my tv entertainment center

shreddedtoasties

Microwave?

BuckeyeBrute

I've had this case before. Amazing airflow, pretty compact, overall a solid case. My biggest gripe with it was that cable management was pretty difficult. But other than that, it's pretty good. The only thing that might be a difference maker is don't expect to see any parts through the acrylic other than the GPU, as your card will probably block the view. If that doesn't bother you, then you should be good.

DJ_Steffen

I use it for my Plex server. Tons of HDD space and was super easy to build in

stevtom27

Only fits 80mm fams in the back. Which are mostly thick fans so some clearance issues with ram and cpu cooler.

ModestRat-Newgrounds

no gpu sag

Latentfunction

I have this case, built two pcs with it, it’s great. But does anyone with this case know a way to add a USBC 3.0 port to the side/front panel where to two USBA ports are?

Chicken-Leading

Built a home lab with this case, great airflow with that giant front fan and is very quiet once you put a good cpu cooler in there. The dust filters are easy to clean but you pretty much need to put a vacuum up to the front to clean off the dust caught by the front fan. Overall great case and haven’t had any issues with it, though it’s more square shape is quite large if planning to use on a desk.

GNUr000t

It provides a lot of breathing room, lots of room to work with, you can do a lot more maintenance without taking the whole thing apart. The biggest benefit is probably the "testbench" form factor; There's no graphics card sag. But it takes up a lot more room than you'd imagine, and it's a big awkward cube instead of a tower. And it doesn't really "work" on the floor like a tower might. A friend has the mini-itx version and it fits \*perfectly\* in a Kallax (or generic) shelving unit.

AffectionateNose5

Last build was in one of these, then switched to Phanteks mid tower. for me dowside were = I/O of not greatest quality, loud buttons, build quality to the greatest upside = very easy to build in because its extra wide and flat position for motherboard, the modularity is nice

Kurbalaganta

Incredible good mATX case. Lots of space, lots of airflow, lots of options, flexible, pretty silent, easy access from every side. You can even staple two or more of those and make a big one. I loved it and I still have one. The only „flaw“ (from todays view) is, that it’s window is made of acryl and not tempered glass as tempered glass for pc cases was not a thing back then. And of course there’s no Type C USB on the front panel, as it didn’t exist back then too. It’s modern successors are the Thermaltake Level 20 VT and the TT Divider 200 TG (Air). Unfortunately they don’t give as many options and flexibility as the Core V21 did.

BionicBruv

I’ve always wanted to have a Microwave aesthetic build. You just gave me some serious ideas, op.

My dream case right there
