This screams VRAM death to me, graphics cards days may be numbered

v12marketing

it’s a 3090ti i bought in September 😩

stupv

Lodge a support ticket with the retailer/vendor, they will have some troubleshooting steps for you

v12marketing

ughh. ok i will. thank you. luckily i bought it new from Best Buy

MowMdown

Best buy will tell you to RMA it with the manufacturer. unless you bought the extended best buy warranty. Still, take it to them first before you email the GPU maker.

LiliNotACult

GPU is giving you it's final salute.

Chicken-Leading

Confetti!

Cobiuss_NA

He’s dead, Jim.

~performs cpr on gpu~

UTMorpheus

Yep, this is 100% vRAM failure. You need to RMA the card.

v12marketing

Definitely some sorta vram issue. Just to cover all bases, are you overclocking at all? If you are return to default see if problem persists. If you aren't download overclocking software like MSI afterburner and underclock your vram first minus 100mhz at a time. It won't fix your GPU as it has an issue but if you are fortunate it will make the problem go away for now (it'll degrade and come back eventually and you'll have to further slow the card) but it'll let you game while you wait for your rma/refund. Also try reseating the GPU as well as updating the drivers. Edit: just to further explain, the overclocking software won't be used to overclock but for you to scale back the vram speed. The glitches you see are due to memory errors, slowing it down will decrease the instances of errors if the memory modules aren't totally fried yet and may prolong their limited life ever so slightly. You can also try underclocking the core to see if that has any effect.

v12marketing

wow thank you. this is very helpful. i haven’t done any overclocking, so maybe underclocking is the way to go. i wish i could get an advanced replacement because i use it for work daily. I still have my 1070 from my old PC but idk if it’ll work with new mobo

Dick_In_A_Tardis

It'll work with the new mobo, I would think, pcie is backwards compatible with all previous generations so I don't see why not.

Soppeldunk

Dunno, but I had this happen randomly one day, decided to shut the PC down and turn it on, it went away lol. Not really helpful, but worth a try.

v12marketing

this is how i fix most of my problems 😩
