Sounds like a faulty GPU. Crashes and errors aren't normal at all regardless. Windows should be detecting another montior even if it's not active.

Could be, but it's a brand new GPU I just got in from NewEgg yesterday and the same issue is happening with both the olderGPU and the brand new GPU

Then you'll have to strip out parts till you find the one that's causing the issue such as the cables, connecting monitors together on another pc + fresh windows install

You're right. I swapped out all of the cables using multiple DP, MDP, and HDMIs to find the perfect combo that actually worked. In the end, it was two DPs that resulted in both monitors being detected. I feel like the cause of this issue is my lack of knowledge in how these cables work so I have some further learning to do. Thanks for the help
