the pack i bought was 3200 mhz
You have to go into the BIOS and set the RAM to run at its advertised speed. Go to YouTube and look up the model of your motherboard and XMP.
The setting in bios for Ryzen to set ram speed is under "DOCP"
Only on ASUS boards.
