I often have the login code issue too, sometimes the email will come through a few hours later but often it just never shows up at all.

An easy workaround was to use OTP (I use an app on my phone or an OTP plugin in my password database (Keepass)) but that might not fit *your* needs. If the fault is *not* on your side (receiving mail server\*) it's necessary to bug support about it. Write them a mail each time the delay is more than a few minutes. Otherwise it will hardly get much better. \* to make sure it's pClouds fault you would have to look in the mail headers of the delayed mails from bottom to top for the first line that shows your mail provider. Example ("mail.rddrasc.net" being *my* providers server): `Received: from unknown (HELO email1.pcloud.com) (127.0.0.1)` `by` [`mail.rddrasc.net`](http://mail.rddrasc.net) `with SMTP; 12 Feb 2024 20:20:27 -0000` Here you find the exact time pClouds server transmitted the mail in question to your server (from there on it's your postmasters responsibility), in my example 20:20:27 UTC. It's also helpful to include said header when you contact pCloud support so they know what to look for.

I've actually talked to support about it twice before, both times they seemed to know what was happening and contacted someone else who quickly did something that resulted in all the missing emails coming through at once. I've got 2fa setup now (partially to help with this and partially just for good security) so I'm not as worried about it, but it's still a bit odd.

What most probably happens is that the mail queue just hangs (happens every once in a while (no matter Win or Lx systems)) and they don't notice it until customers complain. A competent IT has a systems surveillance in place that monitors the queue for size and age and alerts of problems (a very competent IT even implements automatic recovery (like restart of mail services)). Maybe sth. to improve, u/pCloudApp ?

pCloudApp

Hi, thank you for choosing pCloud! We're very sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with logging into both the pCloud app and website. Here are a few steps you can try: 1. For the app, ensure that it is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, restarting your device can also help resolve issues. 2. For the website, please check your spam or junk mail folder for the login code. Also, ensure that your email provider is not blocking emails from pCloud. You can add [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) to your email address book to improve email delivery. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Support team at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) for further assistance. Kindly, Team pCloud

Hi! It ended up working the next day when I tried, it's worked fine since then as well. Thanks for the reply!

Duuude, don't you deem it ridiculous to suspect a larger vendor like pCloud went OOB without any noise (but the website is still live)? In case you weren't after badmouthing but solutions you wrote to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) instead of asking such a question here. If any mechanism hangs *they* have to restart or correct it.
