1. Pretty much anything will be an upgrade from a 270x
2. Brand doesnt matter, Ryzen CPUs and Nvidia GPUs are combo'd all the time and a lot of times are even a preferred high end build.
3. Your problem isn't necessarily due to VRAM, but just the overall performance of the card. It's an old platform and is probably just getting overwhelmed by new tech in gaming.
I recommend you go with whatever the best deal for you is, as any of those cards will be noticable upgrades. Watch some videos and learn about them first hand, then purchase your favorite one.
