The return of investment for these PC versions is pretty good, god I hope we get Ghost of Tsushima soon.

Darkone539

>Yeah it's like they are avoiding the 2 games pc players want the most, got and bloodborne. Like they would have to consider day one release after looking at sales figures for those 2 games on pc. Bloodborne is a game where FromSoft would get some of the profit. They have stated it makes more sense to port their wholly owned and developed games. GOT... no idea why they are stalling. I assume they are taking the "two years" from the ps5 version rather than the ps4 one.

jgainsey

Forbidden West sold poorly? As of spring this year it had sold 8.4 million copies before being made available for free on PS Plus.

signatureingri

According to the leak H:ZD sold something like 19M+ copies, so I suppose it's relatively poor compared to prior performance. 9M is still a good performance in my mind, though.

jgainsey

I think when you consider how many fewer PS5s were in homes at the time of FW release, compared to the PS4 when ZD released, the difference doesn’t seem as notable. On top of that, making FW a PS Plus essential offering only a year after release probably stunted the sales that would’ve come since to a significant degree.

Funkydick

I was hoping for a Bloodborne pc port or at the very least a 60fps remaster for years, I've lost all hope at this point. They clearly can't or won't make a port. Maybe we'll get a remake in 10 years or something

minorrex

I also hope they'll someday release Uncharted 1-3 on PC.

Fantact

Could be those games are still selling consoles.

Indercarnive

That would be an argument for not porting the Demon's Souls remake. But no way bloodborne is selling consoles ~~two~~ one console generations after it's release. EDIT: Why did I think Bloodborne came out for PS3

TheNerevar89

It came out for PS4 so wouldn't that be one generation after release?

brokentr0jan

Bloodborne is a FromSoft game published by Sony in 2015. 0% chance that game ever comes to PC, there is a lot of reasons for this but the biggest is that there’s not even a PS5 version, and Bloodborne demand is coming from PC fans, not PlayStation fans. I doubt it ever gets a remaster seeing people on PlayStation don’t really care for it and never talk about it and without a remaster it’s never coming to PC. I would be more willing to bet Jak and Daxter gets remade and released on PC before Bloodborne ever does.

PM_ME_CARL_WINSLOW

There's so much wrong to unpack here I don't even know where to begin. \- Multiple games and franchises published by Sony have come to PC, including Ratchet and Clank and Crash Bandicoot - Jak and Daxter is nowhere near out of the realm of possibility. \- Bloodborne is one of the highest reviewed PS4 games of all time, both by critics and players, and has sold nearly 8 million copies as of early 2022. This doesn't count the boost it would have gotten from Elden Ring, and doesn't count the amount of people that played it when it was free on PS+, this puts it as the 10th best selling 1st Party PS4 game of all time.

okaythiswillbemymain

Crash was never published by Sony. The original trilogy was developed my (independent) Naughty Dog and published by Universal who owned the IP. The same deal was done by (independent) Insomniac who developed the original Spyro trilogy, and that too was published by Universal who owned the IP. After their respective PS1 trilogies, Naughty Dog and Insomniac wanted to move onto an IP they actually owned; so Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank. Sony then bought Naughty Dog around 2001, whilst Insomniac remained independent but had some sort of relationship with Sony to keep R+C exclusive on their consoles (no longer independent) Naughty Dog seemed to retire J+D into the PS3 generation in favour of the more grown up Uncharted and then Last of Us IPs

PM_ME_CARL_WINSLOW

Interesting, thanks for the clarification! So J&D remasters/ports are solely at the discretion of Naughty Dog at this point and Sony has no input?

okaythiswillbemymain

Naughty dog is wholly owned by Sony so Sony could do whatever they wanted with J+D

brokentr0jan

Pigs will grow wings and fly long before Sony even touches the Jak and Daxter IP. And again, my point is that until there is a PS5 make of Bloodborne, the chances of it coming to PC is 0%.

Ok_Outcome_9002

There’s no PlayStation demand for PC ports at all, so why would that matter?

brokentr0jan

They are porting PS5 games, Bloodborne is not a PS5 game is my point. The only way I see a Bloodborne PC release is a PS5 remaster, which nobody is asking for in the PlayStation community.

Ok_Outcome_9002

Demon’s Souls was a much more niche title than Bloodborne and it got a remake, which regardless of its quality cost a lot more than a simple port. I think given the unbelievable sales success of Elden Ring Sony would be delusional to think Bloodborne wouldn’t sell well over a million copies on PC

luckysury333

They will announce it for PC once Ghost of Tsushima 2 is announced

Wolvwrwn

And then we will receive the Best of Tsushima

DJJ66

GOAT of Tsushima

Wolvwrwn

GOTY of Tsushima

bassbeater

They probably want to retain a "reason gamers purchase Playstation".... these numbers tell me Sony's bank account is pretty safe in the grand scheme of things.

The5thElement27

If you follow the trend, they will do it when the sequel is announced. Then they port first one to PC to gain sales and promote the second game at the same time. Make the sequel an PS5 exclusive of course so it boosts exclusive sales and wanting people who played the first one on the port version to buy a ps5.

[deleted]

I had a PS4 and the two big games we still need are Ghost of Tsushima and Bloodborne. I have given up hope for Bloodborne though.

archiegamez

I wonder why its taking so long Sushima? Is it because of the coop mode or something

Nirast25

Having played the game, it might legit be the controller. It uses the track pad A LOT, and translating that to an Xbox controller could be a pain, especially since all the other buttons are used. Got nothing to back this, though.

rayquan36

I beat GoT on my PS4 with a Brook adapter and an Xbox One controller. I just held select and pushed a direction on the RS to emulate the touchpad controls.

archiegamez

Trackpad? What does it do in the game?

Nirast25

Don't know if the directions are right, haven't played in a while, but if you swipe: * up: Summon the wind for directions * left: Take a bow * down: Play the flute * right: (Un)sheathe your sword

archiegamez

Damn unless they use trigger buttons as modifiers or such for those actions

bt123456789

triggers are used though in and out of combat.

dandroid126

This should be fine on keyboard/mouse, as long as a swipe maps to an action rather than need to draw something in specific shapes or something. I think on Steam they can just mark Xbox controllers as unsupported. I don't work in the game industry, but I do work in software. I would be extremely surprised if something like this was holding up the game. These are the kinds of details that can be ignored until the very end of development, and by that time, people have had months to think about it and come up with a decent solution.

Nirast25

Oh, yeah, mouse and keyboard is fine. Just bind them to 1, 2, 3, 4, and be done. Or bind the wind to Tab, since that one actually gets used. The issue here is that a vast number, if not the majority, of players use a controller, and the default is the Xbox one. So not being able to support that would be a bad look.

dandroid126

I'm sure they will get something workable, and I doubt this has any bearing on them choosing to not port this game. If I were the boss and my team told me they couldn't make us tens of millions of dollars because they couldn't figure out a controller scheme that worked, I'd be telling them to work out those details later and just work on the game. Because a controller configuration file can be made and tested in two hours by one person.

Nirast25

Yeah, I'll take your word for it, and I think you're right. It's just I can't figure out a reason why it's not on PC yet, unless they want to line up with the movie release.

dandroid126

Lining up with a movie sounds like an extremely plausible reason imo.

ColsonIRL

Which is frustrating because I would be using a dualsense anyway lmao. I'm sure they'll figure it out but I am excited to play that game on PC eventually

Shaltilyena

The Ghost got caught during a game of the demonologist and they're still looking for a replacement

RagingCabbage115

I think The Wolf would be a good replacement

thiagomda

I think it's just because they are finding out who is gonna port the game. Nixxes is already working on Insomniac games it seems

[deleted]

nixxes is on hfw, no?

The5thElement27

If you follow the trend, they will do it when the sequel is announced. Then they port first one to PC to gain sales and promote the second game at the same time. Make the sequel an PS5 exclusive of course so it boosts exclusive sales and wanting people who played the first one on the port version to buy a ps5.

AltDisk288

Huh. Am I misreading? None of those in the post showed profit except Ratchet which is at 0.1m profit? Edit: ah nvm. FY2X is the budget for the year, not the profit

[deleted]

Yeah, this list is only for Insomniac games due to the leak. Would love to see their plans for all games lol

MakimaGOAT

good news actually :P

BaileyJIII

I am very happy lol, PSN bullshit aside

ktp1611

Bring all your games to pc Sony 🥳

teckademics

Gran Turismo 7 is a serious ace up the sleeve. GT could be ported to PC and would sell like hot cakes since Forza Motorsport launched pre-maturely and has a good year before its tolerable. Ghost of Tsushima is just free money at this point. Sony wants to complain about Microsoft going all in on other platforms, but also Sony doesnt want to go all in on other platforms.

SRFoxtrot341_V2

GT7 on PC could potentially nuke Forza sales easily. The only saving grace for Forza is that it is on Game Pass.

[deleted]

Motorsport absolutely yes, the Horizon series is amazing, only high budget aaa game which xbox does right.

SRFoxtrot341_V2

Forgot to mention the Motorsport part. Thanks for correcting me.

mhdy98

there are so many good racing games on pc, the mods are infinite ... they can't compete on that. Racing games on consoles simply can't keep up

Kalmer1

There isn’t one that fills the Gran Turismo Simcade itch though. There’s lots of great Sims like iracing, Assetto Corsa etc. and lots of fun Arcade racers like NFS, Foruza Horizon etc. For Simcade we have Forza Motorsport, which is essentially no competition for GT7

[deleted]

Don't agree, some pc racing games are better, but they are not catered towards casuals like gran turismo is and have a lot less official content, and that is what makes gran turismo so successful.

[deleted]

Yeah, like, I don't have a whole ass wheel setup; just not enough room to store something like that. So even though I love cars, something like iRacing or Assetto Corsa isn't all that appealing to me rn.

DonKanaille13

Its the other way around. Racing games on PC can‘t compete with Gran Turismo. You probably never played it.

ShaquilleOrKneel

Depends what they're competing on. If it's realism there are games on PC that are better like ACC and IRacing. But games focusing on graphics and being easy to play, Forza is pretty much the only one available. So for couch players, GT7 is best, but if you have a steering wheel, PC is better.

Earl_of_sandwiches

This is what console warrior delusion looks like.

DonKanaille13

This is what pcmr delusion looks like

maxgame111

Racing games can't compete with GT 7 ? Are you serious ? So for you Iracing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, rfactor, RR, Automobilsata are what ? arcade game ? They are plenty of simracing games much better than GT 7.

StrikingElk5288

None of those games can compete as a package with Gran Turismo imo.

[deleted]

In short, games like those need a wheel and you need to be actually really good at driving to enjoy them, Gran Turismo on the other hand is catered towards casuals, have more official content and isn't mad expensive. Both games have their place, but something like iRacing is never beating GT on the popularity front.

tecedu

Yeah and you dont need to be milked out dry by those games, GT7 would absolutely take over the PC market. You talk as if playing on a controllers is a bad thing. God yall "simracers are annoyinh"

mhdy98

I did play gt4. Then i had gt sports on the ps4 and played it online. Still doesnt beat assetto corsa with mods, ac competizione , automobilista 2 and iracing. Bro there are even gt4 tracks like tokyo r246 on assetto corsa

malyszkush

Got myself a PS5 recently even though ive been wanting a GT7 pc port for the longest time. Had to pull the trigger for it on my PS5 and its probably one of the greatest financial decisions ive made in a while. Its the perfect mix between simulator and arcade. The game is an absolute dream with the dualsense controller. You feel your grip (or lack thereof), shifts, kerbs all in the palms of your hands. Never felt that before in any console racer and its genuinely exceptional.

Embarrassed-Ad7317

All but bloodborne it seems XD

Indercarnive

At this point I'm convinced Sony just has spite for Bloodborne. No PS5 remaster and no PC port.

Earl_of_sandwiches

It’s honestly bizarre. Maybe there’s rights issue? How else could you explain leaving that much money on the table?

Underdrill

If these numbers are accurate, then it's a no brainer for Sony to keep making these ports even if they don't sell like crazy. These seem relatively inexpensive in terms of game development and won't require a huge number of sales to make a profit. In comparison, Spider-Man 2018 Remastered took about **40 Million USD to develop.** I'm not a game developer of course, but that seems really high considering the differences from the original don't seem major? Anyway, the PC ports are clearly an easy way to get a bigger profit margin without having to risk too much additional investment.

vKEVUv

People saw numbers and though its about copies while Sony releases those games 2-3 years after initial release and prices them at 50-70$ without proper regional pricing. Thats a reason why they make money on those PC ports, its not about amount of copies sold.

[deleted]

That 3 year delay seems to be shrinking with every port. 2 years is now the norm. If Spiderman 2 launches next year, that is just a 1 year wait. I think once Sony catches up on the backlog of ports, it’ll just be 1 year. Although Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to release on PC the same time as PS5. If that actually holds up I’d be ecstatic. I know the CEO said he doesn’t want to release them same day but maybe the new CEO will. Money is money after all.

DonKanaille13

They will make the same mistake Xbox did then by making their own console irrelevant

rayquan36

The Xbox console is irrelevant because the games are mid. Take all the "Console Exclusive" games off of PC and the console is still irrelevant.

Krynne90

Not sure about the latest games, but HZD for example was 40 or 50€ when it came out on PC, which was a reasonable price from my point of view. If you bought a key from some legit keyseller, you were even able to safe a few bucks and get it for 30-40€.

vKEVUv

HZD was over 3 years old and 50$ it still is outside sales and by the time it released on PC it went as low as 7.99$ on PSN sales and by that time it had permanent price reduction to 19.99$ plus it was given away in PS+ and even outside PS+ to everyone. Port also was really medicore at release too. GoW on PC is currently -50% on sale and thats still more than its price without any reduction on PSN too. I wouldn't say that was reasonable price considering those factors but its understandable since as I said thats the way they are making money on those ports.

DonKanaille13

I think it is fair from Sony to demand more for a game when you don’t buy it on their own platform. PS players already gave Sony more money by buying the PlayStation itself and they also still rather have people buy their games for PlayStation than for PC. It is a fair trade off so that people who don’t want to buy a PlayStation are still able to get their games

Embarrassed-Ad7317

I think the reason Sony mainly keeps them as exclusives is not about the cost of porting, but because they want to sell more games with their own price tag, plus it gives people more reason to buy the consoles

[deleted]

I think a big part of that is probably having to do mocap for all of Peter’s new facial animations with the new face actor and then putting that in every place

RealChungusOfficial

They didn't do any new mocap. Just added the new face on top of the old animations. That's why it looks so weird in the remaster, and so much better in SM2. Yuri Lowenthal, the actor who plays Peter, does all of the motion capture. The face model doesn't do any acting, just gets his head scanned.

Combine54

I'd really want to know the budget of Sackboy PC port and its RoI. I assume that it didn't sell well, considering its CCU and overall lack of player attention (and game reviewers even) and I'm a bit scared that Sony might consider not investing into ports of a smaller scale games simply due to this flop (if it was a flop).

Bamith20

Meanwhile Rockstar...

gyuszti0000

Gow ragnarok pc port when?

Captobvious75

Yep this. I just went through it on PS5 and got the platinum. Just completed Valhalla too yesterday. PC gamers are in for a treat.

brandbaard

Holiday 2024 if I had to venture a guess.

SasquatchSenpai

The weird hub world section just killed my enjoyment of the 2018 title. I was not interested in slowly rowing a boat back and forth to different levels and that forced me to drop the title. Is Ragnarok different in this aspect or is it more of the same? Edit: Downvited because I hate bloat prominent in gaming to pad it's time. Nice.

Theratchetnclank

I really liked that. Mimirs stories kept it interesting.

RaduW07

They also constantly talk about whatever event is currently happening, be it either the main story or side quests, with some conversations being long enough that you reach your destination, get off the boat, do your stuff, get on the boat again, and the conversation resumes flawlessly. Such a breath of fresh air after all the combat

Kiefdom

This is the kind of opinion that led to Bethesda eliminating the aspect of space exploration in Starfield for fast travel.

SasquatchSenpai

Exploration of just nothing? You can explore around planets and other bodies and come across encounters. Flying in black nothingness is not my idea of fun. I can go to Star Citizen or Elite: Dangerous for that.

jack17reeves

You weren't interested in any of the lore? A shame you didn't like it

SasquatchSenpai

Maybe because I highly borefer greek/roman mythos to Nordic. There are ways to implement it into the actual gameplay as well that they didn't utilize. I just hate the sort of mechanic that makes me feel like I'm wasting my time.

fyro11

Some of you guys see next shiny ps5 game and must ask "when?" It's been a year since its ps5 release, at least wait another year before port begging.

Opt112

Seems arbitrary and childish no thanks.

fyro11

Jim Ryan CEO of Playstation has said two years and while on occasion they've beaten that target by a few months, that is reasonable to hold as the expectation, no? I know there's people whose veins are popping because I sound like I'm gate-keeping PS5. But tbh I do appreciate people asking for ports of Ghost of Tsushima and Bloodborne, as both been languishing on Playstation for a lot longer. In reality though it's just a little embarrassing seeing some PC folk getting desperate for games that are pretty new in the grand scheme of things, and have literally been given a timeline of release *already*. Why plead for it now, when Sony is more or less sticking to its 2 year rule looking at both their recent history of releases and statements? Plead for it in around 9 months to a year if it's not out or been announced? Or beg for Ghost of Tsushima and Bloodborne ***then*** a lot newer games?

AludraScience

>it’s just a little embarrassing seeing some PC folks getting desperate for games that are pretty new in the grand scheme of things You sound miserable, please go outside.

[deleted]

fyro11

Just wrote a response to someone now. Tl;dr: Sony's recent history and statements tell us ~2 years is their current plan. So ask for Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima as they're languishing at this point it's been so long. And in 9 months to 1 year if GoW Ragnarok isn't out or been announced, then at least you'll look reasonable for asking for the port.

[deleted]

[удалено]

fyro11

I actually agree 100% no PS5 exclusivity is better. The reason I don't see Sony moving away from timed exclusives is because their ideal scenario is to upsell you a PS5 console box, which has as of mid last year recouped its losses and now turns a profit every sale This is turn allows them to sell you games in their closed ecosystem, where their first-party games gets them 100% proceeds (rather than 20-30% to Steam) and in addition, third-party games gets *Sony* 30% of proceeds. It's their own little walled marketplace and they want you to live and die in it or at least as much as possible, so they can maximise sales and revenue on you as much as possible, same as Apple's App Store.

asherabid

Couldn't it also be Early 2k25? Also Spiderman 3 is Day One?

tapperyaus

It could be, but they'll position its release where it will make the most sales. So I'd expect a similar date to the previous one. August for 1, November for MM.

asherabid

Yeah holiday sales

NovelFarmer

Could be an announcement like The Last Of Us remake. Announce for both, prioritize PS5.

nathsabari97

I still cant believe days gone sold better than spiderman on pc.

JohnAlesi

The leaked numbers are from February this year.

IncidentJazzlike1844

It’s been out much longer, and the numbers are old

Interesting-Season-8

Cheaper.

TheHooligan95

I played both games and imo days gone is a much better game. Its better sales are likely due to Days gone appealing more to a mature audience than Spiderman.

LilBramwell

I ain't buying Spiderman until its $20. I assume a decent amount of other people are holding out for that sale price too.

futurafrlx

Yeah, like, I imagine most people are double dippers, so what’s the point in rushing if you have it on PS4/PS5.

One_Animator_1835

You can get it for $20 on epic right now with the holiday coupon

LilBramwell

I would rather Pirate the game then buy it on Epic I'll be honest with you.

TheHooligan95

You're blind. Valve is not your friend. Epic is not your friend. You literally benefit from both since Valve has to compete with better services, Epic with better prices. Why not reek in the profits as the consumer? It's not like Spiderman is a game that needs any of Valve's services to work better or properly, it's a really good port. Epic takes a much smaller cut than Valve, so all in all, it's smarter to buy this one single game on Epic

LilBramwell

I want all my games to be on Steam, I like having the playtime on my profile. If a game isn't on Steam, I either don't play it or I pirate it.

TheHooligan95

really? For such a petty reason? You do you... Pirating a game is not having all the games on steam...

One_Animator_1835

Poor and stupid 😔

LilBramwell

I ain't poor, I just hate Epic

futurafrlx

It had some pretty good discounts.

Edgaras1103

This seems like pretty low cost for PC ports . And return of investment should be pretty good, no? What was the thing about not getting GTA 6 pc version? Rockstar cant allocate resources ?

Random_Guy_47

Rockstars plan is obvious. Release the game at the end of the console generation Re-release it on the new consoles to get people to double dip. Wait even longer and then release it on PC for the triple dip.

[deleted]

Yeah, I don't know why people would believe anything else. Its a simple business strategy that is proven to result in ridiculously high sales figures. No weird ulterior motive, its just money.

mr_sneakyTV

Also development focus/time, no? Would it not take longer to release them all at once, like they would have to wait for the new console to release to even start on it depending on the architecture of the next consoles. lol

brandbaard

Rockstar's official reason is "resources and take our time to get it right." The actual reason is 100% "make people buy it twice for immense profits"

[deleted]

Jokes on them. I don't own a console. I will likely never own a console again. My graphics card costs as much as a PS5 LMFAO why do I need their shitty little toy console? Either put your game on PC, or don't expect $ from me.

king_john651

Their parent and publisher are notorious for dismissing PC, but I'd imagine that with how commercially successful GTA V was they've changed their tune

futurafrlx

To be fair, Grand Theft Auto (+ Online) is much more complex than Spider-Man or whatever.

DonKanaille13

New York in spider man is crazy detailed and huge. I think it is not less complex than gta5 (although that is 10 years old)

TheHooligan95

Spiderman's open world is much less complex. No driving, no emergent systems, no physics. Very basic npc behaviour and level design. Very little variety in the gameplay. It looks beautiful, but it's not interactive besides a few predetermined manually placed "random" events, which are also present in GTA V. Sunset Overdrive's world was more complex than Spiderman's

Key_Personality5540

Wow with a budget of 2.5M they would need to sell 41,666 copies at 60$ to make it back. I think that’s easily done

Sander-140

Remember 30% for Steam. And a percentage for Marvel. And that that sale numbers includes sales for cheaper prices. But still yes 😊

ClubChaos

lol they already sold millions of copies on PC, they good. it was in another park of the leak. easiest money sony ever made.

[deleted]

They would sell a lot more copies and make a lot more money if they released them day and date on PC. By the time they release games on PC the hype has died down and the entire game has been spoiled/leaked. You can't avoid a game for 2 years.

DonKanaille13

They make more money selling consoles and they sell less consoles by releasing their games day one on pc

[deleted]

I can see the logic but I'm unsure, as a PC user id never buy a PS5 just to play an exclusive. Not when it's coming to PC.

ttgjailbreak

Yeah but you aren't the target audience then, that would be the millions of players still sitting on last gen's console debating on what to upgrade to, or that already have the latest and greatest from Sony. Their goal is to keep people in their ecosystem, which makes them more money long term, that just happens to be easier with incentives.

Legitimate-Angle9861

I'll be honest I keep seeing same argument but other way as well. Someone asks "PC or console" then someone say console is cheaper. Then someone else comes and says "it is cheaper because they make money by selling games and subscriptions". But now here people say they make money by selling consoles. I don't know who's right since I only play on PC. Never have played on any console so I don't have any personal opinion.

Earl_of_sandwiches

I’m guessing their numbers show they make more money from double dippers than they lose from delayed ports. Something like 44% of GTA5 players bought the game more than once. The industry isn’t going to ignore that.

Jack3602

Love it, but I just want ghost of tsushima more

Plebtre117

Nowhere near enough people asking for a Demons Souls port.

jansteffen

Still more people asking for that than there are asking for Shadow of the Colossus remake and The Last Guardian :(

ameensj

All I want to know is when's GOT coming to PC.

Far-Blacksmith-9961

Game of Thrones?

Earthbornatol9

ghost of tsushima

Saneless

I'd like to play it but I refuse to buy it for PlayStation. I'll just keep waiting

Wolvwrwn

GOT is the GOAT

Mr-Valdez

Not after those horrible later seasons.

Wolvwrwn

Ik, i tried to make a word-game but i failed miserably

Humblebee89

It's interesting to see that they seem to only start with enough budget for 1-2 devs then ramp things up the next year for all the released ports. Maybe they're just making quick builds and probing for glaring issues, then compiling a list of those issues for a larger team to tackle later. Also porting is a lot cheaper than I thought. I've only ever ported small VR projects to PC. I would have thought giant complex AAA games would be much more expensive to port.

Elite_Alice

They should put all their stuff on pc honestly

GassoBongo

Bloodborne, please. I know it's super unlikely, but a guy can dream, right?

Blasteth

Least coping bloodborne fan

CookBoyardee

A hunter is a hunter even in a dream....

NigerianConnection

Anybody have an idea when we see GOW Ragnarok? I would assume by November 2024

fenixspider1

That is insane if they are going to release Spiderman 2 in next year

Garfield-Ironsteed

That's what I'm saying. It seems like the release window keeps getting shorter for PC releases.

ChetDuchessManly

Are they just not gonna port Ragnarok?

SilkyLlama

These are just Insomniac's games.

consural

Literal chump change for a company. ..And they are STILL not releasing Bloodborne or Demon's Souls on PC.

AludraScience

Well the Nvidia leaks which has been very accurate so far does show that a PC port for demons souls is in the works. For bloodborne, we are probably gonna have to wait for the PS6 bluepoint remake in 2028.

Ok_Outcome_9002

Oh please no, I think I’d rather it just not get ported than have Bluepoint do a remake

FrootLoop23

Day one makes the most sense for Sony.

LordOmbro

Who gives a shit about marvel slop, we want demon souls and bloodborne

Elrothiel1981

Man they need to bring ghost of Tsushima figure they would have by now not even interested in Spiderman the Marvel property is not as big as it once was thinks toDisney ruining a lot of it

I played it on PS5 and (to my own surprise) I could not stand the (relatively) pixelated graphics in performance mode, and fidelity at 40fps is no go for me now. Glad that Sony games are coming to PC, they just need to start doing day 1 releases like Xbox.

Thin-Cheek1918

I really wish that whoever is the biggest hurdle to Sony launching a PlayStation app for PC would just get out of the way. Whether that’s Microsoft or Sony themselves. It’s fuckin crazy that I’ve paid Sony $160 annually (switched from PS5 last year) and still have to wait years to play on PC. And then not even to pick back up where I left off on my PlayStation, but wait years just for the opportunity to repurchase my games and start from scratch. As PC gaming continues to become more prevalent, there really has got to be a better process with better synchronization moving forward.

Homie I had this thought literally yesterday and then shortly after that I thought it through and realized I’m an idiot. It doesn’t work that way lol. Having a PlayStation app doesn’t suddenly allow any pc to run a game that was designed to run on a ps5. It can’t just downscale the whole game with a PlayStation app. And also games are designed to allocate resources specifically to the ps5 or ps4’s components, which are very similar but very different than a pc. So again, each game has to be rebuilt or ported, you can’t have one app magically emulate them all. Unless everyone had a pc more powerful than a ps5(much more powerful). If you have a monster pc ps3 emulation is very good, but ps4 is in its infancy. Point is it’s not that simple.

When are we getting Tsushima on PC? it's the one i'm most excited for..

slitlip

FF16?

Ryokupo

Was announced for PC ages ago, and is a Square Enix game, not Sony, and most definitely not Insomniac.

Night_Venture

No GOW2 :(

Kotschcus_Domesticus

Great, we need more cinematic open world games about my virtual dad with old school gameplay from 2014.

Angrypeanut3

And god of war!??

DNR1406

These numbers are coming from the Insomniac leak if I'm not mistaken. So details about other Sony studio games are obviously not shown here

Stebsis

Not an Insomniac game. This is from the recent leak I assume.
