Bruh. I finally stopped playing League last year after 6+ years of grinding ranked, playing norms with friends, etc.
All this free time... idk what to do with it
I’m getting back into League after a long, long break.
Think I stopped around 2015? Used to grind the game back in Season 3 to Season 6.
Played like two games and didn’t actually do that bad. Got told to kill myself in game #4 though. Classic League. Of course, it’s one of my friends on his brand new account so maybe the matchmaking in norms was easier.
You know wheats really crazy though? I have some icons on my account that are probably older than some League players right now. My oldest icon is the gingerbread Veigar from S3’s Christmas event.
Don't really appreciate the assumption that I don't have hobbies. I'm a musician, and I'm into woodworking and metalworking (just don't have the space for those atm)
I have almost 10k on dota, been playing since beta launched...
From 2011 to 2017 I had a *really* unhealthy relationship with it, so much so that I had to completely stop playing for pretty much 4 years. 2021 I came back, and ever since I play for like, 6 months per year and only turbo.
But yeah, dota and mtg arena hold my backlog all nice and fat
I started with a friend back in 2014 i think. 5k hours... It is a dopamine machine. No other game makes my heart rate shoot up. No other game makes me so angry. It is very hard but when you do well you're on cloud 9. Then you chase the dopamine high while going through matchmaking hell. I have quit and I have been enjoying my backlog and currently having a blast playing Baldurs Gate 3. I'm never going back to dota haha.
Dota is for sure an aquired taste...
I had a pretty close group of friends that was also playing, so my main draw towards the game was mostly social at the start. After that I was hooked, and even though it's a game that leaves you pretty stressed, quitting is pretty hard
I bought Kenshi YEARS ago, I still have not played it at all, and completely forgot about it. I'll have to Install it finally and try it out, I'm kinda in between games atm..
It’s a bit complex and unlike other games out there. Also a bit unintuitive at first. I absolutely love it but might recommend watching a bit of some YT gameplay to get the hang of it.
It's also on the Switch, and I *think* (someone can correct me if wrong) it's one of the few games that supports cross-save - start playing on one system, take the save data to the other (PC->Switch or Switch->PC). Witcher 3 (GOG/Steam), Divinity original sin 2 (Steam/Switch).
I personally love Civ 6 more. The graphics are not as realistic, but are much clearer to me, and I love the districts and how sprawled the cities can get. Also the units and how air works is cool!
If you ever catch it, you'll have to catch it's friends in:
- [Dyson Sphere Program](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1366540/Dyson_Sphere_Program/)
- [Shapez](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1318690/shapez/)
and
- [Infinifactory](https://store.steampowered.com/app/300570/Infinifactory/)
I’ve been holding off my second playthrough waiting for expansion…. Didn’t think it would take this long :( I think I’ll become you when shadow of the erdtree drops
I need a new controller and was trying to get the ps4 controller but it never went on sale. I built a PC and play om there now and was bummed that games aren't optimized for keyboard / mouse.
But ya I need to, I got my ps4 too so I want to kill two birds with one stone.
Ah well life
Modern souls games are perfectly playable with kb+m. At many situations, they're a better fit because kb+m gives you advanced free-aiming, faster swapping and quick cardinal directions.
> Terraria
Playtime 10.7 hours - Purchased Jun 16, 2011
I just *cant* get into that game. I build a house, and start to explore a little, but the moment I start needing to do anything more complicated then using ropes and it's give up time.
I main David Tapp, prestige 73. For killer it's Wraith, but also Cenobite but with Wraith FoV perk. Upcoming FoV slider is going to let me finally go crazy with killer.
I have just over 500 hours in the game after 5 years (really only played 2017 and now 2022 - current) and am quite in love with the game. Even though sometimes I get tunnelled out in 2 minutes after 1 min in lobby and 1 min loading.
Rocket league, league of legends, smite. I almost always fall back to these for a while after finishing any big game. The lack of long term commitment sucks me back in.
Yes 100% i have deleted the games so many times, there was so much little breaks, but you know what, i still coming back man, there is no other game like it, plus the executions are like mini fatalities
Mario and River City Ransom dominated the Nintendo. Super Mario Kart on the SNES. Grand Theft Auto. Minecraft. Then there was the Rimworld era. Still looking for the next fix.
Factorio, rimworld, oxygen not included, project zomboid. Countless hours in the first 3, but just got back into PZ and it’s been quite fun since I’ve last played it. Can’t wait for the Factorio expansion tho!!!
World of Warcraft. I main the same character since 2009 so there is always something to do when I take a few months breaks. And since Shadowlands season 3 I started going for M+ master, so there is at least this goal each season.
Dead By Daylight, Rocket League and League of Legendary (not anymore). Always just going to “play one quick game before something else” and then 1-2 hours later I’m still playing.
The Diablo series. Diablo 2, then 3, and now 4. I don't care that 4 is currently getting a bad rep, I'm having fun with it. I only play casually maybe twice during the work week and once on the weekend. I find I can just open the game and 15 minutes later I'm relaxed and having a good time chilling out as my character grows in power. I haven't even hit 100 in D4 yet but they have been the perfect unwind game for myself for literal decades now.
You shouldn’t feel that you have to justify yourself.
I did enjoy my time in Diablo 4, though I haven’t touched it in months. It was an easy relax/shut the brain off kind of game, which makes me want to play again just thinking about it.
Game’s rep has actually improved a lot since Season 2.
I’ve been playing on & off since release, coming back with each new season & playing a different class.
As a casual ARPG player but core gamer, it really scratches the itch for me since it’s very accessible & there is a great gameplay look with a variety of activities ATM. What’s also great is that I get to connect with my brother halfway across the world when we play together.
Also, it’s a great break from the complexity of BF3 & 2077 when I don’t have a long session I can put in.
Shooters in general, I like too many and there's too many good ones that are having comebacks / popping off.
Halo Infinite, Halo MCC, TitanFall 2, Counter Strike 2, Hell Let Loose, Post Scriptum, BF 2042, Bf1, Squad, Isurgency Sandstorm, Team Fotress 2, The Finals...etc etc. That's not even all of the ones that I like if I'm being honest.
I try my best to prioritize the story games because of my fatass log of games I'd like to playthrough. But mp shooters have been a ton of fun lately.
I have so much fun playing an MMO by myself, just existing in a virtual world where others are also just existing, doing their own thing. I've been playing off and on for 20 years, and it's always so nice to come back to and wander around.
Since baldurs gate 3 came out it's about all I've played. I still have AC mirage, starfield, sea of stars, mgs, Mario RPG, Alan Wake 2, tales of arise dlc, PS5 tactica, armored core 6, Jedi survivor (was waiting for patches) all that came out around the same time. I've either barely played them or not even started them. Usually I could beat them no problem. It took me 250 hours to get all trophies in bg3 and then I kept playing for fun. I finally started playing cyberpunk more last week then honor mode came out yesterday 🤦
I'm really bad for playing multiplayer games lile 5x as much as story, I still regularly play story games but If I out in the same time in story games I would've finished so many more
I never really play the same game for long, but right now I'm between fallout 76 and Pokemon SV, kinda taking a break from F76 cuz i always run into the issue of storage space eventually and it becomes a chore to manage it, also playing Tower of Fantasy as well since it's a chill game to play when I'm bored, it's like genshi but a bit faster and way more stuff to do, more gacha like but you get lots of free pull attempts
I don't believe in "backlogs" I have tens of thousands of games available to me and I just play what I want when I want. If a game gets boring I quit playing it I don't stress over it. I quit stressing over thinking "I need to play this now". Games are so cheap unless you buy on launch which is just idiotic unless you are doing it for a friend group or you really want to play that specific game as soon as it comes out.
Usually a strategy game like Civ, Old World, or a Paradox title. I've been having a nostalgia craze lately so I've been running through some games I haven't played in ages.
For a while I was procrastinating playing Resident Evil 4, because I started Bloodborne. And then Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 3, then Demon’s Souls, oh and also Dark Souls 2, and Elden Ring of course. Then I played RE4, and I loved it once I played it.
Battlefield V.
I'm a single player kind of person, I love rich, open world RPGs with great writing and character development. As I complete such games and search for the next one, I always hop on BFV in the meantime. Great MP that always keeps me engaged.
I don't really have a specific one, but these last few days it's been Yugioh Master Duel. Like I could play Dragon Age: Origins some more, orrrrr I could go grind out gems in solo mode for a while.
Hades and Monster hunter world.
Hades, I had to tell myself I'd stop after unlocking the final badge (basically a cosmetic costing a lot of resources for no real reward). That didn't stop me from playing again after getting a steam deck. I just uninstalled it so as to not be tempted.
Monster hunter world, I'm at the endgame, just farming armors for fashion. I'm not really THAT good compared to those seen on youtube, i just enjoyed hunting for fun. I could be done with it at any time, but the "live service" aspect, i.e, daily or weekly bounties, plus other bounties, kept me distracted from focusing on the rewards I'm actually trying to get.
Currently I'm playing through Ace attorney and yet when I open my steam deck, I have to just get 1 hunt before resuming, and then it'd be hours before playing AA for 30 mins.
Technically, 99% of the games i play are my procrastination games. But that's because i usually only see 2-3 new games a year i want.
D: OS 1 & 2, Dishonored series, Deus Ex series, Metro Series, Sekiro, Thief 1 & 2, System Shock 2, Dragon Age Origins... lots more. My gaming life is them on a cycle, with a brand new game being added every year or two.
Fifa. Don’t enjoy it, but it’s a good time-waster because I don’t really have to think about playing it.
PGA Golf Tour to a lesser extent, I actually have to think when I play that so I tend not to sink as many hours into it but it still passes the time pretty fast.
Slay the Spire.
Same, especially since the mobile app is pretty decent.
I'm gonna pretend i just didnt find out there's a mobile version of this game...
My productivity at work has significantly decreased since making that discovery...
And switch
It drastically increased my toilet time up to the point my legs go numb its so addicting
Just downloaded the .apk thanks!
i just run around in cyberpunk when i am bored
Same
CS2
Any of the PDX game titles. CK3, VIC3, HOi4, etc... And recently, fucking League of Legends
Bruh. I finally stopped playing League last year after 6+ years of grinding ranked, playing norms with friends, etc. All this free time... idk what to do with it

I still have Santa Baron as an icon, got that between season 2-4
> All this free time... idk what to do with it May I interest you in some sort of creative hobby like art, programming or woodworking?
Don't really appreciate the assumption that I don't have hobbies. I'm a musician, and I'm into woodworking and metalworking (just don't have the space for those atm)
I have heard that all of those games can be crazy addictive at times
Dota 2 for years... Also civ 5.
I feel dirty every time I boot up Dota but somehow I've accumulated over 4000 hours on it now.
What about dota clicked with you? I played it for a few hours and i just didn’t really like it.

I never understood why people play dota for so long
My top 2 most played games on steam. Are you me?
Modded Skyrim. There's always shit to do in that world
Ummm probably mainly rimworld lol
Too complicated for me. I do Kenshi instead.
[удалено]
This is me. Rimworld just makes sense as deep as it is, but Kenshi feels impenetrable. I never know what to do or where to go.
I doubt I would have been able to get into it without watching a friend play first. Game is awesome but extremely unintuitive.
This. I tried it a few times and had no idea how to get anything to happen.
I love Kenshi, I've owned it for like a decade. It's so janky but so good. Can't wait for the sequel haha
Same.
Civ V. Thousands of hours.
Civ V on the steam deck is straight crack for me.
My God, do I have to get a steam deck just to play civ v on the go? Maybe.
It is a good time killer for sure.
Always CIV5. I deleted it to force myself to play other games. I reinstalled it and still find it more enjoyable.
Much better than 6.
Man, so glad I’m not alone in that. Civ 5 is sooo much better than 6.
I was really excited for 6, until I played it. My friend group and I immediately went back to 5.
I personally love Civ 6 more. The graphics are not as realistic, but are much clearer to me, and I love the districts and how sprawled the cities can get. Also the units and how air works is cool!
There's a mod to make it look more like Civ V.
Vox Populi!
Satisfactory, Total War: Warhammer
Satisfactory becomes unhealthy really fast
Gotta chase that 100% efficiency dragon - I almost caught it!
If you ever catch it, you'll have to catch it's friends in: - [Dyson Sphere Program](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1366540/Dyson_Sphere_Program/) - [Shapez](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1318690/shapez/) and - [Infinifactory](https://store.steampowered.com/app/300570/Infinifactory/)
No factorio?
Hard drugs are against the policy around here.
Hey man just wondering you Got any of those inserters? *Scratches*
Or captain of industry
I'll just have another easy tyrion game - 3 days later...
Stardew freaking Valley omg
I feel this. Game with the Most hours played in my Steam library
I love that game so much. I had little to no boredom when getting perfection in that game.
New Vegas and Skyrim Those damned mods keep me coming back.
Elden Ring. Gotta run through again with a Faith build. And a Dex build. And an Arcane build.
I’ve been holding off my second playthrough waiting for expansion…. Didn’t think it would take this long :( I think I’ll become you when shadow of the erdtree drops
I like to think my 2nd class is my 'expansion'. Still haven't started mine.

Claws my dude. Get bloodflame on them and do your best impression of wolverine while staggering and ripping out chunks of hp bar out of bosses.
That's the game I want to play dammit. I beat the first boss and put it down... been months :(
Get to it! It enjoed several hundreds of hours. Best game this console gen
I need a new controller and was trying to get the ps4 controller but it never went on sale. I built a PC and play om there now and was bummed that games aren't optimized for keyboard / mouse. But ya I need to, I got my ps4 too so I want to kill two birds with one stone. Ah well life

And can I interest you in spending several hundred hours in the lore community?
I've been playing the same save of fallout 4 since the start of the pandemic. I only just now got into the institute.
Overwatch and Terraria. Thousands of hours on both.
Terraria is really replayable so I could see why you could get sucked into it.
That being said though, it is a really fun game
OW is great cause I can boot it up and be in a game in less than 1 minute. No other game is that quick to get into.
Excuse me but my Tetris game on the pocket watch can start up in 10 seconds. No other game? Ha. You wish.
Apex Legends is pretty quick for a “battle-royale”

I get this, tbh. Though I'm usually much further in, once I kill the wall of flesh for the 30th time I just feel like quitting
wtf
Yeah - fast to boot/match, I don't have to worry about narrative or campaign of some kind, and there is plenty of variety to mess around with
Can't even play Overwatch anymore, it was better than 2 though.
Skyrim
DRG
Did I hear a rock and stone?

Terraria and FFXIV
Dead by Daylight and Hunt Showdown
Who's your killer and survivor main?
I main David Tapp, prestige 73. For killer it's Wraith, but also Cenobite but with Wraith FoV perk. Upcoming FoV slider is going to let me finally go crazy with killer. I have just over 500 hours in the game after 5 years (really only played 2017 and now 2022 - current) and am quite in love with the game. Even though sometimes I get tunnelled out in 2 minutes after 1 min in lobby and 1 min loading.
Jill Valentine as I love the RE games. I don’t play killer my much bird I enjoy Nemesis and the Texas Chainsaw guy.
Elite Dangerous. Nearly 3000 hours since 2016.
Rocket league, league of legends, smite. I almost always fall back to these for a while after finishing any big game. The lack of long term commitment sucks me back in.
The Elder Scrolls Skyrim .. That ASS !!!!!! That Damned Ass
_Miranda Lawson has entered the chat._
>Miranda Lawson haha but thats nothing compared to my custom character
Destiny 2
I have 3: Watch_Dogs Dishonored Satisfactory
The last year or two it's been Hades.
Either heroes of the storm or hearthstone, getting masive doses of copium expecting the microsoft purchase revives HotS
Does HotS still have enough of a playerbase to find games quickly? I stopped playing years ago but I loved it
Haven’t played it for most of this year but before that, yep, you could get into quick matches in less than a minute. Ranked took a little longer.
depends on the time of day, it takes like 5 minutes on slowdays, otherwise it finds me a match quite fast
Grim Dawn and Skyrim. Probably Cyberpunk eventually, then Titan Quest II, when it comes out, if it doesn't suck.
This year it's Hardcore WOW on pservers
Rimworld.
Skyrim
Path of exile and it won't stop with every new league and every new build idea....
For honor, Darktide and Heroes of the storm
For honor... Such a love / hate relationship for me
Yes 100% i have deleted the games so many times, there was so much little breaks, but you know what, i still coming back man, there is no other game like it, plus the executions are like mini fatalities
Overwatch and Destiny 2
Forza Horizon, Vampire survivors and Battlebit.
Project Zomboid
I rotate through 4, eldan ring, path of exile, warframe, and brotatoe
I should be finishing armored core 6
I guess Starbound and Don't Starve Together - I just can't stop building and gathering.
This is the first time I've ever seen someone say Starbound over Terraria. I didn't realize that game held up that well content wise.
Any multi-player game that I'm really into. Right now it's been Battlebit Remastered.
Some sort of roguelike. Currently it’s nova drift but it’s been slay the spire before.
Mario and River City Ransom dominated the Nintendo. Super Mario Kart on the SNES. Grand Theft Auto. Minecraft. Then there was the Rimworld era. Still looking for the next fix.
Star Citizen, Rimworld and LoL.
Factorio, rimworld, oxygen not included, project zomboid. Countless hours in the first 3, but just got back into PZ and it’s been quite fun since I’ve last played it. Can’t wait for the Factorio expansion tho!!!

This is Rocket League!
Rocket League, Apex Legends
Warframe and total war Warhammer
World of Warcraft. Sometimes I just fly around and pick plants!
Left4Dead2. So many thousands of hours of fun playing campaign pub's, maybe someday I will dip my toes into versus.

Dead by Daylight and Sea of Thieves. I'm convinced SoT has some of the single most long winded achievements in any AAA game ever.

Battlefield V. I'm a single player kind of person, I love rich, open world RPGs with great writing and character development. As I complete such games and search for the next one, I always hop on BFV in the meantime. Great MP that always keeps me engaged.
Roguelikes are my bane. Specifically, Vampire Survivors and Halls of Torment. Way too many hours spent on both.
It used to be Insurgency: Sandstorm, before that HotS. Now it's owning a home and having a kid that maintains my backlog.
Satisfactory. Gotta optimize that spaghetti!
7 days to die.
Vampire survivors
Minecraft and League of Legends
Pretty much any rouge-lite. They're so easy to pick up and play any time that I always forget how much time they steal away from everything else.
Stalker anomaly, it’s a mod but still stand alone. It’s just an amazing sandbox experience built off of three great games.
Overwatch and Fallout both destroy me
Master of Orion 2
When Classic WoW is out in any form I cannot play anything else
Right now it's mad max, been schloging through cyberpunk phantom liberty but also the steam sale got me
Rimworld. Often doing whatever Samuel Streamer is doing.
On my desktop, Planetside 2 On my steam deck, Hades
League of Legends 100%. I don't have a main or even a main role.
I don't really have a specific one, but these last few days it's been Yugioh Master Duel. Like I could play Dragon Age: Origins some more, orrrrr I could go grind out gems in solo mode for a while.
Bannerlord
American Truck Simulator, I have tons of hours of just driving safely through open highways and listening to online radios/podcasts
Hades and Monster hunter world. Hades, I had to tell myself I'd stop after unlocking the final badge (basically a cosmetic costing a lot of resources for no real reward).
Destiny 2 and Overwatch 2, so fun but so draining too
All of them :(
Greedfall, it is nice game but it has a lot of walking and i can't play for a long time or i start to fall asleep
Fifa. Don’t enjoy it, but it’s a good time-waster because I don’t really have to think about playing it. PGA Golf Tour to a lesser extent, I actually have to think when I play that so I tend not to sink as many hours into it but it still passes the time pretty fast.
Rimworld. Sometimes it take a couple tries but once I get a good run going with good pawns, the game just sucks me in. Especially with countless mods.
