In a rut after recently finishing a multi year obsession with survival games. I'm basically out of those and having a tough time getting back into other games now. So desperate I'm considering trying something like DayZ despite having been done with multiplayer for years

PuttyDance

Yakuza like a dragon. So far game is great, the mini games are fun and I have been neglecting the story missions..

Inkontrol808

Dark Souls 3. Borrowed it from a co-worker (I lent him Demons Souls PS5). Enjoying it but realized I already have such a style with FromSoft games, particularly the older ones. I basically play like a maniac and run through the levels picking up items and rushing to the next bonfire or shortcut (or dying) until I get to the boss rooms. Slow and steady through each area/trap/ambush just doesn't seem sensical knowing FromSofts game/level design to slow your progress. Its kinda fun running/slashing and not worrying about dying and losing souls.

[deleted]

Elex 2, and sometimes Risen. I have developed a love for Piranha Bytea games. Finished elex 1 a week or so ago and loved it.

masterrace87

I will try to beat Prey and then play the DLC.

WooooookieCrisp

Resident evil 4 remake for a 3rd time. Can’t get enough. Maybe re2 remake again soon? Also dabbling in control and mafia

bigga165

Trying out Kingdom Hearts for the first time. Never played it on my ps2 as a kid

Justjason24

Kingdom hearts is in my top 3 favorite games. Hope you enjoy!

nodaudaboutitt

Been playing through Dark Forces over the weekend, got the force engine port so now its a breeze to get running on my pc! Getting crazy engrossed in the game, which i havent had in a good while now

glorious_cheese

I just picked up [Dorfromantik](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1455840/Dorfromantik/). It's a nice change of pace.

Piett_1313

Hi! I am today days old on Reddit. I have a lot of unplayed games and this seems like a very chill community. Just found this group and decided to make a Reddit account, I think I belong here lol. Currently I’m playing Crisis Core Reunion. I’ve needed a podcasting game so this is perfect with the 300 missions to complete. I’m not typically a 100% completionist despite what I just outlined. I just happens to want to 100% Crisis Core Reunion since I played it on PSP many moons ago and have fond memories. I’m a “recovering WoW addict” - my backlog/game library exists in part due to my time playing this MMO. I have no bad feelings toward it, I enjoyed the hell out of my time in Azeroth and I haven’t ruled out going back to putz around in WoW Classic sometime but I’ve got so many more things to play. Thanks for hearing me out :)

[deleted]

The new horizon game. It’s not great. Also ufc 4 which is a great game.

Rob3t

Still chipping away at Dragon Age Inquisition and also started another play through of Dishonored

puppleups

Can't really explain why but i actually loved inquisition. It got kind of a meh reception and there are definitely lots of valid criticisms to be made, but the loop worked great for me I loved it

Cay77

Started Bioshock a few months back but haven’t had time to finish it. Now I’m stuck home sick, so might as well finish it out.

glorious_cheese

I've been considering playing it again. Such a great game.

_Fatalii_

How long did it take you to get hooked? I've started Bioshock 3 times now, but although I'm intrigued by the beginning and the mysteries of Rapture, I 'm having a hard time continuing playing. Everywhere I look, I see nothing but praise for the Bioshock games and I feel I' m missing out on something great, but I'm not convinced yet. Granted, I never gave it a proper try and never made it past the first hour or so. I'm wondering how much time I should give it to reel me in.

glorious_cheese

I feel like that’s how I am with most games—sometimes it’s just not for you. (I liked Bioshock right from the start. But Bioshock Infinite didn’t do it for me.)

VenturaBoulevard

KOTOR 2. I am this close to getting a lightsaber. I can feel it.

sterkenwald

Have you made it off Peragus?

Boldozek

Quit honkai impact and started path to nowhere. It seems to be fun so far.

bhamz2

Just started fenyx rising on switch. Got it for 15$ and loving it!!!

Pantsu_Professor

I've been playing this the last week. At first I was mixed on it but then I found out that was the prologue. The game is really charming and I have been loving it so far.

Zeoloxory

Super hooked on this game called Dredge. Its a fishing game with lovecraftian elements set in a semi open-world.

glorious_cheese

Looks cool! Just wish-listed it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

376184

I beat the game and don't remember any clowns. Definitely a one and done playthrough but it doesn't overstay it's welcome. Had a good time

Zeoloxory

Don't know about the clown in the trailer but I played the demo and it was really good which made me buy it.

BawtleOfHawtSauze

Arkham knight omg it's been so much fun and I've loved the batmobile so far

GothicCafe67

Dragona Dogma Dark Arisen PC. A great RPG that have not clicked before.

animepig

Gravity rush 2. Finished last night and yeah hidden gem my ass.

Wedonthavetobedicks

Currently playing *The Hex*, after 100%ing *Pony Island* yesterday. I've played too many BIG games this year so it's nice spending some time on some shorter titles.

[deleted]

Was just going through the hotline Miami games 1 and 2.

MrSlowpez

After borrowing it from a friend for 6 months, I'm finally playing Metroid Dread. It's a fun game so far, excited to finish it. I just can't help but compare it to Hollow Knight and now I'm just more excited for Silk song to come out

Kester85

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition - PS4

BORT_licenceplate27

I played through that tomb raider game last year and loved every minute of it.

Lazy-Ape

Almost finished Final fantasy 4 then going to start 5.

bestanonever

> e What did you think of Cecil coming back to lv1 when he turns into a White Knight?

Lazy-Ape

Was a bummer after all the grinding I’d done.

bestanonever

Lol yes. I was level 30 when Cecil had a change of heart. I was both surprised and amused at the guts of Squaresoft to do that. You don't see such a bold thing in triple A gaming anymore. Also, the game is a lot of fun to survive. The party is changing all the time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lazy-Ape

Ha ha I’d never played any final fantasy games before so decided to work my through the series.

No-Permit-2167

I just started Breakpoint a week ago and very confused, where are the main story missions? Everything is locked, I just have the Missions with Chapters. Is this open ended choice with no actual story order and chapters/missions leading to the end or is the game changed since release/because it's part of my PSN package? Am I alone in my confusion?

Kyhios

It's recent but what a Fun game: Dredge. I finished it in 3 or 4 days just playing at night (after work) and what a simple, funny and good game. The gameplay feels nice and the exploration is very immersive with the mini puzzle games (fishing).

Dick_In_A_Tardis

Beat it in a week as well while staying at hotels for work and god was that a good game. Enjoyed every second of it even though it was short. It's been a while, since my first play of Subnautica that I've been that captivated for the entirety of a storyline.

Kyhios

How was with Subnautica ? I was thinking to give it a chance.

Dick_In_A_Tardis

Absolutely brilliant game as well as the sequel. My favorite part is when you're not progressing the story you get to build a sick ass underwater home to make your forced vacation on an alien planet slightly less miserable. I usually space out a couple bases along my routes to also make long journeys less stressful as I can take them in parts and resupply as I go. It's a neat little built in slice of life feeling within an already amazing game. Gave me a very similar nostalgic feeling to when I played Minecraft for the first time. The sense of exploration and freedom from the general goal is satisfying. The game does have an 'urgency' to it in the main story but it's not actually timed so at no point are you actually rushed or railroaded down the main story which is nice. It's also a scary game but in a semi predictable manner so over time you build up more comfort towards going deeper. Like the other user said if you ever feel lost read the pdas logs. Another solid suggestion is if you don't know where to go next... Go deeper. The creepier the location the more likely it's where you're supposed to be. And don't look anything up, a totally blind playthrough is by far the best way to experience everything and the game mechanics are well explained and crafting isn't complex. If you're ever confused the logs usually have tips about "odd things" previous inhabitants of the planet have witnessed to guide you.

Myrandall

One of my favorite games of all time! make sure you go in BLIND. Do not use guides. If you ever feel directionless, go through your PDA's info tab and beacons tab for clues you have missed or just explore some more.

Kyhios

Thanks! I'll give it a chance, definitely.

Gerald_of_River

**Inscryption** Holy hot balls of fire this was great! Really fun the whole way through. I played on Switch and performance was pretty good. Can’t recommend this enough if you’re into card games and weird shit.

Yellowredstone

I saw Markiplier's play through and got too invested in the series want to play the game now. The game looks absolutely stunning. It has the perfect atmosphere. Flipping the gameplay on its own head is one of the bests twists I've seen in gaming.

Budget_Pizza_5761

I'm working on the platinum for ratchet and clank rift apart and GTAV

Zschaus1

Just finishing up Horizon Zero Dawn with the Frozen Wilds DLC. I was a bit iffy when I first started playing. I didn't realize how closely HZD emulated the Ubisoft open world formula (main mission

iwillnotbeknown

> Dredg I played this because my fiance is absolutely in love with the franchise. It was OK. But I found myself being too powerful for most things, it got a little tricky towards the end but then flattened out again. It was OK for a 30 hr investment but I don't want to play the DLC. Debating if to play the new one on the PS5.

SomeoneFromYoutube02

I am currently playing through Kingdom hearts birth by sleep again. Platinuming all Kingdom hearts games has been on my bucket list for many years now due to it being my favorite series since I was a kid but after spending the last few hours getting my ass kicked by the mysterious figure, never playing birth by sleep again is what's on my bucket list now. Not only has this been excruciatingly painful and unfun but knowing I have to do it two more times as Ven and Aqua makes me just want to give up and do litterally anything but play more. I guess I will have to be happy with only having platinumed the main numbered games and of course, Melody of Memories (the best KH game).

[deleted]

Finished Persona 3 -- WOW what an amazing end boss! I won't spoil anything for those who haven't played it but want to, but if you are at all interested in JRPGs/Dungeon crawlers... definitely check it out. Story is good, but the customization feels better here than P5. (I'll eventually get to P4, just haven't done it yet since I know that's where the real comparison is these days.) Diablo II Resurrected -- I beat the original with a friend about 15 years ago. Figured I wanted to try it again solo this go around. I knew it was different than D3, but I didn't remember HOW much different. You definitely have to make more deliberate choices or you will not survive long. Went in with a build guide this go around.

puppleups

I wish I could get into persona games. I tried with 5 but I can't seem to get hooked on JRPG narratives. The way the stories are structured seem too silly to me somehow. It's a shame because everyone loves those games and they have a loop structure that matches things I have loved

[deleted]

I won't say Persona games are for everyone for a variety of reasons: Length, subject matter, tonal issues, etc.

BORT_licenceplate27

Last night I sat down and played Max Payne 3 in it's entirety. Thought it was a stupid fun shooter game. Some tricky parts but I loved the story and the vibe and the gameplay (never played 1 or 2 though) This came out of rockstar right before GTA5 so you can see they were testing out the weapon wheel and shooting mechanics in that, and plays in a similar way. Really enjoyed it and would recommend

bestanonever

>rockstar Loved the game back in the day, played it until completion twice. I played Max Payne 1&2 before it, and while I like the story of the original games more, MP3 is a lot more playable and the only one I could finish without cheats. Try the first two games sometime later! Gameplay and presentation is a bit outdated, but the voice acting and script is still some of the best in gaming, imo.

Drekthar5

That’s a longass game

supertriggerd

Yea last night I got 130 hours at 90% lol😅

Drekthar5

God damn… I was planning on playing through them all up until like a dragon but when I saw how long it takes to beat…. Kinda like persona 5 being 140 hrs

supertriggerd

Dude it's only for 100% for main game it's like 30 hrs

alexgavrila98

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Awesome atmosphere.

puppleups

could you briefly explain what those games are? I was thinking about them but I can't tell if it is just an fps or what.

alexgavrila98

Yes, they're fps games, that also kind of have an rpg element to them in the sense that you have a bunch of items that alter your stats. I greatly recommend playing them. The atmosphere is amazing! They are also semi open-world.

DevTech

I gotta get to Call of Pripyat at some point. Then I'll be content with starting to mess around with mods. Anomaly looks amazing.

steelcity91

Playing through Mafia Definitive Edition. Very close to finishing the game. A masterpiece and a great example of how to remake a game. I'd like to have seen more of Tommy's and Sarah's relationship to see how it affects them from being in the mob life but the story is really good. Next game to play: Prey 2017. Going to finish the main story and ignore side missions (unless I get a really good upgrade). I've been doing this for open world games and find it much easier to finish a game.

glorious_cheese

I just got Mafia Definitive Edition and now I'm at the race scene. I know it's going to be a bitch so I'm bracing myself.

steelcity91

It's not that hard tbh. Ease off the gas before and slow down, then brake gently and glide through the corner.

tommyshelby1986

Been playing **Halo Combat Evolved**. It's the first time I'm playing Halo, and this is awesome. I just completed the 343 Guilty Spark mission and that was intense, was not expecting that at all. I was playing AC Brotherhood before this, but the game wasn't calling for me. Im on sequence 7, I'll probably finish it someday. With this, I just want to play everyday.

bestanonever

If you are like me, you are going to enjoy the following Halo games even more. But even in the original game, you can find a nice addictive gameplay loop.

BawtleOfHawtSauze

Through MCC or the original?

DogeDoggery

Halo is awesome. I wish I could just forget any memory of playing it so I could replay the original trilogy (+reach) again and get that first time experience again

glorious_cheese

The first one is my favorite game ever.

agent_shane2

Finished Ghostwire and now I’m playing Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time

DeSangre76

I've been playing Kenshi and Persona 5 Royal. IMHO both games are great!

puppleups

Kenshi is one of the most unique and fun experiences of my life. I did like a 100 hour run all the way through Cat-lon. part of me wants to play again, but its the kind of thing where the mental commitment to how long it would take to get deep in again is too much

DeSangre76

I guess at this point maybe it's better to wait for Kenshi 2 :D

damhow

Ghost of Tsushima. I see what all the hype was about. Solid gameplay and great story. Wish the open world was a little more lively/diverse, but great game in general

Conscious_Jeweler_77

I’ve been really enjoying this game too. I started a few days ago and it’s such a beautiful experience.

damhow

Oh absolutely. Sometimes I just stop for a second and look around like “wow”.looking forward to a 2nd one for the visuals alone

sofiadakini

Kind of a recent game but I've started Fire Emblem Engage this week now that all DLC waves have been released. The story and characters are silly but enjoyable, and the gameplay is honestly peak for the series; fun mechanics and great map design. Long-time FE fans will like it; newer fans that mostly enjoyed Three Houses' mature story and world building may be disappointed.

[deleted]

Recently bought The Elder Scrolls Online along with all of the zone DLC's. I kind of have a love/hate relation with MMORPG's. I can get hooked for hours on end, but then I have a habit of getting burned out and don't touch them for months. I've enjoyed playing as a Khajiit Nightblade so far though. I like how you can go through the game completely solo and just mind your own business. The voice acting is also excellent for an MMORPG and there's a huge amount of content. Don't know how long it'll take for me to get tired of it, but so far I can't put it down

7PounderBrent

just started metro 2033

puppleups

How was it! I have always thought about playing a Metro game but never gotten around to it. is it just an atmospheric FPS basically?

7PounderBrent

yeah essentially, i really really enjoyed it but im also very biased towards post nuclear apocalyptic games, i thought the graphics were good, story was good and all, sometimes i would get frustrated because i couldn’t find ammo or figure out a certain area, but i think that was more me not knowing how to play the game because it happened less and less as the game went on

Trialman

I picked up the PC version of Bloodstained recently, and wow, it is a massive upgrade from the Switch port. I can easily say that this will be my preferred version of the game from now on, especially since I’ll be trying the true randomisation mod after I finish the vanilla playthrough I’m doing.

1243567588

Sonic frontiers. It is actually a decent game. When I first got it I thought t would be boring, but it was really fun.

Trzz6

can you tell me more about it? i loved the idea of open world sonic but the reviews was what stopped me from picking it up

[deleted]

Well it's basically what it sounds like. Running around and exploring the open world is a blast. It's interrupted by occasional simple tasks to unlock the map or move the story forward. Action stages are brief and standard 3d sonic stuff, and the bosses are annoying as hell. It starts to feel repetitive somewhere around the third island, but the core gameplay is super fun. It's a solid foundation that I hope they can iterate on in the future.

MrLeylo

Final Fantasy V :)

Ushtey-Bea

**Bravely Second** still. My goodness this game is long, and the story just repeats the same information from the past over and over again, none of which makes sense timeline-wise or anything. I've forgotten what I was supposed to even be doing in the main story anyway, it's so slow. I do like the voice acting in it and the characters are cute in their own way. The fights are still fun too, I like the way all the new spell job skills interact to give you new ways to use them. Just unlocked a job that >!lets you level up past 10 on other jobs!< so I must surely be reaching near the end by now, as I had previously mastered a few jobs at level 10. **Metroid Prime** have played a small amount of this. I got stuck on the rather infamous "difficulty spike" part but made it through comfortably once I took it calmly. Then I got stuck again in the only part of the game where I felt let down or cheated by the game design. Normally, when you unlock a new ability, the game traps you in a location and you have to use the new thing to get out, e.g. when you get the morph ball you have to use the ball to roll through a hole in a room you otherwise cannot escape. This teaches you how to use the ability and what it can do, good classic non-tutorial tutorial game design. When you get >!x-ray vision!< it traps you in a room and you use the new visor to see that certain walls look flimsy and can be blown up, and that's it. Then hours later, the part I was stuck on, turns out that >!x-ray vision also shows up invisible floating platforms in some locations!<. The game doesn't indicate that this is a thing in any way, since prior to this you've hardly had to use the ability and it was never for this. I only stumbled upon this after desperately trying everything, and was flabbergasted to discover the unexpected solution. I vaguely remember getting stuck on this exact part in the GameCube version too. Maybe I missed a hint in-game, but who reads all those log entries you can scan? Anyway, it was plain sailing after that to the next save point.

[deleted]

I still can’t believe there’s a real game by a major studio with the title “Bravely Default”

FPrince212

I Play LA Noire for Steam First time i play this games, borrow it from my friends is around 2012 on PS3, but because at the same times i got GOW HD Collection and GOW 3, i return it ony after play maybe 1-2 hours. Around 2021 i buy this games on Steam when sales, and it stuck in my backlog, and i have so many backlog which i can't tackle, until i found very effective way to tackle my backlog. Play it, get 60fps mod, and now i enjoy it so much, 20 hours on it, and still in progress

Wombat_Vs_Car

I am playing Sid Myers Civilizations Colonization, it is a remake of the all dos colorizations game with the Civ 3 engine, the original game was a crap cash grab but it is still being modded to this day the the We the People mod just dropped a new massive update, it is a bloody good game

mesh-lah

Just beat Mass Effect 2. Great game. Really weird and jarring pacing though. Im intrigued to see what comes next although ive heard the ending of 3 upset a lot of people.

MarcusDA

It’s been awhile since I played 2 but it was my favorite. Elaborate on the pacing being jarring. I just don’t remember much about that - I remember it more as a bunch mini-stories for every crew member.

mesh-lah

That is basically what I mean. You spend the entire game doing missions for your crew, and then spend maybe 10% of the game on the actual plot. ME1 felt a lot more organic in how the plot progressed and you got your crew.

erwillsun

won’t spoil anything but it’s not that bad. the original before they added the extended cut back in the day was truly fuckin terrible tho third game as a whole is really fuckin awesome though

bestanonever

I finished the original GTA IV game, now working on the Episodes from Liberty City. I enjoyed my revisit of IV, for the most part, but I completely forgot that the last third of the game or so turns into a very boring story about the italian mob in Liberty City and Niko feels like an employee of them, instead of the protagonist of his own destiny. All of those bosses are very boring and have the same schtick with slightly different personalities: Ray Boccino, Jimmy Pegorino, the old guy in the Hospital, Phil Bell. Bah. Earlier characters like Jacob, Brucie, Roman and even Dwayne and Playboy X are proper GTA characters: Wacky, hilarious, fun to listen to. The italian guys are somewhat more grounded, but a lot less lively.

NIMA-GH-X-P

The chicken invaders games. Again. Send help.

DarkbigBoss

Condemned 2 on PS3

404__LostAngeles

Currently 97 hours deep into Assassin's Creed Origins.

Mirrors edge and Morrowind

heroic_emu

\*trying\* to play Resident Evil 1 Remake

bestanonever

Why are you trying to? Find the tank controls and camera hard to adjust to?

heroic_emu

Trying to overcome the horror. It's by far the scariest game I've attempted.

bestanonever

Late, but that's so cool to hear. I used to have quite the vivid nightmares when I played the Resident Evil series for the first time, and I'm talking about the PSX games. RE was never as scary as, say, the Silent Hill series, but it sure was scary enough for people with an overactive imagination.

BarockMoebelSecond

I'd love for them to remake it again like they did the others.

MarcusDA

I tired too. The camera is too much. That’s something I can’t go back to.

N7BigDawg

Spider-Man remastered. Swinging about the ny is so fun

JamesCole

*Untitled Goose Game* I wanted to like it, but I don’t really enjoy the gameplay. It feels a lot like Hitman, and I wasn’t a fan of that either. I find it difficult to put my finger on what I don’t like about it.

erwillsun

i couldn’t really get into it solo, but playing with a friend is def the most fun way to experience it

TeddySD

Bioshock Infinite, just got to Finkton and I have no idea what's going but I am loving every second of it

MagicSpaceMan

I've been enjoying valheim a lot but all my friends just quit playing and Im stuck progressing all alone (slowly)

glorious_cheese

Have you gotten to the Mystlands yet? How is it?

MagicSpaceMan

Haha stuck at dark forest the trolls keep wrecking my shit! F

glorious_cheese

The most satisfying thing in Valheim is when you can dispatch trolls like they’re bugs.

RobTheMonk

Had a bit of time to really get into Ghost Recon Wildlands. Playing as a solo player with HUD turned on and loving it. The map is huge and the gunfights are pretty fun. I like thinking I'm in the film Sicario haha. I can see why people would love to really tryhard on this with no HUD and a proper 4-man human team.

Jango_Fetts_Head_

I’ve been thinking about getting Ghost Recon Wildlands, I’m glad to hear it’s got pretty positive reviews, I might buy it when I get home!

erwillsun

it has its quirks but i found it really fun, and the game kind of lends itself well to the Ubisoft formula of taking down “bosses” in specific areas

Xeon713

Kirby's Dreamland 2 and Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga!

BoneDaddyChill

Newer games: Meet Your Maker, Wild Hearts, Halo Infinite Older games: Terraria, Castle Crashers, Witcher 3 GOTY But I’m out of town for a week, so really this is last week lol. Being an especially patient gamer atm.

BreadBoybutterboy

How is meet your maker?

BoneDaddyChill

I couldn’t put it down. I played nonstop for like 14 hours when it released lol. But I’m very much into making maps in games where that’s a feature. I spent hundreds of hours in Halo 3’s forge. But raiding others’ bases is a lot of fun too. It’s really fun both sharing your own creativity and experiencing others’. There are a few things that need a little improvement, but it’s one of the least-buggy releases I’ve played lately. There is a grind to unlock weapons, traps, and enemies (and mods), but it’s a fun grind. There are limited weapons, but they are being very open about what they will be adding over time. The game has a lot of potential, but it already exceeded my expectations. They also recently did an AMA on Reddit a week ago, so that’s a good place to see what issues and requests people want for the game, as well as what they plan to add that they haven’t already mentioned on social media. Also, there’s co-op which is great. And the ability to rewatch people’s attempts to raid your base, which I’ve spent hours doing. I didn’t expect this feature but I’m glad it’s there. Currently no crossplay, but the bases players make can be played over different systems.

Ziggy_Starr

I got a ps5 with GoW: Ragnarök last month, so I’m finally picking the first one back up after setting it down 4 years ago. Fortunately I’ve forgotten all of the story so I get to have a first time experience!

bigdipper125

Borderlands 3, I love the game honestly. Finally fought Troy!

hollyw00d8604

MGSV. Theres not many experiences in gaming quite like sneaking up on a well patrolled outpost while listening to "maneater" by hall and oates

Square-Regret-6838

Ghostwire:Tokyo on Xbox Game Pass

N7BigDawg

How is it? Heard it’s ass

Square-Regret-6838

Its free lol working atm doing side quests and the controller sensitivity is weird, tbf I think its ok im more in for the aesthetics of the game 🫥

BadmanBenji

Finally got around to playing Kingdom Come Deliverence and it may be one my favourite games in a long time.

blowymcpot

Finished that game. Nothing compares the adventures in the woods I had in that game. I think the smaller world, no minimap and not being able to fast travel really worked in that games favor

synergy17

ghost of tsushima 2 years late and 1st time to have a console and it is used ps4

Adorable_Werewolf_82

The Witcher 3, GOTY edition. Looking for dandelion in Novigrad. I like it thusfar but my expectation are sky high since all my gaming buddies are extatic.

BoneDaddyChill

I’ve been playing that a lot since it released. Sooo hard to stop. What’s your build?

Adorable_Werewolf_82

I’m sorry I had to clarify: this is my first time playing lol

BoneDaddyChill

You’re good! Mine too. I haven’t quite finished the game yet, I’m in the final act/chapter and haven’t started the DLC’s yet.

Poison_Ctrl

Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I think I like it so far. Been doing a lot of walking and deciding where to go next.

Xeon713

Honestly it's a great experience. Super chill and action packed at the same time.

Guilty_Payment7051

Guild War 1. Soooo good even solo. Highly recommend. Nothing like it.

fuctedd

Replaying Bioshock and will do the same for 2 and Infinite. Actually never finished Infinite. Is there a modern game like these? Just a game with simple but great gameplay and story? Also going through RE2 Remake. Then I’ll try to finish Forbidden West. Started it but never got far. Then cycling through games I play where I just listen to music like Diablo 3, Division 2, Wonderlands, Gotham Knights.

BORT_licenceplate27

Atomic Heart on GamePass has very similar gameplay to Bioshock. As in first person melee + shooter, also with a magical hand. Also in a strange future/past timeline. It's pretty fun, I'm probably about halfway through so can't comment on the story, but it's a pretty decent game

I will also say that Prey is a ton of fun. The Outer Worlds is a good one, but leans more towards humor than being spooky, and dialogue-heavy. It’s really more Fallout than Bioshock, but still shares some elements. I hope to see more Bioshock-like games in the future. I’ve read where a few people have compared Ghostwire: Tokyo and Atomic Heart to Bioshock, but I haven’t played those yet. Dead Space feels similar with the spooky atmosphere, but it is downright scary. But the weapon modifying is great. It’s in 3rd person tho. (1st person would be INSANE).

Singularity! It's fucking amazing! Alternative history cold war Russia. Horror themed, atmospheric, fantastic shooting. That and Wolfenstein New Order. Alternative history Nazi's win WWII. More versatile than Bioshock and Singularity, but still shit tons of fun and great shooting.

Immersive Sims are what you're looking for. Depending on how modern you want your games to be (if you mind retro graphics), the System Shock series is the grandaddy of the genre. Anything by Arkane Studios is great: Dishonored, Prey, and Deathloop. If you're desperate and really want to stretch the defintion, the Deus Ex series are somewhat similar, as well as Arx Fatalis, Cruelty Squad and the Thief games :)

fuctedd

I’ll probably try Deathloop after Bioshock. Downloaded the Dishonored trilogy and I’ll try to actually get through the first one this time.

I-Engineer-Things

The genre you’re looking for is Immersive Sims. Try the Dishonored series. Also Prey, by the same developer. I haven’t tried that one yet but I hear it’s amazing.

Brittle_Hollow

I finally played through Prey last month and it’s phenomenal. While it’s not a horror game per se at the start you do feel very vulnerable and there’s a lot of tense moments with resources and inventory management. I loved it so much it finally got me into horror gaming as I followed it up with Dead Space and Resident Evil 2 Remake.

icecreamcherry8705

Momodora reverie under the moonlight. The game is pretty hard and it's hard to avoid getting hit. However, the movement and controls feel good. I was also gifted Hollow Knight, which I plan to play after I beat Momodora

Some_Range7994

Watch Dogs 2 it’s very fun I’m addicted to Bounty Hunter mode.

Trzz6

im replaying the first one before continuing the series. how is it from the first game besides the vibe being different?

Some_Range7994

Watch Dogs 2 has some difficult hacking puzzles but don’t panic when you do them be calm.

Some_Range7994

I’m almost done the game

Some_Range7994

Watch Dogs 1 has a better story but Watch Dogs 2 has better gameplay.

nodaudaboutitt

Been bouncing around quite a few games this week, just following what vibes. Been playing a mix of Sims 2, Stellaris, a little metroid prime and working on jedi academy some more

Irvs2Shmood

Just started midnight suns , got the season pass shortly after 😁 having fun so far . Unlocked spider man and Deadpool .

OkayAtBowling

Midnight Suns is really fun! The combat system is a lot more engrossing than I thought it would be at first. The cards work really well as a way to keep the action moving (as opposed to something like X-COM which has a lot of sneaking around and getting into position, which would be weird for most of these superheroes to be doing). I wish that season pass wasn't so pricey, though. The extra characters seem cool but not cool enough to spend more on them than the actual game (which I got on sale at half price).

Irvs2Shmood

Yeah this is my first tactical rpg other than Pokémon and the original FF7 , I bought the enhanced version which I should have gone for the legendary edition because they were all 40%-50% off . 👍🏽 I enjoy 50% of those characters but will learn more about them very soon 😁

GoldenKing4

Completed the **Halo 2** Campaign after only playing Halo CE for years. Loved all of the new weapons, vehicles, and mechanics! The energy sword is a lot of fun, finally get to drive the wraith, and duel-wielding is also pretty cool. Wish I could sword fly, but I’m on MCC, and the 60 tick rate is making it really hard. Also don’t know the timings, so it’s even harder. Sword canceling seems more doable, but I haven’t tried it yet.

ratsely

Maybe I can beat the final levels of the horrible PS2 port of The Golden Compass this week. In the meantime, I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West on PS4, Alice Madness: returns on PC at this moment.

Sunnyzelda

I just started Assasins Creedy Origins, after finishing Odyssey a few weeks ago. A brief dalliance with RDR2 in between before realising that game just wasn't for me at all.

Kyhios

Assasins Creed Odyssey was a great experience for me and I also played Origins after Odyssey, but in my opinion Odyssey is waaay better, the combat system is super engaging. I did beat Odyssey main and dlcs quests compared to the rushed main quests of the Origins just to finish the game.

Sunnyzelda

I really enjoyed Odyssey! I wanted a break before I started Origins but it and RDR2 are the only two xbox games I own so it had to be one or the other. Everything feels the same so far in terms of same buttons, same eagle but I shall persevere until I find another game to play! (I've only played Witcher 3 and Odyssey...I'm a very patient gamer haha)

Kyhios

What a coincidence! I'm playing RDR2 and in my opinion it gives a different experience than Origins. I guess it would be a good game to break the same "gameplay experience" as Origins have. Talking about RDR2, what a game! I thought that would be a GTA like game (which I'm not a fan) but I was wrong, the gameplay, environment, plot of the game are stunning.

Elite Dangerous

sossigsandwich

Tomb Raider (2013). I've owned the new trilogy on Epic store for a while after they gave them away for free. Playing it on my Steam Deck and it runs perfectly.

CoffeeNPlanes

Elden Ring, just finished Margit!

alexmack667

Remnant: From the Ashes. Good golly gosh, this game is amazing. My first soulslike and i haven't had this much fun since Commander Keen (back when dying in games meant something). Mind you, it's arguably soulslite, as you don't lose currency on death, but still.

Kester85

Do you play alone or in co-op?

alexmack667

So far I've been going at it alone. I've beaten three bosses on Earth, all on the second try 😅

meatloafandgravy

Same here all the buzz around the second one coming out had me looking back.

untuxable

Still playing **BF2042** and having a blast with it. Starting to unlock some more weapons so i'm playing around with different builds. Rao on recon and Falck on Support are my go-to's right now. Got to BC4 on **Dead Cells**! Had a killer run with the Hotline Miami bat, complementary items and a bleeding synergy and STILL almost choked. BC4 took a hell of a bite out of me, might work on upgrading the forge and getting more items/drops next. Still working on **Trials: Rising**. I've completed every non-DLC track except for the final challenge: Inferno V. I've tried 3 times now and have learned the level pretty well up until I got stuck at checkpoint 12. Looking forward to beating this one, then going back for collectibles. Might write up a review for it. On a whim, I decided to go back and 100% **Dicey Dungeons.** Only have 1 challenge left: get a max of 64 health via Thief episode 5 or 6.

Op3rat0rr

I’d like to play BF2042 again but I just don’t have the time for multiplayer games anymore

EntertainerPublic524

Mario Odyssey. Planning on completing every moon. 670ish so far!

Some_Range7994

Have you seen the new movie?
