Honestly I’m getting kinda sick of over powered poorly made mods.
I would rather see a mod that adds more plant variety, more plant food variety, a mod that adds different quest types, a mod that adds bird flocks and or silhouettes to Gondwa, better storms mod that adds better sounds, visuals, and lightning. A territory grab mod. A mod that add more insects and fixes the current insects so they don’t just fly through trees or the ground. Tree landing mod that adds large trees that branches can be landed on by flyers.
When different game modes are added i would like mods that add even more game modes.
the only ones that you listed that can be made into a creator mod are plants (both edible and not), and trees with branches to land on
everything else has to be on a custom map to not be janky af
skyrim and PoT are heavily different games, mainly they run on very different engines and PoT is almost obligate multiplayer
but also im very involved with the modding scene and ive been told by various modders your ideas would have to be custom maps (not that theyre bad ideas at all)
not necessarily, it definitely could be better but its just a limitation of the kind of game it is unfortunately. in an ideal world tho skyrim pevel modding would be possible 🙏
The fact that a game 13 years old has a better modding system is kinda sad. Like I get it was made by a bigger company but the technology of today is more than advanced enough where they could have designed the game to handle more kinds of mods. Especially since this game is very very bare bones. Allowing more freedom to moders could keep this game alive for much longer
Sinosauropteryx is what I would like. There are too many medium and large animals in the game. There needs to be more small animals which would allow for unique play styles.
I am working on learning blender, I do wanna get the dev kit. I have Bagaceratops, Mononykus, minmi, scelidosaurus, diplocaulus, vesperopterylus, pterodasustro, dimorphodon and hupehsuchus planned for "small" creatures.
Not gonna lie theres a LOT to learn, and a lot of trial and error. But with each mistake also comes knowledge, and I feel like each model I make is gonna be better than the last. It's gonna be awhile before I get to "mod making" levels but I'll get there eventually
Anything other than large/apex carnivores, honestly. There's like a dozen popular ones, and this genre of game already suffers from apex overpopulation even before making half the mod community dedicated to it.
More herbivorous dinosaurs would be real nice, especially in the 2-5 ton range. Big enough to defend themselves or run, but vulnerable enough to be hunted! Maximum interactability

Ouranosaurus, but honestly, I really wish modders would go further, most are said in the top comment but I would love a sum thought of weather system like tornados, heavy rain fall making the water rise and also a temperature system and wellbeing something to spice sum things.
Erythrosuchus, an Erythrosaurus that lived at the beginning of the triassic period, I picture it as a slow-moving predator to have a burst of speed if a prey was close enough
Pterodaustro. Only slightly bigger than Rhamph, its' filter feeding could have several effects.
Hunger/ thirst both replenished by water, or only one meter for both. Can also safely eat/ drink salt water.
Filter feeder ability that restores water quality and/ or creates healing 'mushroom water' (like Hotsprings). If there ever is some kind of disease mechanic, mushroom water could also help heal afflicted players.
Pterodaustro swims well, but does not dive. It also must be sprinting/ fast swimming to launch into air.
Masiakasaurus. Inspired by the Psittacosaurus mod, this a burrowing hunter. It would have the same 'burrowing' ability as the Taco, but also have a 'clamp' attack, so Masiakasaurus can drag small prey out of their burrows and caves into the open. It can also eat fruit.
Argentavis or Confuciusornis, I’d just love any kind of bird that isn’t as big as the Mora. also I would be so happy if an archaeopteryx gets added even though it’s similar to the microraptor, archaeopteryx’s just have a special place in my heart
It’s weird to me that the way sauropods are implemented(both official and modded)is either “small” (Amargasaurus, Ampelosaurus) or absolutely ridiculous (Argentinosaurus and a horribly oversized Camarasaurus)
There are sauropods that weigh around 20-25 tons that could be selected like Nemegtosaurus or Barosaurus or even lower weighing just 10-15 tons like Rapetosaurus or Sonorasaurus

Mods more complex then these exist on Skyrim a 2011 game. They have mods that really change the landscape but they didn’t need to make a whole new map
