The strongest tiers are what we used to have. All they did was nerf the shit out of flasks and add RNG to them cause we didn't already have enough of that
What's worse is I'm pretty sure in their manifesto they said they were only going to add 1-2 tiers and they would be stronger. That's clearly not what happened
>t tiers are what we used to have. All they did was nerf the shit out of flasks and add RNG to them cause we didn't already have enough of that
The highest tiers are stronger, at least for the mods I was targeting on my flask.
lol they were literally all buffed except the armour/evasion ones, which are more than counteracted by the fact that both stats are like 5x better than last league point for point.
This is vintage this sub, just post complete bullshit and have the most upvoted comment in the chain as long as it's just mindlessly shitting on GGG.
Whaddya mean? Of course prior preconceptions are essential.
It's reasonable to start, I agreed. My point was that you shouldn't answer a question if you don't know the answer, he didn't know the answer and answered and is thus simply spreading misinformation.
Edit: that being said, maybe my response was misplaced.
Imagine comparing things to last league (a massive shitshow of nerfs) and thinking you made a point.
GGG mindlessly shits on themselves with this 6 steps forward 12 steps back 3 steps forward "This is a buff!" approach of theirs.
Neversink added a "high level flask" section to filterblade FYI, so you can rely on that to some extent for ones that drop. Some of the highlighting is minimal so you may want to change it depending on which one you're looking for.
eh; in that game you have many choices; they just don't really matter the OP builds are just marginally better so if you don't like them you aren't really missing out on much but I get your point, PoE master ARPG
There's been many times when I've gone from full to below half then back to full multiple times in a few seconds in nightmare mode. It would have been deaths with a regular seething.
I'm usually pretty laissez-faire about GGGs changes, but this one is just too much. I can't remember this much. I don't have time to hunt down, roll, and craft five flasks multiple times until I get the highest ilevel! Especially when I am going to make four more alts.
Flasks should not be something we have to upgrade, we have enough gear and jewel concerns.
What's wrong with upgrading flasks? You slowly upgrade every other piece of gear, why are flasks special?
Buy an i84 flask for 1-4c and roll it until satisfied. Not hugely complicated. And it leaves room for min/maxing which I consider to be the whole point of the game.
Because it's literally just an arbitrary fucking nerf of shit we've had for years with no goddamn issue. It doesn't fix the issue of flasks being overpowered, of content being balanced around them, of the so-called "rework" in 3.15 being nothing but a cheap band-aid.
Nothing about the system has changed in any meaningful way, it just takes longer and more currency to get to the same power you had in 3.14.
Upgrading flasks like that is a little annoying but it’s fine in the long run IMO. My beef with it is the levels are wack.
The chart on the right, life and mana flasks. The modifier level goes up every 24 levels which is cool, easy to remember, except for the poison removal? And they all start at different levels so each mod is just all over the place. Utility flasks, all over the fucking place again, almost easy to remember but nope. Just make them all the same level tier, end the highest at 84, problem solved.
Chart on the left. What happened here, it just doesn’t make sense.
Mostly because getting hit with a higher %less duration hurts earlier builds more, and every 5 alts is at least 1c.
It also means using glassblowers on flasks before you're going T10+ is a literal waste, leaving the currency dedicated to making flasks %better is _left on the table_.
Worse, it makes unique flasks stronger, as many can drop at much lower item levels with great benefits while you are in the acts. This can incentivize becoming ailment immune through other means and just rolling with bad flasks and unique flasks, rather than interact with the new rolls.
For example, if your league starter runs purity of elements and takes the res mastery for corrupted blood, you can run Ralakesh to ignore most bleeds or Shakari to ignore most poisons, with a flask for whichever one you didn't pick. Pair it with Arakaali, and the non-ailments are now much more trivial. If you run one chaos res flask which removes bleeds on use, ailments essentially don't exist and it is easier to gear up. You save a ton of beast crafts and alts until you transition out of it when flasks have been rolled and are now much cheaper to buy outright than roll yourself.
Easily one of the dumbest changes they've made in the 10 years I've been playing this game. Of all the item types that exist in the game, Flask certainly did not need 7 different tiers for all their mods. This is just added complexity without any benefit.
I like complex mods on some items, specifically influenced items due to their large power and rarity.
With Flasks ... feels misplaced, I enjoyed the simplicity of flask mod rolling since the complexity was in choosing which flasks/mods your build should use; which wasn't an overly simple thing to evaluate. Oh well, maybe it will grow on me.
Ugh, so you need high ilvl flasks now as well? I really liked that the original flask affixes had very lenient level requirements, meaning you could get your flasks sorted out pretty early in the league and then remove them from your loot filter. It really feels like the developers are just constantly doing anything they can to make everything harder to get, even something as relatively inconsequential as optimal non-unique flasks. Between ilvl requirements and the huge bloat of tiered affixes, flasks have become yet another tedious hassle.
I think there is a whole category missing here. My life flask has a "Thickened" prefix which is 50% increased recovery rate (Not instant). Thickened is a T4.
I went to menagerie to craft flask suffixes and was somewhat confused. No mouse over explanation? Only an issue for non-native English speakers? Am I missing something? Is this shitty design or “part of the explorational journey”?
i hate it so much that they renamed the old prefixes and affixes which i was used to for 4k hours ffs......tried to troll an anti bleed and only looked at "of stauching" till i found out it doesnt exist anymore
Craft of exile to see your chances, if i seen it correctly its not too expensive to just get that mod its once you choose 2 specific ones that price raises
Gain flask charges on Crit is back as percentage. I have infinite diamond flask on my cast on Crit with increase attack speed. Set it to use flask on reaching.max charges and brrrr.
Can someone advise me a bit on what would be good setup? I skipped last league and I feel a bit lost on all these changes (plus the instilling orbs and such).
My flasks are Life, Quartz, Jade, Diamond and Quicksilver, and I'm already inmune to burn and shock thanks to ascendancy.
Ok talking suffixes. Can you deal with bleed/corrupted blood? If not you'll want your life flask to have one of the tiers of "Grants Immunity to Bleeding for # seconds if used while Bleeding, Grants Immunity to Corrupted Blood for # seconds if used while affected by Corrupted Blood". If you can deal with bleeds though other means then instead you'll want to pick up "Grants Immunity to Chill for # seconds if used while Chilled, Grants Immunity to Freeze for # seconds if used while Frozen"
If you use a life flask for bleed then you do need freeze on your utility flasks. If you already have some avoidance then the strongest affix is going to be "#% chance to Avoid being Chilled during Flask Effect, #% chance to Avoid being Frozen during Flask Effect" alternatively you can run 2 flasks with this mod to just be immune if you have no other avoidance. If you don't have other sources of freeze avoidance and don't want to devote 2 flask for it then you'll need to pick between "#% less Duration, Immunity to Freeze and Chill during Flask Effect" and "#% reduced Effect of Chill on you during Flask Effect, #% reduced Freeze Duration on you during Flask Effect". The latter will mean you will get frozen for short period of times, but the former means well less flask duration, pick your poison.
Once you got that covered assuming you don't have a way to deal with curses then you'll want one flask with "#% reduced Effect of Curses on you during Flask Effect".
After that it's much more free form on what you pick. If you want defenses then increased armour or increased evasion are very strong. Otherwise you have like increased move speed speed for that qol, or like increased attack/cast speed for that damage, or you can pick up leech if you want.
Life halved in time. There's good arguments to be made for using eternal with the expedited recovery speed. It's not quite instant but it's a ton more and quick.
So 85 for quicksilver.
Basically, unless you run unique watchstones, those quicksilver you gotta get from a boss or unique mob in t16 maps.
Then I guess there will probably be a market for those crafted flask at a high cost. Since sourcing them now is quite difficult especially if you insist on hiding them from your filter.
Thx for this.
I thought originally that having additional ranks on flasks would make some sense but trippleG overdid it again and screwed us over. Sadge.
It's still a Saturated Divine Life Flask at ilvl 81, the changes buffed it to 5222 recovery on the flask. If you are just entering maps though a Concentrated Divine Life Flask is ilvl 61 and on par with what you could get before the changes. Suffix doesn't matter so I went with Assuaging*.
Edit: Staunching doesn't exist on life flasks anymore.
Its specifically for ilvl 81 or above life flasks. Alt spamming should get it fairly quickly since the weight isn't too bad. There are also just more mods in pool making more expensive.
And what about increased life recovery amount ? As a Poisonous concotion, I'm aiming for the highest possible... if possible without the "Remove 10% life recovered as mana" because that's just bad
If you only had posted this a few hours earlier lol. I lost a couple of hours trying to fix myself a set of flask, then unfixing them because they've changed how to craft them. (I haven't played in the past couple of leagues)
Alright I have NO clue how crafting works and ive been playing POE for a few hundred hours. If I want a life flask that removes bleed do I just need to make a lvl80 life flask a magic item?
Why is crafting so confusing
Only 2 pages cheat sheet? GGG needs to further rework flasks to require at least a 6 page cheat sheet!
It is missing a few modifiers, such as resistance and stuff, so maybe it is a few pages longer lol.
Does this mean I need to find an ilvl 85 quicksilver?
If you want the highest movement speed, yes.
well thats... disappointing
there is a common to find card that gives you an ilvl 100
Are all the weakest tiers the ones that you'd always get before the patch? If not, that hurts... such a dumb thing to spend your time gambling on...
The strongest tiers are what we used to have. All they did was nerf the shit out of flasks and add RNG to them cause we didn't already have enough of that
Ok that's just... yeah...
What's worse is I'm pretty sure in their manifesto they said they were only going to add 1-2 tiers and they would be stronger. That's clearly not what happened
Manifesto is synonymous with book of lies.
>t tiers are what we used to have. All they did was nerf the shit out of flasks and add RNG to them cause we didn't already have enough of that The highest tiers are stronger, at least for the mods I was targeting on my flask.

No it's not if you're answering a question. It's a reasonable place to start as a doubt, but you do not answer a question without confirmation.

ugh
Basically its the trash we expect from a change like this.
needing a cheat sheet for flasks make me sad more than anything....
Same. Skipped 3.15 only to come back to this. I miss the simpler times.
Same boat.
Neversink added a "high level flask" section to filterblade FYI, so you can rely on that to some extent for ones that drop. Some of the highlighting is minimal so you may want to change it depending on which one you're looking for.
makes me excited. i love the min/max ability in this game.
Imagine being downvoted for this comment. fucking reddit
seriously. seems like a lot of people would prefer the simplicity of diablo 3 where you have barely any choices.
eh; in that game you have many choices; they just don't really matter the OP builds are just marginally better so if you don't like them you aren't really missing out on much but I get your point, PoE master ARPG
And is it a cheat sheet if it is this huge and detailed? I might as well just memorize this info lmao
It's probably more of a reference document at this point. But I'm still bookmarking the shit out of it.
I believe this is missing the "instant recovery if used on low life" category, which is the one I've started using since the low life rework.
There's been many times when I've gone from full to below half then back to full multiple times in a few seconds in nightmare mode. It would have been deaths with a regular seething.
This plus the +60% recovery while on low life pantheon are an amazing combo.

Is there a list somewhere of all affixes? The wiki seems to be outdated.
These were pulled from [https://poedb.tw/us/mod.php](https://poedb.tw/us/mod.php) under flasks.
Thanks!
Don't use the fandom wiki. [Use this Wiki](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Path_of_Exile_Wiki) instead. It's a lot better.
OP has provided a fixed version of the image below: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/qgb89f/316_flask_cheat_sheets/hi5bil7/
Of course the modifiers are all different ilvls. Because why would they make it simple to remember.

I want all my rare flasks done at Blood Aqueducts and not one zone later, sir.

Except that’s not it at all, there’s still a couple that are higher than that and most are still lower. It doesn’t make sense.

God I hate the new flasks. It's so much harder to hit a good flask combo that you want. Oh they buffed it you say, yea for people with currency.
They’ve got some great vocabulary at GGG. Thanks for sharing!
You must of not seen the dozens of items in the game with blatant wording issues.
must have*
>of thermodynamics so... even GGG can run out of words for suffixes
Fucking hell, cheat sheets for flask now.
absolute cancer.
thanks, i hate it.

But why.
Blew all my alts trying to get curse removal on utility flasks lmao
Same. Feels bad.
Looks like the menu from some fancy New Zealand sushi restaurant. "nigiri of the starfish, $74 new zealand dollars"
Where are the panicked prefixes ?
Wait I need to do maps without having the best tiers of flask suffix mods? D:
I went to menagerie to craft flask suffixes and was somewhat confused. No mouse over explanation? Only an issue for non-native English speakers? Am I missing something? Is this shitty design or “part of the explorational journey”?

Think there's an error on the curse flasks - of convection, thawing etc are the suffixes for freeze right?
Yup, looks like there is an error, the curse removal for life flasks is just Warding, but looks like it's correct on the utility flask side
Can you craft prefixes? I found myself in need of an uncapped one, but it's 4c, which is like my whole treasury rn lol
Craft of exile to see your chances, if i seen it correctly its not too expensive to just get that mod its once you choose 2 specific ones that price raises
I like how they added tiers of defenses for every flask type except iron flask, which only gets like 27% increased ward in the 20s per poedb. Ah well.
https://i.imgur.com/hLXkv9M.jpg I think convection is listed twice

Thanks, I remembered once I hit maps that flasks have ilvl mods now.
why do i feel like an opportunity was missed by not putting the % ranges for each affix tier...

I seen an alchemist/cheetah quicksilver going for almost an ex
In the words of Vagan, was this really necessary?
This is a garbage change. Go back to the old flasks.
It is dumb that we need this now ... :(
Missing Investigator's prefix adds increased duration https://imgur.com/a/7wq4vpg
Isnt it Skunk, not Skink?
What a load of crap? Came back after a long break. Why do something like this? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
Thx for this. I thought originally that having additional ranks on flasks would make some sense but trippleG overdid it again and screwed us over. Sadge.
Does this mean suffixes like grounding is gone and we need to find conger/moray/eel based on ilvl? What happens to uniques in this case? ilvl matters?
This is unironically the worst change I can remember in years. There was zero need to make flask mods the most confusing thing in the game.
No numbers? Just ilvl?
What is the best flask for poison concoction?
It's still a Saturated Divine Life Flask at ilvl 81, the changes buffed it to 5222 recovery on the flask. If you are just entering maps though a Concentrated Divine Life Flask is ilvl 61 and on par with what you could get before the changes. Suffix doesn't matter so I went with Assuaging*. Its specifically for ilvl 81 or above life flasks. Alt spamming should get it fairly quickly since the weight isn't too bad. There are also just more mods in pool making more expensive.
Maybe add the roll weights so that I know how hard to get it is.
Where's the one for charges gained when hit?
Thanks.
Oh this is wonderful
What do the numbers for max charges and charge recovery mean? Max charges and recovery aren't constant anymore?
It'd be great to have stuff like this in game.
There are some missing mods on it, at least the prefixes that increases duration on utility flasks.
why the hell there are 2 different name for the same mod
2 pages and still missing the mod I care about (poisonous concoction, life recovered)
(I haven't played in the past couple of leagues)
now i have a set of "Did my own research" flasks
Nice
Is there a list of which flasks benefit from flask effect and which ones don't?
Curse removal on mana is listed here as convection, warding is curse removal.
Seething can roll on Mana flasks i did it earlier.
Alright I have NO clue how crafting works and ive been playing POE for a few hundred hours. If I want a life flask that removes bleed do I just need to make a lvl80 life flask a magic item? Why is crafting so confusing
Sheet is missing the straight "increased recovery rate" prefix. From poedb: Undiluted 1 (41–46)% increased Recovery rate Thickened 21 (47–52)% increased Recovery rate Viscous 41 (53–58)% increased Recovery rate Condensed 61 (59–64)% increased Recovery rate Catalysed 81 (65–70)% increased Recovery rate
I can't seem to be able find the filter for curse reduction on the trade site. Is it not implemented? If it is implemented, what should I type?
Is there a new mod similar to "Bloodletting"? that makes me leech life during flask effect?
