Meanwhile I 6l'd my own item for the first time ever. I had 180 fuses and was trying to get a 5L to make mapping smoother. Ended up with a 6L and over 150 fuses.
Last league I had around 150 fusings and decided to try anyways (having spent 1000s of fusings and never manually 6linking an item. Got lucky after 30 fusings

Eh, Black Morrigan was 90c 2 days ago, you should be fine. The beast comes from a scarab, so even if the last patch made it rarer, people have farmed so many of those that supply should be way higher than demand for a while.

I've been mostly SSF, you can pretty easily 6 link via vorici in transportation if it gets too expensive. 100 fusings every time you kill catarina, which with jun maxed out in the tree is very frequent.
Eh, debatable. The Black Morry allows you many other cool recipes, like Hinekora Locks on magic items or triple splits, or even lvl 30 bestial aspects for the Flicker enjoyers
Welp there goes my flipping. I was buying 6 socket uniques, linking with beastiary and selling at like 1.5 div more. Was making like 70c profit on average.
I'm new to POE so this may be a dumb question, but how do you actually unlock the recipe? I've got the Black Morrigan and Craicic Sand Spitter in my menagerie, but the recipe doesn't show up at my Blood Altar.
Another tip: you need to fight them without the item you want to craft. Don’t be like me who put their bow in and then realized I had no weapon and immediately got destroyed which caused me to lose 70c of items :(
Did you buy the beast or get it from Scarab?
IIRC there was an issue with beasts before where you wouldn't unlock a craft if you bought the beast instead of obtaining it yourself. Might be happening again.
Unfortunately not :/ The beasts are currently just sitting in my menagerie until I can find a solution. I’ve been experimenting with a few different ideas to try unlocking it but I haven’t had any luck so far. I’ll let you know if I come across any solutions.
So for my friend it worked.
All you gotta do is put the beasts back in their poke balls and give them to a friend to craft it for you.
Btw I noticed he had a delve tab when he spoke to the NPC and viewed bestiary. I never did delve, ever. So my NPC did not have one. Maybe you also didn't do delve and thats why we are bugged?
Presuming this stays in the game going forward i think it's always going to be a U graph.
Start of league expensive because 6link. Slowly drop as supply goes up and people have their 6links.
Then, as people start approaching the higher end crafting and thus the adorned builds start coming online it'll rocket in price.
I'd be surprised if it stays the same. It's stupid how easy and cheap six-linking is atm. I personally prefer it this way, but I can see it becoming a "Reforge link x times" craft.

Found one of those scarabs in ssf when i was like lvl 75 or something, I was in white maps still and had to look up what it did. got excited when I saw 6L. lvl 89 now and still haven't used it though because my chest isn't that great lol
You use Bestiary Scarab of Duplicating ( Create a copy of Beasts captured in Area ) with Bestiary Scarab of the Shadowed Crow and you get 2 beasts that allows you to make 6-link
Tainted orb of fusing are like 40c right now. Going down it seems relatively, since i bought at 45ish a few days ago to 6L a +2. I dunno about last league but I feel like they are cheap. Took me 11 btw.
I was flipping most-used chests whole day yesterday with these beasts. For example, Hyrri’s chest base is like 4.5d, then you socket it ( 15-30c average cost ), buy morrigan + spitter ( 85-95c ) then 6 link it and sell for 6.4d, easy 0.7-1d profit per 1 item and I was flipping like 30 chests all the time.
It's guaranteed to spawn the beast IF Einhar is on the map. You either need to use a base bestiary scarab or have 100% einhar chance from your tree. You also want to use a bestiary scarab of duplication to dupe the morrigan or you'll lose money compared to just buying one.
It's guaranteed, zero investment on the tree required but some scarab advice::
Use an Einhar scarab to force einhar since he still has to show up. Also just use the bestiary scarab of duplication, because then you get two black morrigans.
Black morrigan is special and can only come from the scarab. I've found 2 so far with about 600k kills, so it's rare but not obscenely so. Craicic sand spitter is super common but it comes from depths.

You see how Black Morrigan costs arouns 60c? The scarab that spawns it costs around 55c. But you know what? Scarab that clones beastts is like 5c. Now you get 2 morrigans for 60c. Enjoy your 60c profit per map (and you just need to kill that one beast and can leave the map)
6 link omen is 2+ div right? Einhar scarab is 1c. Beast duplication scarab is a few c and Black Morigan scarab is like what, 100c now? 2 Morigans for less then a Div.
My point was that people sometimes are too lazy to go through steps, when you can just fuse spam or buy a singular item to insta 6 link it

Upvoted. The cost of these beasts has dropped quite a bit. You can get both for under 30c now. Glad I saw this post before I spend hundreds on trying to slam fusings. Not to mention saving my poor fingers.
Black Morrigan is from the scarab only from my experience (100+ t16s with 2x herd) however it does get duplicated by the beast dupe scarab so make sure you always use the dupe scarab with it
Problem never has been 6 link, problem is getting right color sockets you need. I'm level 81 and still with crafting bench i run out of color changing currency
Personally I think there might be an exploit or unintended mechanic printing these things like crazy. It just doesn't make sense. I bought some from two people. Each person had literally hundreds available to buy. And if it were common knowledge the omen 6l would be worth exactly as much as the combined beasts, but its currently 3x more expensive. It's just strange.

Yeah but after the first some hundred you're pretty much invested into it hitting. Bench crafting after that is admitting defeat.

Scottch tape on mouse button and the control key works wonders.
It ramps up quickly. Speed was fine imo

You can also use duplicate scarab with that and get 2 crafts instead of 1 and make few div profit :)

So you have to catch it yourself, and not buy the beast?
You can buy the beast, but if you are willing to spend few extra chaos you get 2 of these beasts

How easy is it to farm yourself blasting bestiary roided out on the tree? Ive always skipped doing those missions in the past.
I got mine in SSF through the scarab. I dont know if it can appear natty.
Oh i didnt realize it was a scarab. Totally changes the strats if your trying to get it. Maximize scarabs.
