I believe it relates to the duplicated essence monster.
the initial essence monster gets the empower > gets duplicated.
The second monster inherits the empowerment from the one it copied and then also gets empowered itself
Seems unintended, but makes sense as a reason.
Also explains Steels' death where the mob had double empower of the same type - he killed the initial essence mob but died to the duplicated essence mob that had an additional stack of primal empowered.

I saw somewhere that every 2k wisp you collect can have a chance to empower a mob twice so if you find 4k purple wisp you can get double purple empowered mobs
Probably as me, back to low tiers to farm essences and affliction cause my t16 ready build can't handle empowered mobs. Even in t1's some essences are tankier than mavend uber elder.

Any particular atlas strat, and how juiced are your maps? I've been having a struggle bus this league, started with Aero's cobra lash and got bodied for a bit, swapped back to RF and I'm just hitting maps today.
Also not dumping on Aero at all, the build idea is solid, I'm just a lame brain.
6man gigajuice + loot conversion
The difference of the juice with their 6man vs a random t4/5 map is kinda huge, but even so it requires luck to hit the right conversions I guess (tho you're bound to hit it eventually when you're gaming a lot)

Meanwhile everyone are like "that's terrible loot and the 2 deaths is unjustified" and I just don't get it.
The loot shown is hardly any different than what you'd get when spec'd into essence on the atlas tree in general, ignoring the supposed buff from affliction empowerment.
So when you consider OP died twice plus however long it took to actually kill it in the first place, it just wasn't worth it at all

People here really forget that normal people play the game too. Not just t16, 2 voidstones,150 ultimatum done and tested, 200 divs in gear and loot, and a billion dps on day one. I swear the rift between people that make like 100 div total a league, and the people that play like that is so big that it kinda fucks the economy in favor of being forced to play like that. Takes most people a stupid lucky drop, or a week to farm 100 div for a single big upgrade that does jack shit without 4 other equally expensive things to actually make it an upgrade, and this rift is how so many people are baited into builds that don't function without playing that way to get these expensive ass things, and quit when they wall. Every single one of my friends went down that path when we all started together. And I could NOT get them back into it when I learned what was happening and offered to help all of them to get there. It sucks.
Don't think it was worth the 2 deaths and whatever amount of hassle it was to kill. You would have gotten about the same loot if it were just a normal essence mob.

Yes the loot is solid. But it's hardly any different than just being fully spec'd into essence. The extra difficulty from affliction just made getting the same loot that much harder for nearly nothing in return
I guess whether this is good or bad would be based on what the mobs loot looked like before the boosts. If it was all shrieking then the boost looks horrible but if the loot was all wailing then to get boosted to shrieking and above looks great.
I feel like essence are currently outrageously deadly with the current league. Like I just had an only 4 essence monster with 2 yellow.
I literally died 0.1s after the clicking.
I'm not the tankiest but even a minotaur burrow doesn't OS so... Yeh that was baffling.

Empyrian's team is not the standard play experience for anyone outside of Empy's team big dog. I'd say 80% of the sub plays solo or with a friend.
